I watched the above press conference recently, a fight is due between Warrington and Kid Galahad; I quite like Warrington and respect him as a fighter being a fan but the support he attracts is similar to the early stages of Carl Froch's career where most of his fans were EDL members.

Likewise, Warrington tends to attract Leeds United FC fans and these hooligans are the most degenerate, moronic and ignorant people I have ever seen in my entire life. I have given scousers a bit of stick in the past but honestly, Leeds fans are on another level when it comes to being narrow minded, bigoted and really thick.

Galahad has had his fair share of issues but he didn't deserve that, am not a fan of Ingle but loved how he stuck up for him. I have read reports Galahad also recieved racist abuse due to his skin colour and religious beliefs from the same bunch, hardly surprising; I remember looking up the uni and considering attending it given it was fairly reputable for various courses and also had MCC level facilities when it came to the cricket but on many forums students were complaining about being mugged constantly etc and it most likely would have been Leeds United FC fans

KingKhanWC Red Devil That was just pathetic on so many levels!

Every other month I read Leeds fans being arrested for racial abuse, violence, drunken behaviour. Yes one of the worst fans in the world.
James is a Leeds fan but not like the rest ....im sure :)

Leeds is a heavily deprived city ... It's grown exponentially over past two decades at expense of other local cities, notably Bradford.

Sheffield United handed it leeds other week, isA Kid does the same.

Don't wana talk about hooligans, but Leeds United is the best football team in the World! For me it has been since 1987!

Donal Cozzie is a fan as well I think :))

And you never know both Donal and James could be just like them :yk3 they do have their moments, maybe the football club brings out the worst in people :yk

Hmm, think they're up there with Chelsea and Millwall.

Sorry but this is a disgusting thread. Tarring an entire footballing fanbase, one of the largest in England, due to some boxing promos?

As an avid Leeds fan I am glad to report that I rarely ever hear of racism, homophobia or abuse among the fanbase and I am an avid follower. Obviously an element exists, every club has it, but the comparisons to Millwall and Chelsea are ridiculous. Those clubs have weekly problems, Leeds do not.

Genuinely a horrible thread. Serves no purpose other than to slander and insult people for the actions of a tiny minority. Are all Birmingham fans **** over the Grealish attack?

I can take banter but this aint it. All the people supporting this take a long hard look at yourselves. Particularly laughable considering some people fly off the handle rightfully over the generalisation of Muslims, but find this absolutely fine.

Dont tag me in this filth.

You categorically support the filth though and it was your first thought to defend them so that doesn't really impress me as far as your standing is concerned unfortunately, there may be a tiny minority which are civil but Leeds United FC fans are for the most part absolutely pathetic human beings and it is also reflected by the reputation the city has to be honest, don't take it personally but it's just the truth mate. I don't expect Irish people to have an issue with this anyway considering how all of this type of behaviour isn't taboo for them :yk3 we are very well aware how you feel about this sort of thing...

I’ve not experienced any form of racism and I’ve go to games home and away, if anything the Asian fan base has grown this year!

Yes sometimes some fans go overboard with the chants but it’s the same with every fanbase, even then it’s drowned out by MOT, PJ’s magic hat and my favourite atm is the Klich song...

No thread is very valid. All you need to do is web search Leeds fans, violence, racism.

When did you last visit Elland Road?

And Chelsea is nothing like it was 20 years ago. They are a very relaxed crowd now.

I think rep takes into account all factors including travelling where a lot of the violence can occur. It's not too long ago when Chelsea fans prevented a black man from getting on a Paris metro.

There is hooliganism to some extent in most English league clubs but Chelsea are nothing like they were. In the 80's Chelsea hooligans used to be very very violent, using methods such as the 'Chelsea smile' or better known as the Glasgow smile which scared people for life. Now the PL esp has become very strict on such people, most are banned from home and away matches. Chelsea fans dont even get into brawls anymore, it's other clubs such as Leeds, Millwall who are involved reguarly.

What utter nonsense. When was the last time Leeds made massive headlines for negative fan behaviour? The Kirkland incident in 2013, absolutely, fine, before that?

What about Chelsea, widespread racism allegations, anti semitism, paris racist incidents on the tram, abusing Sterling about three months ago list goes on.

I'm not here to pretend Leeds are flawless. But the club has moved on significantly in recent decades and the nonsense you're spouting about Leeds being regularly involved in brawling is flat out incorrect and is merely you swallowing hook line and sinker the media narrative of "dirty leeds ****" which is parrotted about constantly.

Point me to these "regular" brawls.

Kirkland punch, United game in the Carling Cup around 2013 are the last incidents I can recall of any significant fan misbehaviour. And I do not count 1-2 drunken morons as counting because every single club has that, its a larger group which signifies planning and acceptance. Find me "regular" incidence of this and I'll eat my hat.

Unbelievable thread honestly. 33,000 people at Elland Road weekly, hundreds of thousands of passionate fans globally who have endured some real tough times and continued to support in numbers the envy of many many sides, only to get labelled all as **** by clueless keyboard fans who would know as much as Leeds fans as they do about quantum physics.

Engage in handy wee stereotyping all night long if ye wish, I aint partaking in it. Any self respecting moderators would bin this thread.

Leeds-violent-crime-rate-comparison-map.png

The crime rate in Leeds is 145% of the national average!

Detailed statistics can be found on the police website:

https://www.police.uk/west-yorkshire/LDT_CITY/crime/stats/

These numbers support the nature of the types of fans who support Leeds United FC, I didn't see too much off it when I followed the presser for Selby v Warrington but watching the most recent one of how the people behave, Leeds statistics and reports from students who have been victims of mugging it is clear there is a big problem among those who support Leeds, I would like to apologise to scousers they are a lot more well behaved compared to this lot, just pure filth this lot

How can you defend this:

Comparison of crime types in this area between February 2018 and January 2019:

https://www.police.uk/west-yorkshire/LDT_CITY/crime/stats/

The city has one of the worst percentages of crimes in the entire country when it comes to violence and sexual offences.

I never saw you as an Irish or Leeds stereotype to be fair so am surprised by how defensive you have become, these are just facts mate and the mentality of the supporters is reflected by the wide spread problems in the city unfortunately

I did advise to use a search engine but since you have asked. Here you go.

You mentioned 2013?

Leeds United supporters were the subject of more football-related arrests than those of any other club in English football’s professional leagues last season.

Leeds United Fans Voted The Angriest In English Football

http://www.sportbible.com/football/...ted-the-angriest-in-english-football-20190116

There are too many racist incidents to list.

But here is something no other club has done. One supporter imitating a pedo and cheered by dozens of Leeds fans.

Leeds United fan dressed as Jimmy Savile

I think you live in Ireland and therefore hardly ever attend fixtures home or away.

Because every crime committed in Leeds is by a Leeds fan and is somehow related to Leeds United?

Look you're clearly on a wind up, fair enough, fun ends now though as I aint buying anymore, left all the evidence needed to render obsolete the thread in my previous post.

2015 - Fair enough. Tad outdated.

Your 2nd link is absolutely laughable btw. So other fans voting Leeds as the angriest is scientific fact? The freakin sportsbible no less? Same crowd who run Unilad? Thats your source!!! Jesus Christ.

Last one is absolutely inexcusable btw.

Also, believe it or not, I have attended games at Elland Road and dare I say interact a hell of a lot more with Leeds fan and follow Leeds far more than you, so dare I say I'm entitled to claim I have far more of an idea of whats going on than you do.

Who does OP support? Aston Villa :))

Cheerio lads. Evidence speaks for itself.

Look at these crime statistics mate on the complete uni website itself I wasn't making it up:

https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/crime-rates-in-university-cities-and-towns/

Leeds fine themselves in the top 4 when it comes to overall crime rate measured by robbery, burglary and violence / sexual offences ; these statistics give a much better picture of the mentality of Leeds United FC fans and their extreme hooliganism

Imagine moving away from home to make something of your life and study at the higher level but all your dreams are cut short when you are violently attacked by a Leeds United FC fan

Too many racist incidents to list. Lol, convenient excuse. There was 1 last month btw, Couldnt find many others after that, maybe that is why you neglected to list any? Obviously there are racists. what club doesnt? But youre acting like its some sizeable minority when that is simply not the case.

Leeds as a club have idolised the likes of Yeboah.Radebe,Hassellbaink,Deane the list is endless.

If youre saying there are racist Leeds fans of course youre right, what club doesnt. Dare I say every single club in the top four divisions of english football have had racist incidents in the past 12 months. Its a societal problem.

What I take issue with is your attempts at framing this as some form of sizeable minority which is complete tosh, or that Leeds United is somehow unique in the challenges it faces re fan behaviour.

Also why have KKWC and co ignored this first hand account as it goes against their nonsensical biases ;)))

Fair play to you mate anyway. Crucial 8 games to come, praying we can finally get back where we belong

You don't need to, you can defend these skumbags all you want but how can you remotely not have an issue with the behaviour of those fans ? just watch the presser for the fights vs Selby and Galahad; am a big Warrington fan btw so I have more reason then you to be biased about this but 90% of his support comes from Leeds United FC fans who are beyond pathetic. There are serious issues in the city which need to be resolved and they tend to get transferred to the fans now am not saying you are one of them 100% but a big portion of them are not the blokes you'd be happy to sit on the bus with on the way home during after light hours

Donal Cozzie am sure you are familiar of the student room, there is countless evidence of innocent people being violently attacked in Leeds if you want to ignore all the government numbers, such behaviour is typically associated with the hooliganism at the club; you've not done enough to sort this out internally when it comes to your image

Leeds players also have a terrible repuations, perhaps this encouraged their fans.

Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate beat up an Asian but a stupid jury only convicted Woodgate of assault!

He's a Leed fans so perhaps there is bias.

Over 10,000 people voted in the SPORTbible survey, voting Leeds at no.1 with the most angry fans. I guess they just dont like Leeds and have no idea .

Donal, are you from Leeds ?. I'm guessing you're White British but even Millwall like their black players .. Kaiser Chiefs named after Radebe's former club Leeds is a socially deprived city from which racism emanates

Leeds United fans by and large are sound nowadays, the club has moved on from its chequered past of hooliganism.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-47690607
shaz619 This was only last night.

It's absolutely crazy there, I find it strange how anyone could support the team even more when you're not even a local like Donal Cozzie but his views do seem to lean more towards the far right given how he was defending the racism of that hollywood Irishman not so long ago, this sort of stuff is not taboo for them so I guess that must be the appeal for local fans and those from Ireland in my opinion.

I don’t really care what these armchair fans think, if they actually went to watch some of the games they’d realise this kinda stuff happens everywhere!

Big 8 games, I’m at the point were watching the match is too stressful to enjoy. Next match I’m going to is Brentford away, if we are in the automatics after then I think we’ll be back..

lol. Prob been to more football matches than you've had chappatis. :inti

No point being upset by a common view.

Leeds will not get promoted automatically but possibly via play offs.

Hahaha maybe depends on how much older you are...

Common(sportsbible, ladsbile etc) view is that Pakistani’s are terrorist, yet we both know this is not true! It’s best to see things for yourself instead of basing it on opinions of a bunch of nobodies, next year IF we get promoted make Elland Road one of your away trips and I’m sure you’ll change your tune...

I don’t care how we get promoted as long as we do, don’t think I can handle the playoffs!

I've been watching live matches since I was 10, so never assume another poster is an armchair fan.

The followers do know of football and therfore it's a valid survey. You can reject it but to suggest it has no standing is wrong.

If you do come up, I will be at Anfield seeing LFC help you go back down :)

I don’t understand the hate, I want Liverpool to win the league because of how much it’ll wind up Man Utd fans. You’ve been my second team since Klopp tookover and I've managed to go to anfields a few times as my company have a box, last year we got to have Q&A session over with Ian Rush last year which was pretty cool.

Also your player of the year so far is originally from Leeds and is still a Leeds fan!

Don't think Leeds United's fan group is bad, I think they're quite a decent fanbase. As a Chelsea fan, I can assure you we idolise many black players such as Hasslebank, Drogba, Ramires, Desailly, Kante, Makelele etc yet you literally mentioned Chelsea fans implying they're much worse than Leeds fans. Going by your logic, this point makes no sense whatsoever.

In-terms of worst fan-base in world football, it's easily Zenit, their fan-base is so toxic and backwards the club is scared to sign black, Muslim, Asian or gay players out of fear for the safety of that player and fan backlash. In-terms of England, it's Millwall, they take pride in their violence and teaching their kids to say foul and disgusting abuse. I always make sure to avoid any games involving them.

I don't expect Chelsea fans to have such high standards when it comes to that :floyd :yk3

Leeds United & FA investigating as fan filmed allegedly using racist language and gestures

Leeds United and the Football Association are investigating after a fan was filmed allegedly using racist language and gestures towards QPR supporters on Tuesday.

A statement from the Championship club said it is "aware of a video circulating on social media".

Astonished Leeds have enough storage memory to save all these videos. :yk

Chelsea fans at it again, this time with abusing Salah.

You can't generalise a group of 10-15 idiots who still try to tie the club to minuscule right-wing and hooligan links from the 80s to the rest of us now who are generally reasonable and not racist whatsoever. These people aren't true Chelsea fans, it's like saying "Muslims at it again, (insert terrorist attack here)", really doesn't work and shows massive amounts of ignorance.

Thankfully the club took instant action and banned these fools from entering the stadium for the game, so essentially they took a trip to Prague for a game that they can't even go to.

Chelsea fans have their issues but I think Leeds fans are 10x worse then them, rat is the first thing that comes to mind.

fans arnt bad, just passionate.

The worst fans are part of an Israeli club. You can look it up yourselves.

:))) This is what you deserve Donal Cozzie , who is crying now? it's not Frank, it's all you Leeds FC fans and you deserve it, so arrogant, ignorant and just very poorly behaved over all. It gives me great pleasure to see you get KO'd by a club which is 10x more Honorable then you ever will be.

They got smashed to pieces infront of their entire fans and family's rofl the humiliation :))) KingKhanWC I thought Elland Road was meant to be a fortress? it is a fortress full of idiots that's for sure, back to the job centre lads :yk

Highlights:

Stuart Dallas stabs in from close range midway through the first half to put Leeds 1-0 up on the night and 2-0 ahead on aggregate

Jack Marriott capitalises on a defensive mix-up to equalise, and make it 2-1 overall, just before half-time
Mason Mount scores in the first minute of the second half to put Derby 2-1 ahead on the night - and level 2-2 on aggregate

Harry Wilson's 58th minute penalty means the Rams are 3-1 up on the night and ahead in the tie for the first time

Four minutes later Stuart Dallas pulls a goal back for Leeds, making it 3-3 overall

After Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi was sent off, Jack Marriott clips in his second of the night on 85 mins to put Derby 4-3 ahead on aggregate

Rams hold on to reach Wembley despite having Scott Malone dismissed in the closing stages

It is hilarious how Leeds were sitting so compatibly in the top 2 and it has come to this :))) big bunch of mentally weak chokers, I think the main issue is with their pysche, if they opened their hearts and showed respect to all peoples instead of resorting to abuse and discrimination I think the man upstairs would bless them, but this what you deserve and the city of Leeds in general which is basically one big dump

Derby become first team to lose first leg at home and reach Championship play-off final KingKhanWC LOL

What happened to that power point presentation and spy gate :))) the leeds tools legit thought they are intellectual saviours of the masses, now you find yourself on the canvas in the most humiliating scenes ever seen in the history of championship play off football

WC-Passion It was Terry last year and it's Lampard now :)) both former team mates will be up against each other, Terry is still involved with the Villa set up, but am happy for Derby they are a very likeable team and have been in the pit for too long, happy for them to

Poor Donnal, first no Ireland in the World Cup and now no Leeds in the Premier. :))

I wrote earlier they wouldn't get promoted automatically and at the time they were a good few points clear of the play offs.

Ironically imo their big issue which is related to their fans behaviour, indiscipline! It just had to be a Leeds player seeing a red card and sent off.

What happened to that power point presentation and spy gate :))) the leeds tools legit thought they are intellectual saviours of the masses, now you find yourself on the canvas in the most humiliating scenes ever seen in the history of championship play off football

Exactly! and these guys are so delusional, even those who come across as a bit sensible because I don't see Donal particularly as a troublesome fella but the support of Leeds is a very suspect flaw in my opinion. They thought it was a given the automatic promotion and they are so arrogant, they advocate their pathetic culture to and it's great to see them fall as you see not only are they sore winners but the biggest sore losers to, there's that saying about a bully isn't there? they can give a shot but can never take one on the button :yk2

Good to see this happen. Sorry Shaz, but Super Frank with Jody being promoted with Mount and Tomori being heroes for Derby would be the dream. Though I still feel Villa should beat them in the final, so it's more of dream than a prediction.

Leeds' Jordan Stevens has been banned from all football-related activity for six weeks for breaking Football Association betting rules, a punishment his club has called "disproportionate".

The midfielder, 19, admitted a charge of placing 59 bets last season, five on matches involving the Whites.

Stevens will be suspended until 10 October and has also been fined £1,200.

"We are hugely disappointed in the FA's choice of sanction," said Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear.

"To prevent a young footballer from taking part in any football activities at such a critical period of his career is a disproportionate punishment following a foolish mistake from a young player.

"We are particularly disappointed that the sanction was determined by two former professional footballers who we hoped would have had a better understanding of the impact of their decision."

Stevens, who was signed from Forest Green in February 2018, has made one first-team appearance since arriving at Elland Road.

While an independent commission said the £510.12 total staked was "modest" - with Stevens not playing in any of the Leeds game he bet on - they said he showed a "wilful disregard for the rules" by continuing to bet after an FA education presentation, at which the rules were discussed.

Two of Stevens' bets on Leeds - on both teams to score twice - were seen as the most serious, carrying a maximum "sporting sanction" of 12 months.

A witness statement from Rob Price, head of performance and medicine at the club, said Stevens had "struggled to integrate himself" at Leeds, with emphasis on his difficulties with boredom, homesickness and anxiety.

"We will support Jordan through this process, he is a young footballer who needs educating on the dangers of outside influences and how to conduct himself as a professional footballer," the club added.

"As a club we feel that banning a 19-year-old footballer from even participating in training or interacting with the club's staff is an excessive punishment."

Allthough I am a big Leeds Utd fan, he deserved this punishment. And lol at our Chief Executive bringing in his age. Aamir was only 17 (PS! I know that was a crime at another level). Amir lost 5 years and these guys are crying over 6 weeks lol

Football hate crime at matches in England and Wales rose by 47% last season

Incidents of hate crime at football matches in England and Wales rose by 47% last season, according to new Home Office figures.

In the 2018-19 season there were hate crime incidents - 79% of which related to race - at 193 matches, up from 131.

Manchester City's Raheem Sterling and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were among Premier League players targeted.

But football-related arrests dropped overall by 10% to 1,381 in 2018-19.

The Home Office report said the rise in hate crime is likely to be partially down to improvements in recording incidents at matches.

Anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out described the figures as "a serious concern".

The organisation added: "It's encouraging to see that more people are comfortable reporting discrimination and we are working hard to make this as easy as possible for all to do, but it is undeniable that we are experiencing a rise in hateful behaviour across the game and wider society.

"These figures should serve as a reminder for football - we must increase our efforts to send a clear message to any fan who discriminates at a match: you will be identified, arrested and face a football banning order."

Deputy Chief Constable Mark Roberts, from the National Police Chief's Council, said: "Hate crime is on the rise, and this reflects some of the high profile incidents reported over the past season.

"We are committed to working with the leagues and clubs to tackle these issues but that will take a sustained focus on security from all concerned."

Government data from the Home Office also showed:

 • Stoke (80) had the highest number of arrests, 62 of which were related to a single match - their Checkatrade Trophy trip to local rivals Port Vale in December 2018.
 • Leeds (49) and Aston Villa (42) had the next highest number of arrests.
 • The number of arrests for racist and indecent chanting fell from 15 in 2017-18 to 14 in 2018-19.
 • However, that is still twice the number of arrests - seven - for the same offence in 2016-17.
 • The most common types of offences were public disorder (38%) and violent disorder (19%).
 • Stoke supporters were issued the highest number of new banning orders during the 2018-19 season - 46.
 • Newcastle have the most banning orders overall at 71.

It is the seventh consecutive year reported incidents of discrimination within football have increased, and the 581 total reports of hate crime is more than double the figure from five years ago.

The 152 matches at which there was racist abuse was an increase of 51% on the previous year.

England star Sterling, 24, has spoken out on social media, suggesting newspapers' portrayal of black players fed prejudice and aggressive behaviour.

The Manchester City forward has been praised for being a role model and won last season's Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year award.

In a statement Stoke said: "The latest Home Office statistics do not make for pleasant reading, but to provide some context 62 of the 80 arrests were as a result of anti-social behaviour that occurred both during and after the Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Port Vale in December 2018.

"Of the other 18 arrests, only five of those were made at home fixtures at the bet365 Stadium where, working in partnership with the police and authorities, we are continuing to do everything we can to try and eradicate anti-social behaviour from football."

So Leeds right up there for arrests last season, only usurped by Stoke.
