Why is this idiot Mo Akram getting on Maliks case? Get real it is 1 T20 game! If we lose, we lose so what. Typical Pakistani reaction!

I dont think Mcgrath and Wasim could have done much in this situation where are batters have just not put enough runs on the board. Jayasuriya has done this to Wasim as well. The situation demanded the Pakistani fast bowlers to go out for wickets and unfortunately our aggressive tactics worked against us today.
 
Not much Malik can do if his bowlers have completely lost the plot. Short and on both sides of the wicket, very in disciplined bowling so far

Lee is not accurate as you claim. He is a very close to accurate, but his line ' n ' length is very poor. Neither he has some control.
 
Oh well, i guess today is Sri lanka's day ,nothing been right for pakistani bowlers and everything going to plan for the lankans. Win or lose at the least we get to watch some cricket and the chance to see pakistan play.

Oh please, stop with blid support for ur superstar and think about how Pak cricket has been affected by excess baggage (now Literarily) of akhter.

malik bowled 4 balls on the leg side...literally a foot outside the leg stump...WHAT IS THAT ABOUT - i mean don't these guys practice in the nets
 
Why are we having a stupid argument about the merits of Akthars bowling on the basis of this innings so far? It is our batsmen who let us down not the bowlers.

Jayasuriya can murder anyone on his day. He has been doing it consistently since the 1996 WC.

Just get over it!

I wont blame the bowling too much. We had to go for the kill given the total we had on board. There was nothing wrong with the pitch. There was no way we could create any pressure on the Sri Lankans with the total we had. Blame the batters, especially the fact we played too many dot balls and did not take full advantage of the slower deliveries dished out to us.

Now Waqar tells us that 130 would never be enough ! This is after he had been telling us that this pitch is difficult to bat on !

Bowling short and wide (both sides of the wicket) is not the way of putting pressure on a batsman like Jayasuriya

Nice excuse. It was pathetic and immaturity bowling from our bowlers. We should admit the defeat sometimes. It's part of game. Our bowlers have performed miserable. Just admit it. Nothing is wrong with that. Only Tanvir was looking positive to get wicket of Jayasurya :|

It's difficult pitch to play. But our bowlers didn't bowl in right areas. Waqar has changed the topic since he too wasn't impressed with Pakistani bowling attack. What can be done now?

A wicket but a bit late in the day. Less than run a ball needed they can play the Test Cricket type batting Misbah exhibited, Salman was striving for and Younis Khan would have executed if he was allowed to.
 
The spinners could still lead us to victory. Alams bowling though could be crucial.
 
Malik better not give up. Fight till the last delivery no matter even if we are about to lose. Just want to see fair fight from you. Oye Malik !
 
Decent over by Malik. If these two can somehow get the RR above 6.5 RPO and get rid of Jayasuriya, we may be in with a shout. Mighty task though
 
Sorry but We should have seen after Akhtars expensive over that we needed spinners in asap - yet we persisted with providing the pace that they needed.

And people say afridi isn't an asset. Forget the wicket he took, just see the change in energy when hes bowling, everyone looked down and out before he came on.

Oh Relaaax ! The blame goes on both, batmen and bowlers expect spinners who are more suited to the pitch as the pitch suggest !

Yeah but in the last game Akhtar had Jayasuriya caught on the pull and he felt strongly he could get him out again with the same tactics. Unfortunately Akhtar conceeded 12 runs in 2 deliveries. Gamble backfired, but Akhtar had to try to get a wicket.
 
Jayawardena and Jayasuriya can just block out Malik and Afridi and win with 5 overs to spare.

We need to get rid of the quartet of Jayasuriya, Jayawardene, Dilshan and Kapugedera to have any chance of winning this match
