2nd T20I hundred for Martin Guptill. 49 balls only. Fastest in New Zealand history. Beats Brendon McCullum's century against Australia in Christchurch in 2009/10 by only one delivery.

Guptil with all the tennis and golf shots

if u has nothing to do watch this.....250+ on cards

Amazing catch by that young man in the crowd. Showed the aussies how to catch. Pathetic fielding from them.

NZ finish their 20 overs on 243/6

Great to see a packed house and a fantastic atmosphere for this game. Aussie is the only proper drawcard here.

243/6. Thats a crazy performance by NZ.

The kicker is that Australia will give this a good shot. England chasing this score in Eden Park would have been a spectacle though.

Nah, this is more on the bowling. Both teams have bowled really poorly.

Bowling is Ok but its not definately 10+ runs an over kinda bowling. It just ground is so small, legit looks like Tennis court and not Cricket.

So after Guptills dolly drop will any western players tweet abt this being a funny or dubious match

Our bowlers have choked tonight, 17 wides.

Not been able to handle the pressure whatsoever.

Ground looks small, but still great effort by the two batting teams. With matches like these wonder if ODIs will go extinct. High run totals in ODIs can be boring especially if one side dominates. But in T20 feel like run fests can be more entertaining to watch, especially since the opposition are in it for a larger portion of the game usually. Sometimes in an ODI, match is already done in over 30, but it's merely being played out.

These grounds in NZ are a joke. Does nothing for bowler’s confidence.

Watch the bowling, they've been rubbish.

No balls, wides, balls on the pads, length ball etc.

No one has bowled it full.

Bad news for the rest of cricket world Aus have started taking t-20 seriously now.

Australia is the best T20 team in the world by a distance

Just so many powerful and clean strikers of the ball in one team is insane.

Just need to get Starc in the team.

Australia are at no 6/7 for a reason. All they (opponent team) need is 2 quality spinners for these so called clean strikers.

NZ batted equally well didn't they? Australia is at number 6 for a reason in T20s. They will struggle to win many matches against subcontinent sides.

ICC should not allow NZC to host international matches on this pathetic dwarf sized ground.

They never had Darcy Short, Chris Lynn, Stonnis and Alex carey in a team for a year.

They will be ranked no 1 soon

Not sold on them. All hit and miss, although Stoinis has decent temperament.

Half-decent spinners will eat them alive. Guptill is scoring like a mad-man here, while he struggled to break the shackles against Pakistan and specially Shadab.

Let see

Likes of Chris Lynn, Warner, Maxwell, and Finch are sucessful in IPL so don't see the problem against spin.

This is a fresh combination so past record has no meaning right now,

What a a chase by Australia. They seem to be heading in the right direction now in T20s . Just need to get Starc and Hazelwood in the team and I think they will have every base covered.

Wow. Can't wait to watch highlights. Saw the score in the morning when waking up and saw Aus needed 244 to win and thought they had no chance. I had a 9am class and was packing cos I was going back home from Uni for the week. Therefore was watching while packing and Australia were smashing it but when Warner got out I thought NZ would win. Then I walked to my seminar, started watching on my laptop in class and saw how low the RRR was and was completely shocked. Sets up Sunday nicely.

This shows the score Pakistan made of 201 on this ground when they beat NZ in that second T20I was par at best.

It also shows that our bowling is good enough to defend scores that are "at par at best" by 48 runs.

We definitely have the best T20 bowling attack in the world without a shadow of a doubt.
