We toured them in December 2002/January 2003.

We were knocked out of the World Cup 2003 in embarrassing fashion.

We toured them in January/February 2007

We were knocked out of the World Cup 2007 in embarrassing fashion.

We toured them in January/February 2013

We were knocked out of the Champions Trophy 2013 in embarrassing fashion.

We are touring them now December 2018/January 2019.

Don't put your hopes up on Pakistan doing well in this years World Cup.

We probably won't even make the semis, we probably would have been knocked out earlier if it was multiple groups

Will probably have a disastrous World Cup campaign if history is anything to go by.

Can I also mention one interesting fact based on your strange artificial self created fact.

Whenever South africa beats pakistan in test series at home soil, they always end up choking in next icc tournament.
2003/2007/2013

03, cudnt even make semiz on home soil
07 thrashed by Aussies
2013 beaten by england

No, that doesn't make any sense.

Now you're just picking and choosing.

yes 1997/98. Azhar Mahmood played an ATG innings of 132 at Durban and 136 at Jo'burg. How Pakistan would be ready to give an arm and leg for someone to stand up like that, today!

Bhai, anyone would give a arm n a leg for that. Azhar Mahmood just made the whole world notice but the team was so full of talent that he was never guaranteed a spot.....

I think the common denominator is that we had poor teams that deserved those humiliations barring perhaps the 2007 team but even they were heavily reliant on the middle order.

That 2003 SAF series was absolutely awful. We were swatted aside like minnows even with Younis, Yousuf, Inzamam, Saqlain and Waqar all playing.

The only redeeming feature was Taufeeq "Toffee" Umar established his reputation as the Saffer Slayer with his scores in the 2nd Test.

True, those were just brilliant performances. Shoaib Akhtar was sensational in the Durban game. His third test, took a five-fer and you knew a star had arrived. Loved to see that Pakistani team!
