So true. I wouldn't even bother playing any more bowlers, just fill the team with batsmen. Zaheer alone can carry out the bowling, bowling from both ends. The opposition doesn't stand a chance.
 
Pickin Zaheer Khan in asia 11 shows that asia has no talent. this is like picking ronaldo for england it just doesn't match, there are thousands of better bowlers than Zaheer in Pakistan alone forget the world.

I omitted Tendulkar, because I would never be 100% certain if he would, each and every time play for the team's cause and not for himself.

Give me a Dravid or Sehwag any day of the week over Tendulkar.

(i) People excluding Tendulkar, he is the best Asian batsman ever and 2nd best batsman in the history of the game - DEAL WITH IT !!!

(ii) People including Zaheer Khan, no he is not better than Shoaib Akhtar, Fazal Mahmoom, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Mohammad Asif, Imran Khan and even Chaminda Vaas. Bias aside, let Pakistanis handle the fast bowling

(iii) People including Kumble, no reasons needed, just don't rate him as a match winner, and you got to have a match winning spinner in your All time 11
 
Some of the tricky decisions that I had to face

(i) Hanif or Gavaskar - had to go for Gavaskar by a whisker, haven't seen both bat so judging purely from stats and reviews

(ii) Dravid or Inzi - had to go for Inzi, possibly the biggest match winner (albeit not the best batsman) in the side, can't look past him. Sorry Dravid. Again, misses out by a whisker

(iii) Wicket Keeper - Sanagakkara, safe with gloves, future legend with the bat, no looking past him as well

Yes. good team.. I can't imagine a team without Miandad. Inzy could be replaced by De Silva or Laxman. Shoaib could be replaced by Kumble... Genuine match winner...

Zaheer Khan could be there instead of always unfit Shoaib..

All those who are saying Gul and co. are better then Zaheer khan... look at the current rankings. That too without any support at the other end.. Bowlers above him in the list are Steyn, Morkel, Swann and Anderson... So we know that Rankings don't lie. According to current form He is definitely better then gul and co.

It wasn't an analysis Einstein, it was my opinion, which, last time I checked I was entitled to. I didn't think anyone needed intelligence to work that one out, but truth is stranger than fiction I guess.
 
Only Bradman and Richards can realistically be considered ahead of Tendulkar since the beginning of test cricket, and some would even disagree with that statement. First name on an Asian XI teamsheet.
 
I like that Bowling/Allrounder 11 mentioned before.

That would be fun to watch.

zAHEER IS A GOOD BOWLER BUT HE IS NOT AN ALL TIME GREAT BY ANY STRETCH OF IMAGINATION ...
 
Yup, I can safely say Asia's top 7-8 fast bowlers are all Pakistanis, easily, if not more

Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, Shoaib Akhtar, Fazal Mahmood, Sararaz Nawaz are all up there and these are the indisputable ones
Then you can go on and argue that Asif also deserves to be in Asia all time XI ahead of Zaheer Khan.

Theres no need to undermine Tendulkar because of his nationality.

Let me tell you one thing, if Sachin was Pakistani, PPers here would be insisting he was better than Bradman.

FACT: Tendulkar is at least, at the very least, the 3rd, if not 2nd (which is my opinion) best cricketer of all time.
