2015 World Cup Result | India beat Bangladesh by 109 runs to seal Semi Final place

Congratulations India.

They outplayed us in all aspects. We are still a young team and will look to do better next time

to be fair, in bangla forums, i have seen mushraf hailed as a hero. but what he did today was atrocious. yelling at taskin like that???? you need to give inspirations to youngsters, NOT belittle them. very disappointed in him. i don't think under his leadership, bangladesh can go forward. he may be technically more sound as a captain, but i can get an idea how he will be behind the stage with the players.... and that's certainly not good.

Yeah, this was before their eventual break-up

Sorry to say but he was acting like a gawaar on the field.

So India has an easy ride in QF. It would be easier for India (They can rest some of the key players i.e Kohli, Dhoni, Shami, Raina for the final) if we manage to beat Australia.

India has only beaten one quality team SA, and is in the Quarter final... pathetic overrated team, had it not be bias umpiring result would be different...

So you agree Pakistan isn't a quality side, yet have a problem is Ganguly indirectly says so??

We all knew Pakistan is not a quality team specially selecting some mediocre players and injury of some key players. Had we not these problems we could be a better team for sure.

The ICC has clarified that the benefit of doubt will be granted to the fielder in cases of inconclusive evidence over contact with the boundary rope while completing a catch or effecting a run-out. The clarification follows controversy surrounding Mahendra Singh Dhoni's dismissal on the fourth day of the Antigua Test recently.

According to the protocol, if the on-field umpires are uncertain, they can refer the decision to the third umpire, whose sole responsibility is to decide whether the boundary was scored. However, if the replays are inconclusive, the benefit of the doubt will be given to the fielder, which means that no boundary will be awarded due to lack of evidence. As no boundary has been scored, the only decision left would be for the on-field umpire to give the batsman out caught.

The action was necessitated after Daren Ganga claimed Dhoni's catch at the edge of the mid-wicket boundary but the batsman stood his ground, as there was doubt whether the fielder was touching the boundary rope while taking the catch. However, the TV replays were inconclusive, leading to utter confusion among the players and on-field umpires. Ultimately, Dhoni walked off after Brian Lara told him to take the fielder's word that the dismissal was effected legitimately.

come on why they didn't zoom in at rope , his foot touched the rope...
India playing with 14 players ...

Actually 52,371

We got the Match Referee , the ground staff we told to delay covering the pitch if it rains ( 8 of them in total ) and 52, 348 Indian fans in the stadium :D

Nice summary, thanks!

I looked at the video a few times, and the best I could make out was that he came very close to the ropes but did not actually touch them. This has to be a great great catch. Can't think of another occasion that the fielder catches the ball, realizes the momentum is going to take him over the boundary, has the presence of mind to throw the ball into the field, go over the boundary and then come back to catch the ball inside the field.

So instead of a six, BD lost their best batsman. It probably would not have made a difference to the final result, but it was the biggest blow to the BD innings.

And only the umpires can see the front foot no ball. EVERYONE CAN SEE THE HEIGHT NO BALL.

Unfair.

India needs the help of umpires.

Another world cup bought by them

Cry Cry and find conspiracy theoriesas much as you want.........but at least wait till end of tournament and see if India actually win it....and if they win it....then cry, ccook theories...fill buckets ur tears.. but mate....why waste your tears from now itself
