Liverpool FC 2025/26 Season

If the board have any sense or to prevent a shock relegation battle , serious consideration on bringing back klopp as a stop gap measure .

Slot needs sacking sorry any Liverpool manager who ends up with the team in bottom half of the table should be a sackable offence .

If the board continue and throws money on panic signings in January expect the worse , slot isn't the right manager we will be near that relegation zone if this continues consecutive defeats after defeats .

He is so far below fitness that it is scarily bad!

He really should not have behaved in that way with Newcastle- a club that did him well and a top notch fan base/city.
How he went about it was all wrong and it's definitely had an impact on his start at Liverpool

I've seen enough of him to know his quality will eventually come through however two things need to happen, he needs to get fit and Liverpool need to play to his strengths (much like we used to, especially with Jacob Murphy)

But I'll certainly enjoy it whilst his misery lasts

Very well put bhai and completely understand.

Much prefer amicable splits tbh.

I think the whole debacle over the striker has unsettled them. Isak has done nothing at Liverpool. Then again Gyokores has done little at Arsenal. Sesko hasn’t done loads at United. The striker position is just very overrated in modern football in the premier league. Liverpool were stupid to not just pay the money but to chase after him and force him into the system. Nearly every top team in premier league is more threatening from out wide.

Pep had it right. He either wanted Kane or Haaland. Otherwise he didn’t even want to play with a proper striker. It’s the situation where it’s truly an elite striker who is guaranteed to make an impact or nothing.

Slot didn’t need the pressure of the expensive striker. Wirtz is also feeling more of a burden. Should have focused just shoring up the defense this season. Liverpool are a side that is going through transition but has tried to patch things in the wrong order. You always build out from the back when building up a team.

Gyokeres has been very effective at Arsenal and has contributed multiple goals and assists. There is no comparison of him with the the other two this season. I think Arsenal are very happy with the striker they got, can’t say the same about Liv or Utd.

Okay no assists but he has 6 goals so far which is excellent. I don’t think Arsenal fans are complaining about Gyo…

@KingKhanWC. Jeez Buddy. Another Spanking handed out to your boys. Serious issues in the dressing Room.

LOL Bro, the league was done weeks ago. No point becoming happy with every loss now.

Liverpool have had a plenty of success, ARsenal and UTd have won no major trophy for decades, we will be back next season.

Champions League is the big one now to aim for.

He’s been good and no complaints. But I think Arsenal would be in this position with or without him. Fans overrate the importance of the striker. I remember Arsenal fans saying the main problem with the team was lack of striker last season. I just don’t think that was the case.

Haaland is the exception. But I think every top team looks at him and think why can’t they have someone like that. But there aren’t many of that quality out there. And even Man City have been willing to adapt their team to accommodate him to an extent which Arsenal and Liverpool will not. Which is also down to the fact that the striker isn’t good enough to mess with the rest of the team around him.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Champions league! The likes of PSG, Bayern, Barcelona will tear that backline to shreads. Best you can hope for is a domestic trophy, even then pray you don't draw UTD or Palace. Lol 😆

Different competition . Madrid are the form team in Europe but we made it look easy .

Im confident we will get further than Arsenal and defo further than Utd .

Yup chasing the next Haaland would be wishful thinking but strikers come in all shapes and sizes, and Gyo is a top striker in his own right. Watch Arsenal play with and without him, it’s different. He’s more direct than all the other cf options Arsenal have. Runs with the ball, takes on defenders. Things that Havertz and Merino won’t do or Jesus is never available to do. Gyo is making a huge difference at Arsenal and the team wouldn’t be here without him.

Paul Doyle pleads guilty to Liverpool parade charges

Paul Doyle has pleaded guilty to all 31 charges after ploughing his car into a dense crowd of supporters at the Liverpool FC victory parade.

The 54-year-old admitted dangerous driving, affray, 17 charges of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, nine counts of causing GBH with intent and three counts of wounding with intent.

The Crown Prosecution Service said it was an "act of calculated violence" when Doyle drove into the crowd on the evening of the 26 May, injuring more than 130 people.

The father-of-three, of Croxteth, Liverpool, sat with his head down and sobbed as he changed his pleas on the second day of his trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

Thousands of Liverpool fans were in the city on the day of Doyle's attack to watch the parade, which started at 14:30 BST on 26 May.

The team bus had travelled down The Strand, which passes the end of Water Street, before the incident and the parade was coming to a close, with supporters heading home.

More than 130 people reported injuries after Doyle drove his Ford Galaxy Titanium into crowds on Water Street just after 18:00.

He was arrested at the scene and charged later that week.

A jury was sworn in for his trial on Tuesday but he changed his pleas earlier as the prosecution case was due to be opened.

The charges relate to 29 people aged between six months and 77 years.

Doyle, a former Royal Marine, was in tears at a number of pre-trial hearings when he appeared over videolink from prison.

He was supported in court by family members when he appeared earlier.

The Recorder of Liverpool Andrew Menary KC told Doyle it was "inevitable" he would be facing a custodial sentence "of some length".

A two-day sentencing hearing was set for 15 and 16 December at the same court.

Sarah Hammond, chief crown prosecutor for the Crime Prosecution Service, said Doyle had finally accepted that he intentionally drove into crowds of innocent people.

"Dashcam footage from Doyle's vehicle shows that as he approached Dale Street and Water Street, he became increasingly agitated by the crowds," she said.

"Rather than wait for them to pass, he deliberately drove at them, forcing his way through.

"Driving a vehicle into a crowd is an act of calculated violence.

"This was not a momentary lapse by Paul Doyle — it was a choice he made that day and it turned celebration into mayhem."

Det Ch Insp John Fitzgerald said it was only "by sheer luck that nobody was killed because of Doyle's reckless actions".

"In just seven minutes his dangerous driving meant that his car collided with more than 100 people, including children, in some cases trapping people underneath and causing serious injuries.

"What should have been a day of celebration for the city turned into a distressing and frightening experience which we know continues to have a physical and psychological impact on many people."

I've seen sieves leak less than our defence !

I'm eternally grateful for title #20 but afraid the manager's position looks increasingly untenable. He has never coached a team out of a slump, and it shows.

I'd pay for a one way ticket to Madrid for Konate. Van Dijk and Salah also need pensioning off - there's a reason why teams generally don't renew contracts for players well past age of 30.

I told you from the start the problem is the manager and his tactics most ex player now pundits have been blaming his tactics

I think Slot should stay and I don’t believe he’s under threat to lose his job. Liv ownership would know better than that.

Liv fans too should toughen up to ride out a difficult season and get behind the manager who won them the league in his first season.

Otherwise, if you’re a fair weather fan only, looks bad on you.
