We all know Mohammad Amir was playing non stop International cricket since his comeback in 2016 and was only given a break last year in September when he was going through a lean wicket taking form only in ODIs. Before that he was fatigued, was low in confidence and was getting minimal swing yet his pace was high back then being between 140-148 Kph.
After he returned to domestic cricket and worked on his bowling with his former club coach, he is getting more swing comparatively but pace has reduced by 5 Kph atleast, yet this too could be international to avail greater swing or because of that chickenpox he had, as he still can crank it up which was shown against England where he bowled few deliveries between 142-145 Kph.
I know his stats were good to decent in T20Is ever since he returned in 2016 and in Tests in last 2.5 years when fielders started taking catches of his bowling, but in ODIs he had a dip in form.
Also, the sample size is low after his return from last year but what would you make of these numbers and changes to his bowling?
Tests: 3 Matches 12 Wickets Average 23.5 Eco 2.67 Best 4-62
ODIs: 7 Matches 12 Wickets Average 23.6 Eco 4.98 Best 5-30
T20Is: 1 Match 3 Wickets Average 9.0 Eco 6.50 Best 3-27
PSL: 9 Matches 13 Wickets Average 19.7 Eco 7.4 Best 4-25
He is also the highest wicket taker for Pakistan across all formats since then with his combined figures being:
11 Matches 27 Wickets Average 19.80
