Damn almost feels like India could have made a game out of this if Umesh was not bowling..

He is hurt that is why keeps mentioning rankings.It is nothing to do with rankings.It is to do with the history of Pakistan and India and the enmity between the two countries.Indians also rejoice when Pakistan plays poorly.

Kohli was not unfortunate, he played a bad shot and was out. He was very fortunate in the first innings to not be given out when he gloved it behind.
As a true spirit of cricket winner, didn't walked in the first innings and even now didn't wanted to go.

India need to replace Shaw and Saha with Gill and Pant.

Shaw is a monstrous talent but he needs some time off to sort his game out. He will be back very soon and become the master batsman that he is destined to become.

Gill is in a better mental space right now and will score runs.

Saha is a boring coward who should never play for India again. He is an 80s and 90s Indian cricketer.

India have been holding Pant back for way too long now and are not helping his confidence.

The tons that he scored in England and Australia two years back should have been sufficient for him to be persisted with.

He is a supreme talent and he shouldn’t have to worry about his place in the side anymore. In situations like this, a quick cameo of 30-40 runs could be game changing.

It might not work in such situations but at least he will have the courage to try and get some big hits when he knows he can and will get out any time soon.

On the other hand, Saha will continue to poke his bat and wait to get out like the sheep that he is.

This guy has no business playing for India anymore. He doesn’t fit the profile and brand that Indian cricket has built over the years.

Deffo, it's a shame T20 is now taking effect on most teams, England had similar issues at the top of the order but have rectified it and their very strong middle to lower order normally rescues us.
 
I wasn’t going to post but seeing Mamoon being more butt hurt than your average Indian fan here is a sight to see :))

As for the match India will be devastated as they were in a strong position to win but just got blown away by good bowling but honestly it was more just bad batting - too much poking outside off stump, something Pak batsman love doing in Australia.

Australia def have got this Test now, 200 would have been defendable but not 90.

However I still expect a competitive series - still looking forward to the rest of the matches.

I think it is time we should seriously consider outsourcing our batting to some corporation for oversees tours.

I don't think anything will change even after replacing those two players.

Rahane and Vihari are hardly contributing with bat. Mayank looked good in last two years but his real test has started as well. We are basically a strong team at home but strictly average overseas.

All these hype leads to nothing because this is probably one of our worst batting lineup in overseas conditions.

My point is India's batting has declined big style, sure they have a excellent attack but looking back when I saw the past Indian teams their batting line up always had it imprinted as star studied, you guys must be worried with kohli departing after this test match.
 
This is what Aussies used to do to Eng. I think they finally had enough of being nice to India due to IPL. Hurting tailenders is classic Aussie technique. India will be **** scared now. Expect a few people getting mental depression and a few retirements at end of this test series which will be carnage.
India went early to AUS. Among all teams have most exposure of Aussie conditions. Then this. While as [MENTION=131701]Mamoon[/MENTION] has the nerve to call out Pakistan for going to Eng early, beating them in WC, drawing Test series in 2018

I am not.Its all about confidence. Aussies were pretty down and shaken after Smith-Warner saga. And then India land up. Its a fluke. Look today. Paine even said this is not the same team. Having Smith, Labu will give confidence to any team.

You will see what I am talking about as this series progreses. India are scarred and Kohli leaving will leave them helpless. 4-0 on cards here

It will depend on the pitches, if its bouncy and quick then yes Aus will be favourites.

But if they are more on the flatter side then India can still compete even without Kohli though his loss will be a big blow.

But above all they have to sort out their atrocious fielding - can’t drop so many catches and get away with it.

Only Ishant is missing because of IPL. Rohit's exclusion was considered as a blessing in disguise by IPL fans before this series but now he has become an integral part of this team. :inti

Yeah well I don't know what India's past batting line ups would have done differently today - the bowling was precise and nothing missed the bat, every single time an edge. Just that kinda day.

Except Shaw who has an obvious technical flaw, can't really think of what could be improved.

Worst part for India is Shami's injury, without Ishant sharma and Shami, India is looking at a plundering the remaining matches

Also India’s bowling did fine, it was the batting that failed so not sure what difference Ishant or Bhuvi would have made.

True. Batting sucks. I always said that if you don't recall.

My only issue was people descrediting our bowling. Our bowling is quality. It's always been our batting overseas thats trash. Mostly due to poor selections.
