First PCB put Gary Kirsten off the job, then came the turn of the Australian legend and a deft English county coach Jason Gillespie. But Aaqib ball was deemed as superior to both of them and eventually resulted in wiping out the presence of both esteemed foreign coaches from the Pakistan's cricket arena. But the big question is will all this drama help Pakistan. Or will Mohsin Naqvi's beloved Aaqib Javed would engender another flop surgery just like his chairman?

Another big query is will the Aaqib ball deliver the desirable results for Pakistan or would just be an equivalent of Gambhir ball for the Pakistan fans?

Same people thought Aaqib is some Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardialo but he turned out to be Ole Solskjeer

I do not dislike this team but it's just not good enough for this time & age & lacks that extra topping of brilliance that's necessary at this level.

Out of 11, almost 8 players make up the team on merit & 1 can be debated & all 9 of these are decent on their day but the bad bit is that the 2 undeserving players are just terrible and drag the whole ship down.

The added non-stop constant outside noise to win also ensures that every person is always under pressure & we've a history of doing badly under duress. Babar too has been on a downfall for such a long time now that the plan to build a batting team around him has failed & changing this plan now requires too much work which won't be easy to do.

You don't expect Pak to be close to table topping anything, numbers 5 - 7 are where they are competing & if they manage to cling on to number 5 rank, I'd be ok with that, not happy or content, just ok. With Windies staging a mini resurgence, Bangla & Afghanistan on the rise, & NZ always being good, being number 5 is not an easy feat. The top 4 are all loaded & simply outgun us in all departments, so winning consistently against them is not something that we can accomplish.

We are the second most followed cricket team in the world and with our expat/overseas community now being super strong wherever cricket is played barring Windies, we should aim higher but we simply don't have the system, intellect, & cricketing ability to do better.

Rank turners in Pak to eke out wins & a few wins overseas will keep the fanbase connected & the dollars from ICC coming, for now this should be the goal & if Aqib can do this, more power to him. We are still an entertaining team, even our losses are fun, & that's a bonus.

Have to consider we are under construction. Building a successful sports team takes time.

We can measure progress and since the England series I can see things are moving forward in the right direction. Just need to find more world class players but atleast now there is a direction.

I have a feeling within 2 years we will discover the next Imran Khan, a regen is long overdue.

We can analyse until 2200 but I am just sick of Rizwan opening 24/7 and waste the PP. This joker made Saim bat 1 down.

Last 2-3 months have shown one thing. Pakistan are vulnerable on flat pitches.

They need bowling-friendly pitches to do well (as we saw against England and in Australia).

The bowling is halwa we don't have Any top class bowler and that's the problem so can't blame aqib.

I think deep down Gillespie saw the fast bowling or lack of abilities and talent and bailed out

That is because bowling pitches hide the batsmen deficiencies.

Batsmen like Babar and Rizwan hope that every pitch is a 150 in T20I or 250 in ODI so they can play at their own pace and score their own stat boosting knocks.

They know the moment the pitch demands a 200 or a 320 plus, they will be exposed.

People started doing bhangra over a test series win on those rank-turners. But Aaqib selected a worst T20 squad ever so far. Senseless decisions and literally there is no middle order in the team.
Lol made rank turners to defeat an English side that play spin even worse than street cricketers.

Rain saved them from whitewash today.

Some interesting throw back statements by Aqib Javed in an interview to PakPassion in 2021:

Aaqib Javed "Imad Wasim should have been the captain of our white-ball teams. He has been playing for the last seven or eight years and is among the top bowlers in the world in these formats"

"We need passionate and aggressive leaders in our team rather than relying on prayers to win matches. Nobody used to tell us before every ball how to bowl or what to bowl. We simply can’t enjoy cricket with the current slave attitude"

“I’m so happy Saim is failing as an opener” 🤡 🤡
