Aryan Khan: Drug charges dropped against Shah Rukh Khan's son

SRK and the other muslims in Bollywood didn't have to lay stones in temples, do poojas or even wave the tricolour from their rooftops to become multimillionaire superstars in a predominantly Hindu India.

Are you saying Ind is the same today ( in terms of tolerance)as it was in the period before Modi

Who could be a better candidate to make rest of the Bollywood to understand who is in power now and how Bollywood should politically conduct itself, far right already have a firm hold on news media and over the years they have almost taken over Bollywood.

Can’t say I’m not glad about it as radicalizing masses in India to far right will eventually favor Pakistan and other countries in subcontinent ;)

Why in the WORLD does this topic need a 3 page thread ? a Rich kid did drugs and now he is getting all this attention ????? People really need to get a life.... Pathetic...

No one should givaa damn about SRK and his kids doing drugs it is not going to change anything in this world....

Its interesting how people here quickly bring religion of SRK. Yet, the boy has same religion and doing drugs, parties, girls. Will those people condemn him for being a bad Muslim?

There is no religion in this case. This is a simple case of 23 unemployed youth, having a party life, without any accountability or shame. Parents are to be blamed, and SRK himself once stated how he wants his boy to enjoy his life, sex, drugs.

The larger question is why youngsters need drugs to enjoy life? This dangerous thing getting exported big time into South Asian countries and destroying youths...

Twist In Aryan Khan Case: Witness Claims Payoff, Anti-Drugs Agency Denies

New Delhi: A witness in the drugs case against megastar Shah Rukh Khan's son, has made shocking claims about collusion and pay-offs against the Narcotics Control Bureau's senior officer Sameer Wankhede and KP Gosavi -- the alleged private investigator whose selfie with Aryan Khan went viral. Mr Wankhede has denied any wrongdoing, saying he would give "a fitting reply".

In an affidavit, Prabhakar Sail -- who said he is a personal bodyguard of KP Gosavi -- claimed he was present in a car and heard KP Gosavi speak to one Sam D'Souza of an 18 crore deal, of which 8 crore was to be paid to Sameer Wankhede. The same evening, KP Gosavi, Sam D'Souza and Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani, had a 15-minute meeting inside a car. He also said he had received the cash from KP Gosavi and handed it over to Sam D'Souza.

Mr Sail -- who is the first of the nine witnesses the agency named in a press release on October 6 -- said KP Gosavi has gone missing and he feared for his life, which was why he filed the affidavit. A lookout notice has been issued against KP Gosavi.

In the affidavit, Prabhakar Sail gave a detailed account of the day on which the cruise ship was raided. He said he was present near the boarding area of the cruise ship on October 2 and was asked to identify some of the people boarding the vessel. He said he was sent a series of photographs on WhatsApp to help with the identification.

"At about 10.30 pm I was called (by) KP Gosavi in the boarding area and I saw Aryan Khan in one of the cabins at the cruise boarding area. I saw one girl, Munmun Dhamecha and few others with NCB officials," he said in the affidavit.

After Aryan Khan and the others were taken to the NCB office, he said he was asked by Gosavi and Sameer Wankhede to sign some blank papers.

Later, he said, KP Gosavi met one Sam D'Souza who then got into separate cars and went to Lower Parel. "Till such time we reached Lower Parel KP Gosavi was talking to Sam on the phone and stated that you put a bomb of 25 crores and let's settle at 18 final because we have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede," the affidavit read.

This is sensational. If it's true, it means another agency of repute down the drain of sanghi vindictiveness.

PS: On second thoughts, no news evokes any sensation that is regarding the degradation of central agencies' reputation under bigot and his deputy.

The duo has damaged every possible agency in India which was supposed to be neutral.

So true. Aryan Khan is innocent. Confessions, drug confiscations and whatsapp chats are fake. Please take us back to the glory, corruption free days of Congress raj!

I'm guessing because he's still in jail. Rich kids do drugs all the time in the UK and don't get jailed. I guessing there will be plenty of rich kids in India doing drugs as well, not to mention movie stars. You must have big jails in India.

Those 'corrupt' days were thousand times better than current days of highest ever inflation and bigotry filled environment.

Inflation is a global issue now due to covid. It is just convenient for you to link that to BJP/Modi.

Congi outrage machine algorithm: X happened, this is worst thing that ever happened due to RSS/BJP/Modi. Aryan Khan gets caught on board a drug cruise, admits to consuming drugs, his accomplices found in possession in his knowledge, whatsaspp chat show bulk procurements of hard drugs. But, but forget it all, Modi/BJP has downed us all.

Recently, India hit a milestone of 100 million covid shots (3x more than the entire US population!). Congi supporters say this is too slow and not good enough.

On another note, the NDPS law is quite archaic and draconian (guilty until proven innocent) and I do agree it needs to be updated:

And it's so convenient for you to lay all blame at Covid's doors. Is it really Covid's fault though? Remove your saffron tinted glasses for once and see the light.

Devotee coping mechanism, nothing is their god's fault ever. All credit is his and all faults are of earlier regimes. Also, Aryan Khan's case is nothing, sanghis are even more vindictive.

Found the proof once more that devotees' IQ is as good as their master's! What's India's population vis-vis the US population? So we've fully vaccinated around 23% of our eligible population in close to 11 months and this is good enough for you and your god to beat their chests?

No wonder millions of Indians died due to such a pathetic attitude.

You quoted my points but did not address any. Used whatabout diversions.

Seems a clear cut case. Aryan has been confiscated with good amounts of drugs. That makes him rather a seller than consumer, and possibly amplified by his whatsapp chats.

From a legal point, seller and consumer are very different. And Aryan as a seller makes the punishment way more serious.

Mumbai: A complaint has now been filed with Mumbai Police seeking an FIR against Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik accusing him of obstructing probe in the drugs case and making public statements against NCB zonal chief Sameer Wankhede.

Meanwhile, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan will be represented by senior advocate and former attorney general of India, Mukul Rohatgi in the Bombay High Court in connection with his bail hearing over the cruise ship party case.

The high court on October 21 adjourned the bail hearing of Aryan Khan and other accused in the case. The Bombay High Court had refused to conduct hearing on bail plea via video conferencing and said the matter would be taken up physically on October 26.

Aryan has been lodged in Arthur Road jail since October 8 in the drug bust case. Aryan Khan was denied bail twice by the Mumbai courts.

Shah Rukh Khan's son was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with Arbaaz Merchant, model Munmun Dhamecha and others following a raid at a cruise ship party on Oct 2. The NCB said no drugs was recovered from Aryan Khan.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik stepped up on NCB officer Sameer Wankhede in connection with drugs-on-cruise probe.

Earlier, a witness in the case alleged payoffs to NCB Mumbai Zonal chief.

Naah. Whataboutery is a sanghi speciality. They excel at it.

Chill - this is an anonymous online forum. Venting your frustrations here is not going to change anything apart from you spreading your discomfort and unease.

Why would the son of a wealthy Bollywood actor want to sell drugs? Its not like he needs the money.

I do get irritated a lot at the sight of sanghis.

I have no idea if he really had drugs or not, nobody knows for sure at this stage, certainly not the general public but if this WASNT sharukh khans son would he be continually denied bail? Would he have been targeted in such a way?

Him being SRK's son subjects him to additional media attention (good and bad) and affects him both ways. Both his sins and virtue will be over exposed. The charges levied on him, anybody else would be in for much longer.

P.S. India's NDPS law is draconian, barbaric and archaic - need to be updated right away.

Why would the son of a wealthy Bollywood actor want to sell drugs? Its not like he needs the money.

Why would wealthy Raj Kundra run a porn movie shop? Regardless, he has been caught chatting about bulk procurement of hard drugs. Under civil law, this would not hold water in absence of incriminating proof. Under NDPS act, the onus falls on Aryan to prove innocence.

The issue is, no one outside of India trusts either the Indian police force, or their courts. They are all too subject to their own prejudices as has often been seen during religious riots when police stand by and let the mobs cause carnage, and then the courts of course are also presided over by the majority.

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case. Aryan was represented by senior lawyer and Former Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohatgi, in the court.

Today was the third day of hearing in the case. Aryan had been lodged in Arthur Road jail since October 8 in connection with the drug bust case. Aryan Khan was denied bail twice by the Mumbai courts.

Aryan Khan was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with Arbaaz Merchant, model Munmun Dhamecha and others following a raid at a cruise ship party on October 2.

During the hearing, Aryan Khan's lawyer Mukul Rohatgi had cited the bail to two other accused in the case. A special NDPS court on Tuesday granted bail to Avin Sahu and Manish Rajgariya, the two men arrested in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case by Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB). These two accused were arrested by NCB on October 4.

The issue is not with Indian courts or police as much as it is with the ill-informed and biased opinions of some people of a certain background.

Everyone has their prejudices as well, captain. Who knows it better than you :)

That only backs up my point though.

He has been released only on bail. The BJP will not be happy, they are trying to get him back in the jug ASAP!:maqsood

The thing is Indian police and Indian courts work within Indian territory, so doesn't matter if someone else trusts them or not. Its not their job to convince and get certified by foreigners.

This is not about being a Muslim and nobody is being targeted because of their faith. It is good to see Indian law enforcement and judiciary standing up to bigwigs. I wish our law enforcement was this strong!

It's surreal case. Any middle class family, and one would be boycotted by family and society. Any middle class family, you would get zero assistance from police, politicians, court & simply rot in Indian long bureaucracy and jail. SRK riches has paid off, and presumably most here are middle class, it should be hurtful case for all personally..

New Delhi: There is no evidence that Aryan Khan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, was part of a larger drugs conspiracy or an international drugs trafficking syndicate, and there were several irregularities in the raid on the yacht Cordelia during which he was arrested, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has found, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be named.

Indeed, contrary to the allegations of NCB’s Mumbai unit, some of the key findings of the SIT, shared by officials with HT, are: Aryan Khan was never in possession of drugs hence there was no need to take his phone and check his chats; the chats do not suggest Khan was part of any international syndicate; the raid was not video-recorded as mandated by the NCB manual; and the drugs recovered from multiple accused arrested in the case shown as single recovery.

To be sure, the SIT probe is not complete and it could be a couple of months before it submits its final report to NCB Director General S N Pradhan. A legal opinion will be taken before the final decision, particularly on the aspect whether Khan can be charged for consumption even though he was not carrying any drugs , said one of the officers.

The SIT probe seems to raise more questions over the raid itself, and the conduct of the agency’s former Mumbai Zonal Unit director Sameer Wankhede.

Wankhede, who has since been repatriated to his parent cadre, has been examined multiple times – both by the SIT and the agency’s vigilance team -- to get to the truth in the case.

Wankhede led a team of officers and some witnesses on the night of October 2 last year to raid a cruise ship, Cordelia, at International Cruise Terminal at Green Gate in Mumbai. NCB seized 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of mephedrone, 21 grams of marijuana, 22 pills of MDMA (Ecstasy), and ₹1.33 lakh in cash from cruise vessel.

Significantly, the initial findings of the SIT probe substantiate the observations by Bombay high court, which granted bail to Khan on October 28 last year while saying that “there was no evidence to suggest existence of any conspiracy”, the officials said.

SIT’s review of the Cordelia probe which involved questioning all the arrested persons, witnesses, officials at the Mumbai unit who took part in the dramatic raid along with Wankhede, has also revealed that Khan never asked his friend Arbaaz Merchant to bring drugs on the cruise; a fact corroborated by the latter during his questioning.

The procedural lapses are already being looked into in a separate vigilance enquiry being carried by the agency.

From the cruise ship, the agency intercepted 14 persons and after hours of interrogation placed Aryan Khan, 24, Arbaaz Merchant, 26, and Munmum Dhamecha, 28, under arrest on the afternoon of October 3. Subsequently, the agency arrested 17 more persons in connection with the raid.

Relying on WhatsApp chats, Wankhede’s team claimed the accused were part of a larger conspiracy. It alleged that Aryan Khan was in touch with some foreign drug supplier and the chats referred to “hard drugs” and “bulk quantities”.

However, rejecting NCB’s claims, a single bench of justice Nitin W Sambre of Bombay high court noted that there was no evidence to suggest existence of any conspiracy.

The judge said merely because Aryan Khan and others, including his friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha, were travelling together on the cruise by itself cannot be termed as foundation for a conspiracy.

“After having gone through the WhatsApp chats extracted from Applicant/Accused no. 1’s phone (Aryan’s phone), nothing objectionable could be noticed to suggest that Applicant nos. 1 & 2 (Arbaaz) or all three applicants (Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun) along with other accused persons in agreement had meeting of minds and had hatched conspiracy,” said the judge.

“There is hardly any positive evidence on record to convince this Court that all the accused persons with common intention agreed to commit unlawful acts,” the judge added.

The court also refused to accept NCB’s contention that both Khan and merchant told agency officials that they were going to consume the six grams of marijuana.

The high-profile case got shrouded in controversy when a key NCB witness alleged that the agency’s Mumbai zonal chief Sameer Wankhede was part of a ₹25 crore extortion racket targeting Khan .

The witness, Prabhakar Sail, also alleged that he was forced to sign sheets of blank paper, prompting the anti-drug agency to set up an inquiry into Wankhede.

The Khans should sue the pants of the police as there was no evidence found..it was clear that they were targeted because they are mega famous.

All those people that were supporting the narcotics department and were against the Khans in this thread, care to show themselves and accept that they were wrong and Shahrukh Khan were really been targeted by the government. I guess not!

India's anti-drug agency has dropped charges against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son in a drugs case.

Aryan Khan, 24, was arrested in October 2021 for allegedly doing recreational drugs at a party.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had charged him under laws "related to possession, consumption and sale of illegal substances."

On Friday, the NCB cleared him in the case, saying "no drugs had been found on Aryan Khan".

A charge sheet filed in court by the agency on Friday named 14 accused in the case but left out six others, including Aryan Khan, "due to lack of evidence."

Officials from NCB had on 2 October 2021 raided a cruise ship, saying they had been tipped off that there were drugs on board.

Aryan Khan had been searched and interrogated before he boarded the ship - and eventually taken into custody by the NCB.

Khan was one of several people arrested in the case and spent nearly three weeks in jail. He was later released on bail.

The case had dominated headlines and conversation on Indian social media as the NCB claimed Aryan Khan was a habitual drug user and also supplied contraband.

The case saw several twists and turns. A key witness alleged that he was "forced" to sign "blank papers" at the NCB's office in connection with the case.

Sameer Wankhede, an officer in the charge of investigation, was removed from the case after allegations of blackmail surfaced.

On Friday, Khan's lawyer Mukul Rohatgi told media that Shah Rukh Khan was relieved that his son's name had been cleared. "Ultimately, the truth has prevailed," Mr Rohatgi told news channel NDTV.

Many Bollywood actors and TV personalities have been under scrutiny since 2020 in what appears to be an investigation into claims of widespread drug use in the Hindi film industry.

In 2020, the narcotics agency questioned at least four actresses, including Deepika Padukone, but none have been accused of any wrongdoing.

They also arrested actress Rhea Chakraborty in 2020 for allegedly buying drugs for her actor boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rajput, 34, was found dead in his flat and police at the time said he had killed himself.

Chakraborty, who had denied any wrongdoing, was released from jail a month after her arrest.

The narcotics department suspected Aryan Khan of being involved with drugs. So they arrested him, conducted an investigation and finally let him off when they could not find anything wrong. It is something that happens in most functional government departments all over the world all the time.

Shatrughan Sinha says Shah Rukh Khan didn't thank him for defending Aryan Khan: 'He should have gotten in touch with me'
Shatrughan Sinha has expressed disappointment at Shah Rukh Khan not getting in touch with him to thank him after he defended Aryan Khan during his arrest and subsequent trial in the drugs case

Shatrughan Sinha was among the several celebs from Bollywood who spoke against Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s arrest last year. After Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau and kept in custody for close to a month, the veteran actor criticised the agency. Subsequently, he claimed that NCB was excessively harsh on Aryan and victimised him. After Aryan was given clean chit last week, Shatrughan said his stand was vindicated. However, in a recent interview, the actor-politician added that he did not receive any word of thanks from Shah Rukh for his support. Also read: Aryan Khan case: Shatrughan Sinha calls NCB's clean chit too little, too late: 'I can understand Shah Rukh Khan's pain'

Aryan was arrested in October last year after the NCB carried out a raid on a cruise ship near Mumbai. In May, the charge sheet filed by the agency exonerated the 24-year-old after it did not mention his name in its list of accused and stated that no drugs were found on him. Shatrugan Sinha had been among the most vocal critics of NCB and supporters of Aryan over months.

Speaking with Nation Next after Aryan’s clean chit, the actor said, “As a parent, I felt Shah Rukh Khan’s pain. Even if he was guilty, instead of rehabilitating him, they locked him up… I should also say that, as expected, I didn’t receive a thank you card from Shah Rukh, even though I was maybe the most prominent voice standing up for Aryan in all of Mumbai. But I have a habit of calling a spade a spade, and for standing up for what is right. I stood up against what I believed was an injustice. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, I didn’t receive any thanks or a thank you card from him.”

When asked if he had reached out to Shah Rukh, Shatrughan said, “No, absolutely not. Why would I, I don’t need work from him. I don’t need to get in touch with him, in fact, he should have gotten in touch with me.” However, he added that Shah Rukh had never sought his support as well. “But, to be fair to him, he didn’t ask me for support either,” he said.

Shatrughan was last seen on screen in the 2018 film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, in which he played a supporting role. The actor is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Asansol. He has previously served as a minister in the government of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan, who got a clean chit from the NCB in the last year's drugs-on-cruise case, on Thursday moved a plea before a special NDPS court, seeking return of his passport.

The court directed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to file a reply and posted the matter for hearing on July 13.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in early October last year in the high-profile drugs case, but the probe agency didn't name him as an accused in a charge-sheet filed in May.

The NCB let off Aryan Khan and five others due to "lack of sufficient evidence".

Aryan Khan had submitted his passport in the court as per his bail conditions.

On Thursday, he moved an application in the special court, through his lawyers Amit Desai and Rahul Agarwal of Desai Desai Carrimjee and Mulla, seeking the return of his passport, citing the charge-sheet that does not name him.

The 24-year-old was arrested by the NCB on October 3 last year, following a raid on a Goa-bound cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Aryan Khan spent over 20 days in prison before he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

There were several "irregularities" in the investigation of the drugs-on-cruise case involving Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, an internal report by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has found, flagging "suspicious behaviour" on the part of seven to eight officers of the agency.

The revelations are the second major embarrassment for the agency following one in May this year, when, eight months after his sensational arrest and spending over three weeks in jail, Aryan Khan was cleared of all charges and the NCB admitted they had not been able to find "sufficient evidence" against him and five others.

A Special Investigation Team or SIT set up the NCB to probe allegations of impropriety by its officers in their handling of the Aryan Khan case has sent its vigilance report to its headquarters in Delhi, officials said on Tuesday.

"The investigation found that there were many irregularities in the case. Questions have also been raised about the intention of the officers involved in the investigation," a source said.

Statements of 65 people were recorded as part of the investigations. Some people changed their statements three to four times. The inquiry also uncovered lapses in the investigation of some other cases, the source said, adding that reports have been sent about all these cases.

The accusation of the probe being an extortion bid and that there had been demands of kickbacks to stymie the case against Aryan Khan and other influential targets have not been substantiated.

However, it was found that there had been selective targeting of some people, sources said.

"The role of 7 to 8 NCB officers has been found to be suspicious in this case, for which departmental inquiry has been initiated. Permission has been sought from senior officers to take action against those who are outside NCB," an official said.

Aryan Khan was among 20 people arrested last October from a cruise ship off Mumbai, and drugs had been found on some of those arrested.

In November, the NCB headquarters removed Sameer Wankhede from the probe and transferred the case and five more from Mumbai to a Delhi-based SIT formed under its Deputy Director General Sanjay Kumar Singh. Mr Wankhede and his unit had been accused of glaring lapses.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) should focus on cracking down on drug traffickers and cartels, rather than targeting consumers, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday, in an apparent rebuke to the country's anti-drugs agency in the wake of the fiasco involving movie star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.

Speaking at a conference of anti-narcotics task forces from states and union territories, Mr Shah said that drug users were victims who needed rehabilitation, not criminalisation. He also warned of the threat of narco-terrorism and its impact on the country's economy and security.

"There should not be any mistake in the approach and our goal should be clear that one who consumes drugs is a victim and one who deals in drugs is a criminal, and they need to be dealt with firmly. We should help them in rehabilitation. The focus of investigation should be traffickers and cartels behind the drug trade," Mr Shah said.

The Home Minister's remarks follow a controversy over the NCB's handling of a high-profile case involving Aryan Khan, who was arrested in October 2021 during a raid on a cruise party. The case sparked allegations of corruption, extortion and political interference within the NCB, leading to an internal inquiry by a special investigation team that found several lapses and "suspicious behaviour" by the team probing the case and recommended action against them. In a huge embarrassment for the agency, Aryan Khan was cleared of all charges.

Mr Shah said that drugs not only made the young generation hollow, but also had many adverse effects on the country's economy. He also said that through narco-terrorism, drug smugglers could breach the security of the country's border.

"If the 130 crore Indians fight it together, we will win this battle," he said, adding that the Narendra Modi government has set a target to make the country drug-free by 2047, the 100th year of Independence.

Mumbai, Maharashtra: The former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer, Sameer Wankhede, who is accused of allegedly demanding ₹ 25 crore as a bribe for not framing Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case, on Saturday alleged that he was being punished for being a patriot.

Mr Wankhede's statement came in response to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids raided his residence and other premises on Friday.

Mr Wankhede alleged that 18 CBI officials raided his house on Friday while his wife and children were present in his house.

"I am getting rewarded for being a patriot, yesterday 18 CBI officials raided my residence and searched it for more than 12 hours while my wife and children were present in the house. They found ₹ 23,000 and four property papers. These assets were acquired before I joined the service," said Mr Wankhede.

Sameer Wankhede further claimed that CBI officials also took the phone of his wife Kranti Redkar in their possession. Apart from that, CBI recovered ₹ 28,000 from his sister Yasmin Wankhede's house and ₹ 28,000 from his father Dnyaneshwar Wankhede's house. 1800 rupees were also recovered from Sameer the residence of Wankhede's father-in-law.

CBI on Friday conducted searches at 29 locations across the country following the alleged corruption case against him and three others linked to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case.

CBI registered a case against former Mumbai NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede and three others in connection with a corruption case related to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case. The agency raided 29 locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi (Jharkhand) and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Mr Wankhede had raided Cordelia Cruise and arrested Actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in an alleged drug case.

4 Mumbai Flats, Rolex Watch: Report On Officer Who Arrested Aryan Khan
The report by the NCB's vigilance department indicates that the names of Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant were added at the last moment and the name of some other suspects were dropped

Sameer Wankhede, the former anti-drugs official who arrested Aryan Khan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, in a drugs case, had made multiple trips abroad with his family and owned vast property disproportionate to his income, says a report filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
The Central Bureau of Investigation -- which is investigating him -- based their First Information Report on this report, a copy of which has been accessed by NDTV. The agency has accused Sameer Wankhede and a few others of demanding a ₹ 25 crore bribe from Shah Rukh Khan's family, threatening they would otherwise frame Aryan Khan in the alleged drug bust.

The report by the NCB's vigilance department indicates that the names of Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant were added at the last moment and the name of some other suspects were dropped. During the raid, despite the recovery of rolling paper from a suspect, she was allowed to go, the report says.

A series of lapses in the custody of Aryan Khan indicates that it was intentionally compromised by Sameer Wankhede to give an opportunity to Kiran Gosavi, the independent witness in the Mumbai cruise raid, for misconduct and violation of Central Civil Services laws.

The CCTV footage of the NCB office collected by a probe team, had gone corrupt. The DVR and Hard Copy of the night when Aryan Khan was brought to the NCB office that were submitted by the Mumbai team of the NCB were different, the report says.

The report also mentions that in five years -- from 2017 to 2021 -- Sameer Wankhede made six trips abroad with his family. The list of nations included UK, Ireland, Portugal, South Africa and Maldives, where he stayed for 55 days.

But he has claimed that he spent only 8.75 lakh, which barely covers the cost of air travel.

The report also mentions a series of expensive watches and other property of Sameer Wankhede that are disproportionate to his known sources of income. This includes a Rolex watch that was apparently sold to him at a price far lower than MRP -- 17 lakh, down from 22 lakh.

He also owns four flats in Mumbai and 41,688 acres of land in Washim.
