Australia never looked back since the perth test. 3-1 is still better than 4-1. A lot of tough decisions need to be made by Indian leadership

Thank you New Zealand and Australia for bringing india back to earth.

Indian fans can hide in their caves and cry and shout and ask why this happened why.LOL

Don't get too cocky PAK fans. After Saim 's injury your CT chances have taken a huge hit.

Considering that you anyway suck at T20's and Tests, it's perhaps not the time to be mocking others.

Over rated team
Would've been 4-1 if Gabba rain didn't save them

Knocked out of WTC thanks to Collab between Australia and Pak, injured their only bowler and lost the trophy 🏆 all in 3 days

So happy

Well played. INdia had Bumrah, Jaiswal showed up.,Bit of Reddy, Bit of Siraj, Bit of Rahul. Pant apart from one innings didn't show up.

That is nonsense. India has won without him. India did not have him at the SCG and Gabba last time. They did draw and win. Even in this match they have taken 12 wickets without him. They even took the lead. Problem is bowlers will get tired. 24 out of 25 overs bowled by 2 bowlers.
Did you watch the first 6-7 overs. That was the worse bowling i have ever seen on a helpful track.

Oh wait. India is 10 times poorer. Captain had to quit the test. Ashwin came in with full preparation for all batsmen. He was forced to retire. Jadeja is washed up. Kohli is washed up. INdia is in massive transition stage. ALso you forget this is Australia's home ground. Not INdia's home ground. You sound like India will automatically win every series here
Half of Aus Team is on verge of retirement

1. Warner already gond
2. Khawaja and Smith are also done
3. Starc will also not be around

Too many mistakes and has beens from Indian fans pov..

No one likes losing of course.

But you guys can look back at a generational performance from Bumrah and the Perth win. Jaiswal also cemented himself as a quality batsman with great potential.

It's not all bad from my perspective.

ain't the same team was washed out by a mediocre nuzeland at home?India being poorer is a statement

India should had delayaed the series after bumrah got injured. Maybe played the 5th test game next year like they did against England.

It took only 3 days to whoop them. And they want a second team to play international
He got injured in the middle just saying.
He made sure to take Khawaja 6th time before getting injured lol

I am happy that the torture of this series is over.

Congrats Australia. India did not deserve to win it. The team is flawed with too many passengers.

I hope this brings a full make over for the entire team including coach and selectors. Gambir is a disappointment and should be either kicked out or put on notice. One more series and he should be out.

Aus also need to kick out a few passengers in their team. A win over this pathetic Indian team should not be taken as a sign of turn around or get into false sense of security that their players still have some gas left in the tank.

Both teams sucked and India sucked harder than Aus. Hence the winners.

yea.. they were erratic because they went for pole hunting. Look at Starc who was thrashed as well. He has 360 wickets. SIraj has just got 100 wickets. This is prasidh's 3rd test or something. Reddy 21 is just a part time seamer. CUmmins has 280 wickets. You are comparing that bowling with this one? Even Bumrah is not that experienced. Just 41 tests. And this is Australia's home ground. THey know how to play with pink ball. India had so many things going against them form wise.

Who cares. You got whooped in 3 days....

You can celebrate khawajas wixket, while aussies celebrate a series win.

Might aswell take a stump as a tropht

Im not comparing, infact i am callinv it rubbish and you are proving my point. Without Bumrah it was rubbish.

The point was logically India couldn’t postpone the test as it had already begun..

yea That is why i said INdia is extremely poor under Rohit sharma. We never wanted him here. INdia was doing well until he joined the team. He bowled bumrah to ground. He didn't use 4th and 5th bowler. He pushed Rahul down the order. He did every harmful thing he could do.

More frustrating than humiliating.

-catch misses by Jaiswal
-brain fade by Pant
- Rohit captaincy
We've really been so poor though, Perth win makes it look closer than it was.

Adding to your points, Gill is awful, Siraj is bang avg..players who should be stepping up by now. Have no proper back ups or replacements.

Agree with someone who said rain saved this from a 4-1 drubbing. West Indies put up a better fight than our lot here

3 debutants for Australia in this series. Their batting line up was far from settled.
Khwaja Carey were useless.

Thankfully for them almost finished Smith stood up

And I’m sure he doesn't care, its so weird that Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit all have left a bad taste in the fans mouth due to over staying, Dhoni didn’t let Sachin,Dravid,Sehwag,Gauti,Bhajji, ganguly ,Yuvi stay extra after one bad tournament..

Yet these three have overstayed chosen bad teams and wasted a position.
This is why I would be happy if we are done with star culture..

Australia is now holders of the following trophies:

Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Ashes
Trans-Tasman trophy (AUS vs NZ)
Warne-Muralitharan trophy (Aus vs Sri Lanka)
Benaud-Qadir trophy (Aus vs Pakistan)
Frank Worrell trophy (AUS vs Windies)
South Africa vs Australia trophy
ODI WC
WTC

They are also #1 in ICC Test ranking.

They are the undisputed #1 in Test format currently.

Them debuting at home is easy, Indian players that debut at home do well too it’s always the away tours that matter, and honestly even Indians care when their players perform in SENA, call it being brainwashed.

Poor personal batting form is one thing. But social media politics is another. Ashwin's retirement has some story behind it. Because right before series Ashwin said what plans he had for each batsmen meaning he was going to be there for the whole series.

I think it's time for Indian selectors to make a tough call on Rohit, Kohli, and maybe Jadeja too.

No need to take these guys to England.

Australia claim Border-Gavaskar win and WTC25 Final spot

Double delight for Australia who take back India series trophy and earn spot to defend World Test Championship crown at Lord's

Travis Head and Beau Webster have seen off a late India challenge to claim Border-Gavaskar Trophy honours and a spot in the World Test Championship 2025 Final at Lord's.

The pair closed out a six-wicket win in the second session of day three.

Test debutant Beau Webster completed the chase with a boundary off Washington Sundar to finish on 39 not out in an impressive first appearance.

Individual accolades for Steve Smith have been put on hold meanwhile, with his dismissal on four earlier in the day leaving him stranded on 9999 Test runs.

A short delivery from Prasidh Krishna brought the man playing in his home Test undone, leaving Australia in a precarious position at 58/3 before the likes of Usman Khawaja (41), Head and Webster steadied the ship.

Earlier, Australia cleaned up the India tail, dismissing the tourists for 157.

Scott Boland finished with a six-wicket haul, including Jasprit Bumrah, who batted in spite of a back injury

The fifth-Test skipper did not walk out with the rest of the team for Australia's second innings.

India resumed day three at 141/6, with Cummins drawing a Ravindra Jadeja (13) edge to wicket-keeper Alex Carey, before beating the defences of Washington (12). Scott Boland claimed Mohammed Siraj (4) for his fifth-wicket at the other end.

Bumrah bowled one over after lunch on day two, with speeds down in the 125kph range. He then left the ground in India training gear to undergo scans, with fellow quick Prasidh Krishna at the post-day press conference stating that he had been dealing with back spasms.

The 31-year-old had bowled 152.1 across the nine series innings before walking off, picking up 32 wickets at 13.06, passing Bishan Bedi's record for most wickets taken by an India bowler on a tour of Australia.

An Australian win would seal a 3-1 series win and a spot in the Lord's WTC25 Final, with India honours ensuring a 2-2 series result and a retention of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. They too would still be alive for the June Final, though would need results on Australia's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka to go their way.

On day two, a stunning solo mission from Rishabh Pant pushed back on Australia's fast bowling press, though the hosts ended play the stronger, in large part thanks to a four-wicket haul for Scott Boland.

India enjoyed phases of the second day on top, though the wickets of Pant (61 from 33 balls) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (4) late in proceedings swung things back for the hosts

Batting at No.5, struggling to find a partner to accompany him and on a lively wicket where 15 wickets fell on day two , Pant countered, racing to a 29-ball fifty, a ball shy of equalling his own record for the fastest Test half-century by an India men's batter.

The wicket-keeper/batter fell looking to cut Australian skipper Pat Cummins, edging to Alex Carey for a regulation catch.

Nitish then miscued a drive to the skipper late in the day off the bowling of Scott Boland, leaving Ravindra Jadeja (8 not out) and Washington Sundar (6 not out) to see out the day.

Jadeja had gifted Australia a chance for his wicket, though Steve Smith misjudged a slips catch off the bowling of debutant Beau Webster in the day's dying embers.

Attention will centre on Smith in Australia's batting innings, with the right-hander needing just five runs to reach the 10,000 Test run mark.

Virat showing pockets to indicate I got no sand paper.

Meanwhile during WC2019 when crowd was booing smith, he came & asked them to show respect.

What a drama queen he is. If you start loosing you resort to same **** as your 1.4 billion people do.

This guy is 31 yeasr old. Has so much experience playing domestic also in form. Also you don't have knowledge about them in order to set up

That’s a very valid point, can you mention this in the Sachin Virat thread that I bumped yesterday..

Yes. That was cheap if he really meant that.

I think 3 fast bowler + reddy formula will be put to rest I think. I don't think Reddy is ready to be a 4th seamer. India was winning matches when they had 4 proper seamers. Not 3 seamers + 1 part timer.

Kohli will retire on his own term. THey are milking every ounce of 250 million USD brand value.

I think they should milk his value through ODIs and IPL.

If they take him, his technique is going to get exposed in England with the movement.

Yeah but could depend upon where we play though.

Sorry about not winning third series in a row in Australia :) We sure will try to match other teams in that respect.
Dont be sorry, if living in the past makes you feel better than its okay but I was asking how this sunday hows it going...you know with Aussies smashing your team and all

They know. But they will persist. Ravi shastri has business ties with Kohli. He shamelessly says "Kohli will play for 3 or 4 more years". He is like 200 million USD worth. He is living in ENgland . Not sure why he wants to Play Tests and brings down that average even more. If you ask me he is not even fit for ODIs anymore.

You must be seriously optimistic to expect a weak team to beat Australia 3 times in a row in their back yard lol We didn't expect to do that. That is what happened. Unless you expected. You kinda had to wait till the end of 5th test to celebrate. That is enough

Why England? I am pretty sure someone like Kohli can find some posh places around Mumbai?

Boland deserved Mom, was amazing!
Unfortunate for Bumrah and Jaiswal to be playing with Kohli and Rohit

Im talking about the current indian bowling. Did the loss make you senile or what? They bowled horribly against weak aussie batting on helpful decks.
Current INdian bowling. Siraj played last time as well. Also Prasidh is playing 2nd or 3rd test lol AKash is playing his 4th test or something. With their no.1 bowler down you expect this inexperienced attack to match Starc, CUmmins, Boland? You must be seriously a cricket illiterate not to differentiate the strengths and weaknesses, experience, ground familiarity, work load to make such a statement.

All of India was saying they where going too destroy Australia and do it with ease

I wasnt suspecting India to win,I knew Aussies would have it in the bag

But prior to the series starting indias where very vocal I even heard some Crazy fans say it would be 4-1 for India

India had best Test Playing Team in last decade and its a shame they did nt get to win WTC. It becomes more and more difficult to qualify for marque events with team in transition. Rohit and Kohli now cant stick around for another shot at WTC final. they already got 3. Same goes for CWC and last year India had its chance to win it. Not sure they will get same opportunity again in 2027.
