23 wickets fall on day 1 of the 2nd Test between South Africa (55, 62/3) and India (153)

But you never know with such collapse which we have seen tonight, India could even struggle chasing anything near 100
Yea anything can happen in cricket but still India is far ahead in this game .
South Africa need to score 250+ in 2nd innings to challenge Indian batting line up .
Chasing 100 runs brings different mindset as they will play attacking game .one cameos from any top order batter is enough for chase.
But chasing 150+ game can go either way .

Imagine a turning track in India that produces 23 wickets on day 1 of a test. Knives would be out.

BTW looking at the list of most wickets on day 1 of a test, all the 20+, are in Australia, South Africa and England.

But,
Fast pitch = sporting,
turning track = doctoring

Lot of guys saying ind is favorite here. Dont think so. Another 30 runs and lead is wiped out. If sa set a target of 150 - ind is cooked. Especially as ind has such a long tail ..last 6 batsmen are useless and expect only about 10 runs total from them..

23 wickets in a day. I eagerly await the ICC pitch rating for this.

India are marginally ahead.

If South Africa score 150 more, they can win this.

Exactly this.

Not having any hope on our batters barring Virat and to a certain extent Rahul. Rest all are walking wickets even on a normal test match pitch let alone this minefield against SA’s quality pace attack.

Chasing anything in excess of 50 will be difficult for our boys here.

SA needs to score 250+ to get a 150 run lead. That will be very hard. I think India are favorites to win 65/35 at the moment. It would require a herculean effort by SA batters to cross 250.
