I don't expect Kohli in this form to make such excellent leaves on length. He throws his bat at much wider balls.

Cummins is an ATG.

Boland is like a bench player. But, he is very good.
 
I would like to see how the pitch behaves as the game goes on. That bounce was unusually dangerous.
 
This is surely the end of India's WTC aspirations. Cant expect Bumrah to bail them out all the time.
 
Pitch does have some unpredictable behavior. But these guys are strong into the pitch bowlers unlike Siraj who is a floater.

I think it practically ended after India lost 0-3 to the Kiwis.

Losing this Test would officially knock India out of WTC.
 
pant reflex is gone. old times where batsmen can be short midgets is over now. you have to be truly elite like srt to survive.

this under 5'8 midgets wont last long

unless again they are truly special

More than the reflex he is staying outside the crease. He still has enough time to play shot. Ball came back and came at good height.
 
i am loving the brutality.
bumrah prasidh can do the same. if only shami was there. convicts would have been wiped.

Must say this is a very difficult pitch. At least for now. Ball is taking off of good length like crazy.

Hope the conditions stay the same when Aus come to bat.

i am critical. I expect someone if his caliber to adjust. If he playing every delivery and unable to judge the length and bounce like a tailender, he should not be in the team.

I like that Rohit is out of the team. But Kohli is still riding his luck. Both of them should be no where near the test team.

India's limit has been 50 overs. I think ball has to be older. Don't expect Reddy, Sundar to produce another big partnership. We could get bowled out under 100

They are not even looking for singles. Just block block and block. They are letting the bowlers dictate the terms.

Conditions are tough no doubt. But the negative Nancy batting is making it even worse.

You do realize Austrlai was only 190 ahead when Jaiswal dropped Labu right? India could have been 2-1 worst case 1-1. It is Austrlaia that got lucky at the MCG.
 
They're doing a good job of surviving but need to score. Eventually a good delivery will come if they just keep doing this.

I’m not here to analyze “early, mature, or last legs.” I’m just a casual fan who loves watching competitive cricket for entertainment.

A closely contested whitewash? That’s still fun. But this? This is one-sided humiliation—the kind of drubbing we thought was reserved for Pakistan tours.

And to top it off, the humiliation builds up courtesy of Gambhir, the Indian saffron mouthpiece. He’s managed to replicate a Pakistan-style Down Under disaster with questionable coaching and his appalling treatment of globally loved players like Ashwin and Rohit. Bravo!
 
Ball will lose seam movement shortly. Hope they take calculated risks against webster. THat guy looks proper trundler. But he bowls straight wicket to wicket. Sometimes they can be tricky

We drop 3 catches a day. It’s irrelevant. It was interesting passage of play maybe for few hours, but shortly became boring again.

Also, what about the game India escaped because of qudrat ka nizaam rain.

If it weren’t for Bumrah and lucky rain, this was one sided whitewash

Disagree. India were saved by rain at Gabba. At MCG with current Indian batting form anything close to 250 was going to be extremely difficult to chase.
India are lucky they're still in the series.

One-sided humilation is what Pakistan has been getting for 20 plus years dude. INdia has won last 2. We didn't expect to beat Australia in Australia three times in a row with washed up oldies. Fact is Australia was lucky to win the last test thanks to one stupid shot. If India wins this one it will be draw. Australia couldn't even close the series yet after 4 tests. Against Pakistan they won the series in just 2 tests.
 
They've got India by scruff of the neck so far. Pant hoping for bowlers to tire a bit and ball to get old
