I am looking forward to visit Dubai in September for 2-3 days can anybody tell me when will the schedule for the Asia cup come out hence i can plan may vacations according to the Indo-Pak game and which format will be used heard some where that India-Pak are expected to play twice in group stage and super 4's, is it true?
I have never seen an Indo-Pak game live from stadium, i really want this badly

Weather is going to be horrible. Early September is not a time to play cricket in UAE. those are the 100/100 days. 100 degree Fahrenheit temperature and 100% humidity.

The schedule has not been released yet, but it is rumored that the format will be like the 2008 edition in Pakistan and that India and Pakistan are in the same group with a qualifier.

Meaning they would meet in the group stage, would meet in the Super 4 most likely, and possibly a 3rd time in the Final.

It is reported that the group match is likely to be September 21 and the Super 4 match up on September 27th.

Latestly is reporting September 13th and September 17th.

Let the big boys talk it out while teams like BD, SL and the qualifiers aim for third spot.

Will this be a shameful humiliation or yet again a lucky fluke for Pakistan :ma :fz

It is a rubbish tournament and I will be pleased if India sends a B team even though it gets hammered.

When is the Emerging Cup? Abdullah719

Has there been any instances ever, where India has sent a "B" team in a series/tournament that features Pakistan ? Same thing is true the other way around as well.

No matter what the fans online say, Pakistan/India matches hold a lot of value and neither team is going to risk losing by sending out a fringe team.

A semi final instead of a super four round would have been better.

Each match would’ve been more meaningful and would also make the tournament more exciting.

Bring it on!

Let's see whether the Blue storm demolishes, or the green mountains stand tall.

We are going to give u back along with interest, the defeat at the CT.

Getting hyped! Wish it was in August so I could watch without my dad getting mad and telling me to go study:(

2014 asia cup? The regular captain Dhoni was rested and kohli who earlier captained in matches against Zimbabwe was handed the responsibility....it may not be B team but for sure its not a firstchoice one as regular captain was rested..maybe it was a B+ team then?

Dhoni was out with injury not rested. I thought as a Indian fan you would know that. It was India's best available team.

"Team India captain MS Dhoni sustained a left side-strain injury during the second Test match against New Zealand in Wellington, which will see him out of action in the forthcoming Asia Cup tournament to be played in Bangladesh."

Aaannd IND fans claim that us Pak fans bring the CT victory to the forum redundantly...the irony. It shows how ravaging victory it was...the sweet taste, or bitter if you suffered it, will last forever... Beautiful!

I dont no why are people calling it useless tournament , its much better than bilateral and tri series, we have a Potential of 3 Indo Pak matches, if u thnk even this is useless u should think about stop watching cricket altogether..
Really excited for this hopefully useless ACC announces the schedule asap

Emirates has a campaign and I guess I will miss out on it because schedule is not being announced... very bad planning...

Can't wait for this tournament! This Zimbabwe ODI series must have been the first Pakistan series in a long time where I've had no interest, even the tri-series I was pretty interested in, as that included Australia but this series I genuinely couldn't care less about. Bring on the Asia Cup!

You got to admire the Indians proclaiming that they will send a B Team to compete.

In my crystal ball of shattered hopes and dreams, I see Pakistan and Sri Lanka making the Finals.

With a blowout Pakistan victory reminiscent of the 2002 Sharjah Finals.

BD have a better chance of reaching finals than SL.

Yeah, see the attitude of Indian fans. They can send B/C/D...Z teams, it should not matter. Indian fans are finding their excuses even before the series started, what they will say after the loss:afridi1
Indians can even boycott the series by not playing. CT thrashing has already shaken them up, so they are preparing themselves.

Just like 2003 WC match changed the complexion of India - Pak rivalry later on, CT thrashing might have done the same to India.

Everyone agrees that Pak thrashed Ind in CT final. Why some fans think Pak will win each encounter with India in future. I think Ind will give fight as well. Better team on the day will win.

True India will want to get revange for that loss and will come out hard and explosive for sure I think the match will be close regardless who ever wins though

Short and selective memories have plagued both Indian and Pakistani fans.

Bangladesh seems to be a big contender this time around. Better performance than India in overseas recent odi series.

I doubt Sky Sports will be showing this in UK guys, don't get your hopes up. No one broadcasted it in UK last time, had to watch on Yupp tv on xbox :(

Should India send a full strength team given we are playing all bottom ranked teams? I would give some youngsters a chance here.

I hope the schedule is announced soon.I hope the games are held late in the day since the weather will be dreadful.Hoping for some competitive and interesting games.

Never underestimate BD , Shakib,Riyad,Rahim,Tamim,Mortaza are good players & team might surprise everyone by reaching final. However winning that depends on luck.

Also in ODIs Bangladesh is a strong contender.. Remember they played final of the last Asia cup(2016)..

Pakistan got lucky that Indian cricketers were fatigued after a long tour of England followed by two successive ODIs.

Fluke.

For that to happen...few top order wickets have to fall cheaply...and thats not good is it?
Unless the captain promotes himself as opener
He will come in at 100/3, and put on a centruy stand with Malik, dominating Chahal and Kuldeep while they're at it.

It is possible for sure...and 100/3 will be by which number over ?
I presume that to score 100...Sarfraz needs atleast 50 balls to face....assuming he can score at SR of 200.
Or will he score 200 in less than 100 balls....what do you feel?

India just manhandled SA in ODIs in SA....the same country where you couldnt win a single game. Are all BD fans dillusional? I thought after getting whitewashed from Afg might have changed a few...but alas.

Dude, cant you see that he his trolling?

After a complete English tour, I won't be surprised if we see new faces in English ODI side. Their bench is strong and competitive!

Lol the arrogance of some fans is so OTT that it is almost funny.
Their bench strength will make sure India's match against the Qualifier becomes an exciting one. Their entire LOI setup relies on three players, so expecting Bangladesh and Pakistan to play the final, if India is foolish enough to send a B team

As Mods you shouldn't be giving out false information. It's in the UAE.

Bhai you aren't able to understand what I am saying, it is in UAE but India is the host nation for eg when Pak plays Aus in UAE in OCT, who will be host nation? It will be Pakistan i.e all revenues generated will go to PCB and they will bear all expenses also.

This Asia Cup was meant to be held in India but since BCCI cudnt get security assurance from govt. It was shifted to UAE.

I m not much excited for this tournament. Indians have already started giving execuses. It won't be much fun giving them the thrashing.

re read these bold part .2016 was t20 over format and 2018 is 50 over format you decide what

you are trying to say .bTW it is not happening in the stadium of mirpur or dhaka so be ready don,y

expect much from bd away from home.

I think we will still have home advantage though. Because Pakistan play all of their series there and it's like a second home.

Yes definitely
But the above poster is saying how India is host nation

What?? With B team, India just played 3 times with BD in Nidahas trophy and beat them on all 3 games.

Second that :19:

I would much rather India send their B Team with newbies and test their bench strength.

India has been playing nonstop cricket and injuries have already crept in and the Test series against England has not even started yet.

If India send their b team we absolutely have to hand them a proper beating ala CT final. Both times we play them
