Damien Martyn played an irresponsible shot against South Africa in 1993 which allowed South Africa to win.

Abdullah Shafiq played the most irresponsible reckless shot, totally devoid of match awareness and situation, his dismissal opened the floodgates. Rizwan was well set at the other end.

These harsh lessons are absolutely necessary. We have Huraira sitting on the bench. Why should Abdullah Shafiq get away with playing such a reckless shot which cost Pakistan the match?

Dropped and replaced by who?

We have no talent. Look at the Shaheens getting their behinds handed to them by everyone and their dog.

Our players don’t have skill and they don’t have any motivation to play for the country anymore.

They are happy playing the PSL, and that’s what they consider the pinnacle of their careers. Our players will disintegrate faster than the West Indies players, because of the lack of professionalism.

Unfortunately that's as far as most fans can think.

If a player doesn't perform and the team loses. Drop him.

I repeat, Abdullah Shafiq needs to be given the same treatment that Damien Martyn got in 1993-94. You cannot get away with playing such an irresponsible shot at a crucial juncture and showing complete lack of game awareness

from the day 1 i believe that Abdullah Shafique is a overhyped player specially in Test cricket... we always talk about his technique but are we going to put "achaar" of it when he cant score on crucial moments for pakistan.

India dropped Kapil dev and Sandeep Patil in 1984-85 for irresponsible shots that led to India's Test defeat. That was the only test Kapil missed in his entire career.

I strongly believe that it is time classy Umer Amin is recalled into the national team

Who else actually scored do remind me. Saud gets stumped on the flattest pitch..saim plays absolutely nonsense waft..all our batters wafted in first innings and got away with it. Agha the mighty did so well didnt he and lets not forget our Captain with an average of 20 odd which must have gone down even more

We've lost his prime... so it's better to give any youngster a chance, like Hurraira.
What is “prime”? Some Pakpassion posters keep cycling through youngsters. Hurraira is the new upcoming failure.
Hurraira should be with Shaheens and S.Farhan, who has toiled for years should be with the team.
Abid Ali man of series against the same Bangladesh in Bangladesh is the other guy Pakistan should be desperate to rehabilitate. Test series, with the lowly skill dev of Pakistan, should be given to 28+ only in Pakistan. Let the Saims, Abdullah, and Hurraira’s toil for 6 seasons minimum so they can compensate for lack of skill dev

Replace by Huraira , and drop Babar also, what has he done in test in last 2 years . And what about the shot the " new bradman " Saud played in 2nd inning . Agha is also not an all rounder, just another mediocre batter.

Damien martyn was dropped due to lack of form and waugh simply being better at the time, not because of the rubbish shot.

What people don't understand is that, Australia operates under a system of playing your best, That means if you aren't at your best, then someone better replaces you. This forces them to keep improving and stay on top of their game.

They take the mantra of "Life is a race, if we don't run fast, someone will run ahead"

Martyn was recalled after his form improved and he was playing better them waugh. Travid Head is a similar case, a guy who was dropped by finch for being rubbish and someone who has to constantly improve day by day because he knows the day a better left handed opener emerges, he's cooked, so he's gotta be the best.

That mantra does not apply to pakistani cricketers. In pakistan their is no such system, hence no motivation to improve. The only motivation they have is trying to lick the boots of a nepo baby and some higher up to permanently maintain their position. That's where their priorities lie. Abrar is > Any spinner in pakistan but even Usama mir will get a go ahead of abrar because abrar isn't licking any boots
