All of India was saying they where going too destroy Australia and do it with ease

I wasnt suspecting India to win,I knew Aussies would have it in the bag

But prior to the series starting indias where very vocal I even heard some Crazy fans say it would be 4-1 for India
Nobody said that lol Stop making up stories. Show me the proof

On this forum majority Indian fans said India has less chances to win,

India had best Test Playing Team in last decade and its a shame they did nt get to win WTC. It becomes more and more difficult to qualify for marque events with team in transition. Rohit and Kohli now cant stick around for another shot at WTC final. they already got 3. Same goes for CWC and last year India had its chance to win it. Not sure they will get same opportunity again in 2027.
India is going through transition. THey should have started this transition long back. Virat Kohli averages 30 in the last 5 years. What can you do with such a player. Tell me. He is batting at no.4 spot. One of the most vital spot where guys like Kane, Root, SMith bat. He is totally useless. He dropped 47 catches in the last 5 years to go with. Rohit is 38. But batting like 50. Can't even sight the ball properly. Then Jadeja has come to an end of his career. Ashwin quickly realized his body is not holding up and smartly retired. SO we are going to lose a large chunk of players. Shami is also at the end of his rope. KL Rahul is a stop gap player. He will also be dropped soon. We will lose at least 5 players shortly.

If you really want to know how social media politics works just visit the trending in India. YOu will get a sense of what kind of crooked things going on with guys like Rohit and his PR

Current INdian bowling. Siraj played last time as well. Also Prasidh is playing 2nd or 3rd test lol AKash is playing his 4th test or something. With their no.1 bowler down you expect this inexperienced attack to match Starc, CUmmins, Boland? You must be seriously a cricket illiterate not to differentiate the strengths and weaknesses, experience, ground familiarity, work load to make such a statement.
No i didnt expect them to match Australia, but i thought they d bowl better than Thomas Odoyo and Kennedy Otienno.

So many fans have claimed it and you can even check on youtube as well and even Indian posters claimed it as well.

Be honest with yourself had India won this series and destroyed Australia

You wouldnt say oh we knew this was going to happen, now that they lost its easy to say no one was expecting them to win

India just need to move on, and try to get some better bowlers, and move away from Kohli and Sharma in test

How can you expect to bowl to Australian batsmen who grew up in Austraian pitches successfully in their first tour that too without any match practice? Even the seasoned bowler like ANderson had to toil for hours and hours to get some kind of success.

No Australian has grown up on this kind of wicket. This was an anamoly. This was the most venomous SCG ttack ever.

Nobody expected. That too after 0-3 white wash that too under ROhit sharma. Thankfully Rohit did not join us in the first test. Captaincy was perfect. Declaration was perfect. Bowling rotation was perfect. He came back and spoilt everything. I won't worry about Indian bowling. There are so many coming through. INdia's strategy under Kohli used to be 4 fast bowlers no half baked fast bowlers even if they couldn't bat they backed 4 fast bowlers. Under Rohit they started considering Reddy as 4th seamer which is totally wrong. You need 4 fast bowlers who can be rotated. Not 3.5 . India's major success was due to this strategy. We never had to overbowl anyone.

But you have to land the ball in same area over and over. Also you had very little run to play with. You need a vastly experienced attack to do that. Even Akash would have been more handy here. But he was injured. Prasidh is an erratic bowler. He struggled even in SA. Siraj totally spent after 5 tests. He had to carry extra load as well in this match. There are physical limitations. Look even Starc was taken off after first spell. Cummins is much fitter guy so is Boland to keep on bowling.

Rohit must be laughing after today's result. LOL
He has been humiliated by Indian management when they dropped him.

Australia should consider dropping Usman khawaja alex carey starc. They all are passengers.
They need to find two solid openers.

I think they may temporarily bring back Pujara again. I don't like that one bit. I know he is a responsible guy. But he is also old. But he will be definitely better than Kohli. or Rahane too. India lacks solidity. All stroke players. They all get out easily and induce collapse

Scot boland should have played more tests.
He is so much better than Mitchell starc.

I would love to see him bowl alongside Hazlewood.

Why would they drop Carey? He was the main reason they won against NZ when they were in dire state at 90/5. He made 98 not out.

Yea?
We have rohit and kohli and kl. All should not be playing. So?

Plus novelty factor.

Kohli is far from his prime but numbers he returned are very dismal, He is one of the fittest guys in team india, dnt know whats his excuse of averaging 20 in 5 match series. Same goes for Rohit. These guys are done but i dnt think players that are close to being retiring perform that bad consistently leading up to it. there is always contribution from senior Babas across cricket teams, Rohit and Kohli are making it an exception

Starc has been terrible for quite some time now. Josh Hazlewood is obviously better than him and Scott boland is just amazing.
Starc's 35
Boland 36

With the Ashes this summer, Starc isn't going to be missing out on it neither is Boland or Hazlewood. These 3 will be their main seamers.

Aussies overall do have an aging team with most of their players in their mid 30s, Khawaja being the oldest at 38.

He could've made this Sydney test at his home ground his last test but he didn't and now with SL tour soon he will be there as they need someone who can play spin even though he hasn't been in great form.

He is going to retire after the Ashes for sure that's what he's aiming for and to finish off with that.

i think he will Retire after WTC final and he deserves to play that at least before retiring

Jasprit Bumrah is the Player of the Series for his 32 wickets: [Injury] A little frustrating but sometimes you have to respect your body, and you can't fight your body. Sometimes you have to accept. Would have loved to bowl on the spiciest wicket of the series. Just had a little discomfort after the first innings. [Chat in the morning] The chatter was about belief. The other bowlers stepped up in the first innings as well. This morning the chat was also about belief. Lots of ifs and buts. The whole series was well fought. Today also we were there. It was a well-fought series. [On the learnings] A lot of experience and learnings. A lot of the younger players have come in, and the learnings will help us in future. They have gained a lot of experience and they will go from strength to strength. It is all about adapting and learning. We will want to take the learnings forward. It was great series and congratulations to Australia. We will regroup and go forward from here.

Nice words from Bumrah. He didn't throw anyone under the bus like Rohit does.

Coz Bumrah isnt an idiot. Rohit Dhoni Kohli are really just businessmen.
Hardik taking over white ball doesn’t me happy at all .

Scott boland has unreal numbers in the tests he played in this series.
3 matches 21 wickets with average of 13.

He is better than ugliest action guy.
Scott boland remember the name.
Yea he bowled to crap batsmen that made him look better than he is.

I want him to captain. But being a fast bowler of his calibre he could miss few matches. So they have to appoint someone else. May be Pant?

Khawaja needs to be dropped, Head opens up with Konstas.

Head
Konstas
Labu
Smith
Green
Webster
Carey
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Boland

Aussies need to find another spinner or go in with Hazlewood. Lyon is finished and old.

A big shout out to @Mamoon for predicting aus thrashing even after India won the 2dt test and everyone believed India would win BGT.

Ik mamoon and I have our differences but he deserved alot of credit for having God like predictions. Even predicted pak vs eng test victory.

Huge huge shout out and to honour his words

@Devadwal @Rajdeep @jeeteshssaxena @Mesozoic @Vikram1989 @RexRex @pillionrider

Congrats! Just don’t disappear like some Indian fans who are now as hard to find as a clean cricket ball but would have been all over rubbing salt in the opposition’s wounds if we had won. :inti
Naw it's cause it's a Sunday, I wanted to relax. I already knew aus would win as soon as bumrah was injured.

India wouldn't have scored 250 like some ignorant 0IQ Mr Pollock = Ashwin and Kohli in test > YK @Ab Fan was claiming.

No bumrah means India can't defend 160 to 180 scores vs aus.

I predicted aus to win 2-1 before the series started. Not surprised 3 - 1
Vs a weakened team with kohli rohit and kl disturbing the balance plus no shami. Congrats dawg.

But only one series win in 10 years.

Full strength both teams india would still beat aus.

The wtc no one cares about. One off rubbish

Bhumrahs abscence in the final innings with the ball turned out to be the difference between 3-1 & 2-2.

Australians were tested and Bhumrah tortured them with the ball. They had to dig really deep and the 3-1 score doesn't reflect how hard India made them work.

Pacers on both sides should now go on a much needed vacation and enjoy daily massages, ice baths etc.

I didn't even watch today. I just knew aus had won.

It's over done and dusted. I have won and I stand on the top of the mountain
You don't say? When cool kohli and rohit are there in their current shape and form win is easily possible.

Yea.. he left when Austarlia was only 5 down in the first innings. So i was expecting 100 run lead. Siraj and noob Prasidh, Reddy chipped in. But India did not bat long enough. Batted only 40 overs or so. That is a fairly quick turn over. So Prasidh and Siraj had to turn up almost immediately in 3 hours to bowl again that too long 10 over spell.

It is a dumb excuse. India never had enough runs on the board to win this Test. Bumrah’s was there and firing on all cylinders when Australia won two Tests and would have won three if it wasn’t for rain.

Bumrah not bowling had 0 influence today.

Better team won the series. I was expecting 3-1 win for Aus, but a much easier path to win and not the last inning shoot out in 5th test to decide the series.

Both team had a poor top order. India apart from Bumrah had poor bowling as well. Series only got interesting due to Bumrah's super human efforts, otherwise it would have been a whitewash for India.

I have to say bowling quality is top notch to exploit the conditions. The difference is 3rd bowler between the sides. That is not small difference. Massive difference. BOland is a machine. INdia's 3rd bowlers are 2 rookies. Prasidh and Akash. I say INdia should have played both in addition to Siraj and Bumrah. They should always expect a scenario where a fast bowler can break down here as you are not going to use spin much here.

No Australia would still have won. Bumrah would have run them close but 160 wasn't enough to defend especially as the pitch became slightly easier to bat on today.

Dude. He missed both innings. Not just one innings. Also these bowlers would not have been this much tired in the 2nd innings.

Bumrah's absence definitely made a difference but India batted very badly and didn't put enough runs on the board. Bumrah alone can't win you matches as apparant from the last 4 matches where the fully fit Bumrah played but India lost

That is there. But you have a cascading effect when you miss your no.1 bowler. If Boland misses they have Cummins and Starc. But If Bumrah misses India has nobody. ALl noob bowlers. Even Siraj is a rookie relatively. In this match just like first test India took the lead. That is the difference.
