Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 2 wickets in the 2nd ODI

Bangladesh are 1 up in the series against Afghanistan, Bangladesh escaped narrowly, Afghanistan messed up in their chase big time, thanks to :shakib .

Good luck to both teams, want an exciting match like last game.

I agree, but Soumya was under so much pressure, I would pick Soumya anyday, he is kind of batsman, if he gest going, will through out opponent like flash.

Hey man you fooled me, Cricinfo is stating that Imrul has been dropped and Mosaddek is in the side. Our management is not as dumb as I thought, but then again Shafiul is in the squad :facepalm:

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field first. Good decision, there is a chance of a rain, so if the total is reduced Afghanistan might go for the kill, they have 11 Afridi's so I am a little scared.

I am just glad that Imrul is not in the team. Isam from cricinfo must be hiding his face now :yk In the cricinfo preview he put Imrul Kayes in the spotlight haha I don't think even Imrul will ever put himself in the spotlight
 
Afghan missed the rare opportunity to beat Bangladesh. Now Bangladesh will come hard to beat them comfortably

.....Sorry to our Bangladeshi brothers, but as Pakistan fight, scratch and claw to qualify for the 2019 World Cup we really need everything to go our way. Bangladesh and/or West Indies dropping a couple of ranking points could really help our cause :(

Probably continue the match the next day, I think Sabbir should bat at one down. He is being wasted batting so low in the order

They use him at 3 in T20, but probably more concerned with the batting depth. I would have played him at 3 & Mahmood at 4.
 
Batting at 4 is suitable for Riyadh, he averages 74.12 with a strike rate of 80, at 3 he averages 22

Not that majority of BD posters cover themselves with any glory or come across too gracious.....

Opposite - I can name couple, but most of the BD posters here are much mature & down to earth. One thing is, you have to understand what is leg pulling & what is troll. After that, check how many BD posters go over board without instigation. BD posters also has the right to celebrate teams win - after Kanpur or Sharjah, Indian or PAK posters won't like to hear what happened in WC T20 or WC 2015, let alone WC 2007 ....
 
Has Sabbir been moved down the order i remember in T20 he used to come ahead or am i mistaken?

They are trying to make him the finisher, which I think should have been opposite - Mahmood & Mushi should have been at 6/7; because now 2 younger players are slotted at 6 & 7, which is not the wise decision.

Sabbir Nasir aren't good enough to bat for our top order. Riad, Mushy and Shakib are capable and have the experience.

Sabbir yet hasnt shown his potential in this format

We have to see it other way - if now between Tamim, Mushi, Mahmood & Sakib, one of the two is not groomed in top order, at one point we'll get stuck like PAK team. Sabbir is used at 3 in T20, could have been persisted with there. Mosaddek actually bats at 5/6, so for the time his order is OK. But, soon, we have to bring a boy of 20, averaging 80 in FC & 50 in List A has to come at 4.
 
This free hit rule is the worst in cricket. This has reduced the average pace of fast bowlers in LO cricket by at least 5KM.
 
Rahmat looks to be a fantastic cricketer, should be called to play List A cricket in Dhaka League.

Yeah he has a good temperament, he played shakib quite well in the last game. Seems like he can spin the ball too. I am jelly :odoyo

Totally wrong attitude!!!! PCB deserve to miss the wold cup 2019 by keep recycling same old TTFs for last 10+ years in the name of experience and destroying promising young players' career. How on earth players like Afridi, Hafeez, Azhar still playing for main team?

Opposite- I can name 3 mature BD posters and the rest are trolls or if not, then just a bit denigrating towards the others. Maybe the eyes see what they wish to- for both of us.

I understand what banter is MMHS, and dont mix up between trolling and banter mate

Sure we wouldnt like to hear what happened in 2007, but would BD like to hear 2015 now? that is banter.

Calling Dada a mujhra dancer is trolling, or Indians cheats because of Taskin?

You are right. In T20s Sabbir bats at 3 and he was doing well at that position. But you can't keep Mahmudullah or Mushfiqur below him.It's a sweet problem for Bangladesh :mc

Thanks, Madhmuddllah is more of a finisher according to me irrespective of him bottling in the championship.
 
Afghanistan will loose this match by big margin. Bangladesh will not miss so many catches also their bowlers will not give them so many loose balls.
 
Nabi seems to trouble Bangla batters a lot,has brought down the rate.
 
Probably have a bias "against" Mushi but he seems to be doing well,annoying cricketer personally for me.

100 comes up good brisk pace and setting up nicely for last 10

Some naughty boys are there, they'll get mature with time. Others are mostly reactive. Taskin one was a bit emotional touchi, but you have to compare that with posts when Ajmal was called .....

Dada is the most popular Indian in Bangladesh - I guess boys got a bit excited. Also, his program Dadagiri is viewed by most BD cricket lovers.

What BD is now, is the players credit, what was past is history- take it that way, most of the BD naughty boys won't get the chance ....

Things are not looking good - 1, 2, 3 got out for 20, 20 & 25.

May be Afghans are too inexperienced to cash on that, but a better side would have choked us for 220 today. Mahmood should be sent to below.
 
With dew, it might change, but as of now, definitely not the 280 wicket that they are saying. May be, I'll be more than happy with last match's score.

Consistency is a big issue with Bangladeshi players except Shakib,sadly they don't get to play many ODI's which could be the case but i guess Shakib playing leagues around keeps him in form.

Actually, there are enough domestic matches around, but yes lack of Internationals does hurt the consistency. However, I think, it's more of Afghans playing really well, than any thing else. The leggis are bowling beautifully.
 
Must target 240-ish, it's not a 280 wicket by any means. Targeting 280, will result 210.

Yup but Bangladesh seems not to have learned much compared to their first match, taking Afghans lightly anyhow 20 overs still remaining anything can happen.
 
135, after 30 is not bad for the wicket, but at least 1 more wicket down.

Hahaha Ok, yea, because in the past so many times we have seen the PCB get their act together after the team has performed poorly or gone through a bad patch :inzi

I have absolutely no doubt that if Pakistan miss on the 2019 WC qualification, the PCB will have a mass over hall, nepotism and sifarsih will be eradicated, corruption will be gone from Pakistani cricket as the cricket board is run by a group of highly professional and intellectual group of people. We will ofcourse also see all the youngsta beauties revive Pakistani cricket as we rise to the top of the pecking order once again and become the destructive cricket team we once were in the 90's.

Besides, the PCB deserves to miss the World Cup but the WICB certainly deserves to be there, because they handle their cricketing affairs in much fairer and professional manner......
