Alastair Cook has now become the most successful left-handed batsman in Test cricket history. He has completed his Test career scoring 12,472 runs moving past Kumar Sangakkara.

Has to be seen last 2 to 3 years he has veen very very average.

But overall ATG Eng bat and a very good opening batsman to average over 45 is some achievement.

His time however was up. Great call to retire.

Yes I think it's a good decision for him to retire but it will be difficult for England to replace him.
