This, he should play like this, if he gets out fair enough, Malinga ends up bowling a wide next ball.

His strength is his hitting not his defensive side, if he gets bogged down, he will get out

In other words he is Asia's answer to Paul Stirling lol

What is the target have not watched this gaem still thinking about yesterday's thriller :)

:out

Pretty dumb from Shehzad. Afghanistan need a partnership! My prediction came true though....

Out does not matter, too much, he plays that way. 254 is a big total for them anyways, better go out and make a game of it as opposed to making a deathly 150 off 50. Only way they will be successful chasing this is taking risks just like Shinwari did when he came onto bat the last day

Do you not think he should be moved down the order?? Shehzad seems to be the perfect player to come on at the powerplay overs and smash a quick 50 or so. Im no expert on this Afghanistan team but would it not be better to have Stanikzai open instead of Shehzad , get off to a slow and steady start e.g 50 off 13 overs or so and then build from there with Shehzad and Naib upping the RR when required??

I think he should be a late order hitter when the ball is dead flat, I think they should deploy those thoughts for both Sadiq and Shahzad to be honest, fantastic hitters of the ball but, can be poor mentally against a swinging ball (basically subcontinental openers)

Nope because he plays only one way, when it comes off it is game over for the opposition

Its still 50 overs. He is a opener not a tailender. This attitude will not help them.
beating bangla boys means nothing.
afghan team needs to learn how to play proper innings.

Who is Afghanistan's batting coach?

I think no batting coach at the moment. Their board CEO was in Pakistan last month and mentioned in a few TV programs they are thinking about getting a batting coach.

These 2 are doing well. Should deal it with 1s and 2s for now, no need to slog.

One of Afghanistans weaknesses IMO. They do not rotate the strike effectively and they get involved in a lot of run outs.

Agreed, they either they hit hard towards the boundary or straight to the fielder. I think they don't take much singles when the fielders are inside the circle.

These 2 must make it big, looks settled and will be big mistake to throw away from this position.

Why do Afghanistan constantly try to hit boundaries. Play the singles and then attack in the later overs.

They are an excellent bowling side Afghanistan but their batting leaves a lot to be desired

Afghans imploding here SL will get bonus point now

Afghanistan won't be a top team if they keep gifting their wickets like this.

Give them a break, brother. This is one of their first real international tournament with the big boys. They will learn from experience, In Sha Allah.

Another one gone. There is heavy dew now in ground but they already gifted many wickets before utilizing this dew factor

Why couldn't the dew have come this quick yesterday...could have saved a lot of heart attacks lol
