Arsenal FC | 2025/26 Season

Fair enough

I guess only time will reveal who out of the two of us was right

Btw, I wouldn't rule out winning the CL even though PSG/Bayern will be the favourites in the final, it's just the league I'm absolutely ruling you out of because the cracks have appeared and City won't slip from here
If Arsenal score first in the final, they will have the defending strength to keep Bayern or PSG at bay, but it will be a tough ask to come from behind due to the difference in class in midfield and attack.

Declan Rice’s limitations are on full display right now. He cost as much as Vitinha and Neves together and both wipe the floor with him. What terrible business by Arsenal.

Good 1st half performance, but midfield was non existent in 2nd half

Rice and zubimendi running on fumes at the end

If the contact was minimal, which it was then yes
If there is contact in the box, and we're not talking shoulder to shoulder, it was Eze being quicker to the ball and their defender made contact..

Soft yes, but definitely not clear and obvious error by the ref

Home advantage should tell. However. Recent Arsenal performances at Emirates have not been convincing at all.
It hasn't but we have to turn it around if we stand any chance in PL/CL...

All in all, I thought we played well tonight... yes there was a wobbly 15 minutes start of second half but we came through that...

We keep fighting

Draw in end is a good result.

However, The RB position is huge issue white is no longer good enough, playing mosquera means we getting nothing going forward

Also Zubimendi / rice can't just play well for half and the dissappear. As such performances in the remaining games in season could be costly

If there is contact and he has given it. It shouldn't be overturned. It was soft yes but once he gave it you can't change your mind it's not a howler just soft.
Was like the madueke leverkusen pen, very soft.

But yeah this shudnt have been over turned, guess referee decided he shunt have given it in 1st place

I enjoyed that game. I thought Arsenal were the better side. It wasn't Haram ball.

A draw is a good result to take back to the Emirates.

A chance to qualify for UCL final by winning your home game. Any team would take that.

Athletico were very defensive apart from a 20 Minute spell.

City have a logjam of fixtures, that physical toll will not be easy bhai

We controlled the 1st half because we used the 3 vs 2 Advantage centrally. Koke doesn't have the legs anymore in regards to running around, they missed llorente in midfield. They improved, once llorente went into midfield, that where they looked more threatening.

Better to draw this game here, then have a game like this in PL and drop 2 points.

Arsenal solid performance, job done away from home- not get beat!

Eze looked good, that turn on the move was sensational!

Mesmerizing. He's the only player in our front 4 who deserves praise for how he's performed from start to finish this season. The others have either been terrible (prime example: Madueke) or been decent for half a season (Trossard, Gyokeres etc) at best.

Not sure what this glaze over Madueke is about.

Great effort with that shot in the first half, but he's been terrible.

There's a reason why he's gone a whole calendar year in the PL without a goal.

I thought Arsenal played well. I'm disappointed with the penalty being overturned when it was a clear pen. Some may feel it was soft but it certainly wasn't a clear and obvious error for it to be overturned.

Arsenal badly miss Timber. Ben White looks finished.

It was a proper game of football unlike the circus that we saw yesterday. It was only enjoyable for kids who think football is all about goals.

A team that concedes 4 or 5 goals in a CL semifinal is not worthy of being champions.

It was a good away performance.

You are always gonna have a spell where the home team applies pressure in a big European game and it's all about staying in the game. We've done that.

Now to do the job at the Emirates

How long is Timber our for?
A few days away 6 weeks ago according to Arteta.

I said this back in January that he was clearly an injury risk and we had to do something before it was to late. It's now to late.

Anyway that's for another conversation.

But ye we desperately need him back

How long is Timber our for?

Sadly unknown at this stage. I wouldn't be surprised if it was another 2-3 weeks.

Timber is essential for our defensive stability on the right hand side. It appears that we have overplayed him.

What is his injury?
Strange prognosis......
Groin originally.

Ben White is alrite but he can't play 2 games a week at the level required unfortunately. He should have been coming on last 20 mins in games previously for timber.

Mosquera can defend but I wouldn't trust him against any quality winger tbh. They'll have him on toast

Spot on.

Timber really stepped up this year, has been impressive!

Dutch have the makings of a solid backline, fitness permitting, for the world cup

City have a logjam of fixtures, that physical toll will not be easy bhai

But it's pretty much all league fixtures and they are now in a rhythm, having a bunch of fixtures won't bother them too much

Especially as 3 of their 5 PL fixtures are at home, one is at Everton which is down the road and it's only Bournemouth they have to travel to

And it's not like City are not used to playing twice a week, they've done it for years

Also you'll end up dropping points which will give City some margin for error too

I would actually like to be wrong but I won't be
