Andries Gous is a South African-born cricketer who now represents the United States on the international stage. Born on November 24, 1993, in Bloemfontein, Gous first made his mark in domestic cricket playing for Free State and the Knights. He gained attention for his performances in the Africa T20 Cup, especially in 2018, where he finished among the top scorers with a string of explosive innings and a cool head under pressure.

After moving to the United States, Gous continued his cricket journey and quickly established himself in the growing American cricket scene. He was picked up by the Washington Freedom for Major League Cricket (MLC), showcasing his adaptability and experience in franchise cricket. His powerful batting and solid wicketkeeping skills made him a natural fit for the national setup, and he soon earned a place in the USA’s international squad.

Gous is known for his clean hitting, sharp game awareness, and ability to anchor or accelerate the innings as needed. Whether it’s behind the stumps or in the middle with the bat, he brings a level of calm and class that’s been vital for the USA team.
