Are you a practicing Muslim?

Yes. It entails looking after Mum, praying and reading the Qur'an (and Bible) every morning. Trying to rectify mistakes, atone for sins and express love for Allah SwT with every breath I take.

Do you proclaim Shahada and not refute the finality of Rasulillah SAW?

Alhamdulillah. Yes.

I have been taking my Islamic faith seriously since 2015 Ramadan.

The OP is about being a "Practicing Muslim"

And I think it's obvious that practicing the Islamic faith hasn't got anything to do with "reading" Bible. And especially when we already know that this holy book has been brutally miscegenated.

Also, if reading the modern day Bible instills an iota of what modern day Christian believe (the concept of Trinity) in your heart, then you take the risk of being at the borderlines of Shirk.

I don't remember the exact reference but from Hadeeth, I think reading Bible or any other Holy Scripts (as a form of spiritual elevation) is not a recommended by our prophet (saw).

I think, some modern Islamic scholars do not forbid Muslims from reading the Bible, but not sure why there is even a need of it? We already have Quran as complete guidance. And God is not going to ask us if we read the Bible or not?

But again, everyone is free to read whatever he or she wants, I just wanted to point out that reading Bible is not obligation on Muslims. It's part of our faith the original uncorrupted Bible that was revealed upon Prophet Esa was a true word of God. But that original book does not exist anymore.

I would be interested in becoming one.

You are more than welcome to do your own research, and use your own logic to see what talks to your heart?

The brain does the research and logic part, and the call to faith comes from the heart.

See if this is inline with your thoughts?

I think its clear Jesus(pbuh) wasnt God or the Son of God but one of mightest prophets of God.

There are many Christians who pray no different to Muslims, as the bible says Jesus(pbuh) fell to the ground in prosteration. Lent was Ramadan, Xmas was copied from old Pagan Gods.

To answer the question, A Muslim is a Muslim, the term practicising imo came from the literal Salafi sects who think being a Muslim is showing you're a Muslim in anyway. I.e you can fulfill the 5 pillars but if you wear jeans below the ankle, some sects such as these will say you are not practicising.

This should be left to God to decide.
