”If we had Rafales, the result could have been different” : Narendra Modi after Pakistan skirmish

How will Indians react to their PM conceding defeat in this recent saga?

How does it become "accepting the defeat?"
In that sense, even pakistan have accepted defeat when said something like "we might have intruded the Indian jets but it was dark'. Lol.

Lmaoo that would make no difference. Your pilots aren't as skilled or talented, they still be defeated if they had f 22s.

i dont know if urdu hindi is ur first language, but the quote was "humari airforce ready thi, raat ka waqt thaa, putta nahin challa kai kitna nuqsaan hua, so they waited for that"

which translated is "our airforce was ready, it was night, so they couldn't tell what damage had been done, so they waited for that"

given the IAF bombed a hill with some trees on it, i'm guessing the pakistan air force might have been a bit confused as to what the proper retaliatory action was, given the unique situation.

of course even given the actual audio availability the indian media ran with the mis translation, or at least obvious mis interpretation.

and most importantly pakistan never denied indian penetration of its air space, and if blasting a few trees on a hillside was the aim, by all means the pakistani state and media corroborated the success of that mission.

Modi copying Imran Khan. Mentioned Naya Bharat many times in his speech.

He is accepting defeat for sure. It is like saying "had the referee not sent Salah off we would not have lost".

Is that a surprise? He lost the dog fight and is back to politics now to enrich his buddy at reliance.

If you give Ahmed Shezad VK’s bat he won’t become Kholi; the same is true for iaf, it doesn’t matter what plane you fly, iaf will never be PAF!

Modi needs face saving from this. He knows that his pilots were humiliated by PAF. BJP is a rogue party; a real threat to peace in the region.

Of course Pak needs to deal with the immediate threat from India which is by no means over yet. Two Pakistani soldiers were martyred at LOC yesterday. A full scale war is unlikely however. I think our army and airforce are more than a match for India. Absolute numbers are not that significant. Jazba is 🙂.

In the long term focus should be on boosting trade and investment in the country. Once we reduce our financial dependency on outsiders, the world will automatically listen to us because of our strategic position. At the moment because of our precarious economic situation and dependency on others, countries such as US and even China, UAE and Saudia can afford to ignore us or stay neutral where it suits them, the recent OIC meeting being an example of that 🙂

Money talks

UAE trade with India $57 billion

UAE trade with Pakistan $8 billion

Modi bit of more then he can chew. He forgot that we are lohay ke chanay:amir3

First, let's have a look at a few facts:

Rafale has 100-km range Meteor air-to-air missiles while that of F16 is 75 KM. And its only 20 KM of Mig 21.
F16 is 4th generation aircraft and to tackle it India needs to deploy 2 Sukhoi (3.5th generation) for 1.
Rafale is 4th generation aircraft but superior to F16 and to tackle it Pakistan will need to deploy 2 F16 for 1.
Now you need to know what happened in Mig 21 Bison vs F16 dogfight:

Mig 21 shot down F16 which was an incredible feat in itself.
But since Mig 21 has missile range of 20 KM so the pilot had to get much closer to F16. Thus taking a higher risk by entering PoK airspace.
After shooting F16, the pilot wanted to immediately turn back towards Indian airspace from PoK airspace.
For this, he performed a highly dangerous maneuver called “High-g barrel roll” He had to do this because he had been in the vicinity of Pak surface to air artillery and SAM. In order to do so, he had to vertically climb at high speed and reverse his direction towards India. While doing so his old outdated Mig-21 Bison’s engine thrust had a problem and it became almost non-maneuverable for few secs. And during that time Pakistan’s anti-aircraft gun hit it.
Now imagine if Indian pilot Abhinandan had a modern aircraft like Rafale.

He could have easily performed his “High-g barrel roll” maneuver without having to pause for few seconds in which he was shot down.
He need not enter into PoK airspace to shoot F16 as Rafale’s range is 100 KM vs 20 KM of Mig 21 Bison.
Now analyze Narendra Modi’s statement, “The country is feeling the absence of Rafale. The entire country is saying in one voice today, what all could have happened if we had Rafale. The country has suffered a lot due to selfish interests earlier and now politics over Rafale.”

And Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, “Modi ji you are solely responsible for the delay in delivery of Rafale because you stole 30,000 from Air Force and gave it to Ambani.”

For ease in the analysis:

Indian Airforce had requested modern aircraft 16 years ago. From 2004 to 2014 UPA sat over Rafale deal for various reasons and at last in 2014, AK Antony said, “Not enough money to buy Rafale.”
Modi Government signed the deal in 2016. First Rafale will be delivered in Sep 2019 and all 36 by 2022.
What to say about Rahul Gandhi’s “30,000 crores” lie which he shamelessly repeats. People have got tired to explain to the bull. Still, I would explain in the summarised form:
Offsets of 30,000 crores of Rafale is divided into 4 parts:
Dassault (the integrator) - 8,400 crores (22%),
Thales (radars and avionics) - 6,300 crores,
Safran (engines and electronics) - 6,300 crores,
DRDO (an Indian govt. co) - 9,000 crores (30 %) [set aside by all the above 3 companies from their original share]
For its part of obligations, Dassault has roped in over 72 companies one of them is 51:50 Joint Venture with Reliance of 840 crores.
840 crores are just 3 % of the offsets.
840 crores are 51:50 JV between Dassault and Reliance.
840 crores mean worth of equipments manufactured and not goes into Ambani’s pockets.
Dassault-Reliance JV manufactures parts of Falcon or other jets and not whole Rafale.

The problem with this post is that there is no evidence an F-16 was shot down :)

By august Pakistan will also have 5 gen fighter air crafts. So you will be 1 month late than them.

Not only he admitted defeat but he also put the SU-30MKI to shame. Damn, horrible times as an indian. Getting slapped from all corners. :yk

Indian su got destroyed? Well I am yet to confirm this if you say so.
Between congrates on destroying one Indian jet and winning the war. Hopefully all air services will now start in Pakistan after 3 days. It was off for 2 hours only in northern Indian though.
Well we know air services on Krke krna b kya hi Pakistan me. Kaam vaam hi ni koi but still.. May be kisi ko jrurat PD Jaye

Lack of evidence never stopped Indians from claiming false stuff and fantasizing. Its a nation build on bollywood. They believe their government's fake claims and their fake news media because they WANT to believe it to feel good about themselves.

They will just make a movie on this and feel good about themselves. :)))

Jahil insan, if hes calling for Rafales, it means that your current PM, the commander in chief, is not happy with the current resources at hand which includes the SU-30 MKI (rumored to be shot down as well).

Jyda PDE likhe insaan. Modi ne means toh btaya ni tune khud interpret Krliya? Modi has said many other things as well. Hope you take all things of him seriously.

Wow I havent seen a sitting PM ever admit defeat like this. Its funny how despite having control over Indian media he still could learn a thing or two about PR.

Rafale G2G deal was signed by Modi . They are yet to arrive . Anyone who thinks PAF is a match for IAF is a idiot which Modi surely is .

Modi deserves a chittaran da haar.
I can understand Gujju's voting for him because I am yet to see a single Gujurati in the armed forces but anybody from Punjab ,Haryana voting for him needs to have their heads examined.
