Aussies were extremely lucky to cross 120 in the first place. So yea don't rule out India.

Ishant is the only one you have a case for.

Gill is yet to debut. We all can name players yet to debut and call ourselves under strength. Australia are under strength too because Pucovski is not playing.

Pant is available, they don't think he should be playing ahead of Saha. But okay. Although what he could have done here, I don't know.

Who was Bhuvi going to replace in this team, given you already have Ishant, Bumrah, Shami and Ashwin.

You will be truly under strength next game when Kohli leaves.

Don't think there are any young genuine international test standard quicks in Asia.
Shaheen is really the only one which is absolute top draw

Obviously this match is gone unless some total freak show happens for second time this day BUT this Aussie batting lineup doesn’t seem much.

Wade is never gonna be more than a 30s to 50 batsman on a good day; Burns doesn’t look too confident and as you go down the order no one asides from Smith and perhaps Labushagne (this series is his biggest test yet) really stand out.

this is the lowest ever score by an by an international team in 65 years. Will be a dark stain on Kohli’s captaincy record unfortunately. But not as bad as Dhoni’s 8 straight overseas losses.

They have achieved more than other Asian Test sides. Unreal and unheard dominance at home. Kohli’s India have lost only one home match in 5 years. Incredible.

Discrediting the series win in Australia in 2018-19 is useless because the same Australian side who would have smashed most times and especially the other Asian teams.

Besides, I don’t know if this is the worst performance by an Asian team in Australia, but the worst performance by an Asian team against Australia was in Sharjah Test in 2002 when a certain team was dismissed for 59 and 53.

While this is fun to watch but People who think this will be another test series of Indian whitewash down under like their tour to NZ earlier this year are severely delusional. While humiliating, 36 not out is an anomaly.

Lowest score ever in the history of test cricket in 65 years. Even worse than what Zimbabwe, or Kenya could do. India has been an embarrassment for Asia. Absolutely pathetic and dreadful performance. India is a one man show with Kohli, the same man these indian fans want to let go of captaincy. Shows how out of depth they mostly are. Indian fans deserve this humiliation.

I disagree with many of the posters. I believe India will do better under Rehane, like they would have under Rohit. 4-0 is not a given.

i think Kohli's absence will allow his team to express themselves more. They haven't looked switched on for a while.

And Rehane will captain better.

Kohli purely as a batsman is a big loss for India Anyone who replaces him will struggle.

They lose Kohli for the remaining series, their best batsmen and the captain. That is going to be a big blow. Warner and Pocovski can come back in the series as well. It is going to be really tough for India for here on. 4-0 is on the cards.

Australia batting isn’t that great either and the Indian bowling attack IS very good and they have proven that in this match.

Australia were dismissed for 40 odd against South Africa in 2011, Pakistan were dismissed for 43 in South Africa in 2013. Who cares? No one. These lowest and highest totals don’t hold long-term significance.

Kohli has 33 Test wins as captain, by far the most by an Asian captain.

Longest reign as number one team in this decade. The success of Kohli and this Indian team will be defined by that, and not by the lowest score.

I wonder if Kohli is having a rethink on his decision while fielding. But he probably will stick with it.

I'm not too convinced about a whitewash though. India might just gather together in the absence of their star batsman. Don't mind Shaw being given one more shot, but Saha must be discarded as soon as possible.

He is right, Bradman is regarded as best for his 99.94 average, not by his last innings ducks , one or two innings is not the parameter to judge a player , and one or two bad innings cannot be a conclusion of a team.
 
India may loose all Tests , but I do not think India will go down below 100 here again unless Aussies make absolutely doctored surface
 
Shane Warne was saying India should bat for 70 overs. 70 runs also did not happen. Aus need 1 more than what India made.
 
Those being like this is the greatest Asian team blah blah must remember the dirty tricks this greatest team played in 2015 when they lost short format series to SA who were No 1. Even Elgar got a 5 fer on those disgraceful pitches. Australia come in 2017 and even Shane Warne said the Pune pitch looked day 5 pitch. This is how this so called greatest team became no 1.
