Notable omissions Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman.

Which means they will be on the plane to Caribbean :yahoo

Inzi the revolutionary is actually very good at selecting the players for these emerging player camps or A-teams, but I don't know what befalls him when selecting the national side. Maybe he needs to put his foot down and not listen to captains and coaches.

I've never had a problem with his selections for non-national sides.

Like to see Atif Jabbar there. Good bunch of names there. Unfortunately, hardly anyone of them deserves to be in the team.

And whatever happend to that young spinner Karamat Ali?

Good list would have liked to see Saud Shakeel there but overall good list

something is wrong .. shadab khan ,shahziab hasan, ameer yamin, fakhar zaman ,usama mir is not in the list

i am not sure if that many player will be selected for w.i series

Imam should be in the test squad. He has work to do on strike rotation but he is solid and should be in the test squad. Inzi is ironically holding back his own nephew to avoid charges of nepotism- maybe Arsal Sheikhs or Junaids Zias dad could have had the same morals.

Too bad, Saud Shakil isn't there. Whatever happened to him. Last time I remember Inzi was praising him a lot.

Shahzaib Hasan didn't even get a chance in the PSL so I doubt Inzi would directly include him.

Shadab Khan is for sure in the side maybe in both ODI and T20

Fakhar Zaman might in both sides or maybe in T20 only.

Usama Mir might be in T20s only.

Yamin might be in ODIs only.

So all in all there will be only 2-3 new youngsters in each side which isn't a big number. :afridi

Rightfully not included as his performance is average at best in domestic

Few players there I wouldn't class as "emerging prospects" but that's an excellent squad.

People questioned whether Inzy would do justice to hard working players with good domestic records like Sadaf Hussain, Usman Salahuddin and Mohammad Abbas but there they are.

People say Inzy is a TTF lover but all the top emerging youngsters are there from Saad Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Hussain Talat, Ghulam Mudassar and Zafar Gohar.

Now for heaven's sake keep Kamran and Shehzad out of the senior squads.

But other than that, the revolution has BEGUN Syed1.

Pretty good selection.

Notable omissions from the list are saud shakeel, saif Badar, zeeshan Malik, Hasan mohsin. And little old still a future prospect Umar amin when u see the names of Asif Zakir, Abdur rehan muzammil and maqsood.

Emerging spinners excluded from the camp: Shadab Khan, Usama Mir, Mohammad Asghar.

With Imad, Nawaz, Hafeez and Malik already in the side, surely only 1 of the above will make it right?

What is the point of these camps if they keep selecting 40+ players +TTFs? At the end none of them will be selected. Better save money, time and false hope.

how did peshawar opener sahibzada farhan get their , he is very poor and he hasnt done anything

Hafeez's form in Australia and in the PSL was dire, whilst Nawaz fell out of favour in the Australia series. He was dropped after the first match. Will be surprised to see either name in the squad.

Shadab Khan will definitely make it to the Caribbean given Inzy's comments during the PSL. Asghar was called up to the Test squad in Australia but was used less than expected in the PSL. Though I think he'll be in the Test squad v WI as we'll likely play two spinners on those slow, low, turning Caribbean pitches.

Usama Mir is probably the least likely of the three, but Arthur worked with him during the PSL and may lobby for his selection.

Saif and Zeeshan are too inexperienced right now. They have hardly played any domestic. Saud should've been there.

Sohaib Maqsood is there. Where are Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali?

ifthikar was in the tour to england last year. MA seen him very close and is clear that he is not useful with the bat or ball .. just a 10+1 to the team and nothing

He scored 131*(115) in his last List A match.

Not selecting him for the ODI team would be flabbergasting.

Maqsood is 29 and in emerging camp.

So why can't Iftikhar be picked? He is only 26.

Surprised Saud isn't there. Especially after Inzi rated him highly aswell.

saw ur post in the flop XI of PSL thread...naming iftikar 5-6 times in the FLOP XI... wondering what happened to Umar Amin , not given a single game in PSL and now he is not even in the list... Is he injured?? why he didnt play any game, even the final where saad nasim played ahead of him, nobody asked about this to sarfraz

Most people haven't realized this yet, but this list is extremely depressing!

You may be wondering how.

Batsmen like Imam ul Haq can prove to be great assets in Tests.

However, where we're badly struggling are LOIs. There's Champions Trophy and World Cup coming up.

None of these players are good LOI batting prospects! Apart from Talat who is still raw, there's nobody who has shown potential to bat at the top level against quality pace bowlers.

List is full of bowlers. Some Test class batsmen. None is an LOI batsman.

Some overdue recognition for Sadaf.

These are the top 39 for the future Pakistan teams, Yet only 10 of them were playing in PSL.

Disappointing Saud Shakeel missed out, but a very strong list.

Sameen Gul had a fantastic season, so hoping this will help him develop even further.

Good point. I liked his selection for recent A tours with likes of Shadab and Saud in it.

But national team selection lacks vision for future :(

Sohaib Maqsood, Akbar ur Rehman, Bilal Asif, and Kashif Bhatti have no business here. The rest of the selection seem fine.

The rest of the names don't seem to be too bad.

cant see sadaf here as well, did he attend this emerging players camp or did he declined it like last time...would like to know....

Same with Asif Zakir.

I think he is in contention for WI maybe that's why. Has got the runs on the board and at a decent pace which is something we lack in the middle order, regretably not many young batsman other than Talat have done anything similar.

With tabish though there is little justification. We have plenty of up and coming young pacers we should focus on

Yes but he's 33.

Kamran (35), Hafeez (36), Zakir (33) all possibly coming into the team at once - way to prepare for 2019.

Why were Kamran Ghulam and Imran Butt ignored? They were both standout performers in the One Day Cup. They are also young enough to be considered as 'emerging players' and 'future prospects'. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Ghulam win the Best Alrounder Award. Surprising!
