Rock solid start from Australia, not great from England, and with Jason Roy injured this is already looking problematic. Big comeback needed.
 
Signs are ominous. 83/0 in 16 overs is not at all bad. 300 plus game on. There is no Roy. So it is down to Butler and Bairstow to do all the acceleration. If they are gone, pressure will be huge.
 
England's ship is slowly sinking!
Were way too confident of winning this world cup!
Looks like aussie, NZ, india and pak semis!
 
Thank god Willey Wonka is not in the ENG squad. All these Right arm phaast bowlers can be easily dealt with for our Right-handed batsmen on the coming Sunday!

I thought this England team was very difficult to beat. But they have weakness which can be exploited. More so than Australia and India imo. I think these 2 are the teams to beat.

That what I'm saying, Wood is more of a bang it in bowler but this is a pitch where you need a traditional line and length seamer.

Should've dropped Moeen and play Curran or Plunkett.
 
So, it appears that it will be battle of aussies batting against english. Lets see whether poms will chase 320 350 in this pressure game.

Butler special will be needed

Theg are bound to loose one game and they have been lucky through out, Williamson is bound for failure ,openers arent in good form,lower middle order is shaky,dont have a genuine spinner, the main threat will be from boult and Ferguson.

No they won't. India's problem was they were top heavy coming into the tournament. With Dhawan gone even top order is not heavy. Basically Rohit sharma and Kohli have to do bulk of the job. India will largely rely on their bowlers.

But what if all those failures come against a better team and not against PAK?
 
Remember Big 3 arrogance at play, One of Big 3 knocking out the arrogant partner of Big 3.. Australia followed by India kicking out England when it matters the most would be ironic story .
 
Great start from Australia on a tough pitch. Langer and Ponting in the coaching staff. Doesn't get better than that for batsmen.

Glad I have annual leave this week until tomorrow. Missed so much live coverage because of work :(

England is my second team but I will be rooting Australia for Pakistan's hopes.

Aussiea have the best coaching staff of all the teams in world cup.Probably newzealand comes 2nd in regard to coaching staff.

Times and Again from history when they got knocked out when caught in a pressure situation... Still remembers 2015 WC when Srilanka Knocked out England and this worldcup it will be India :)
 
This is look really really really bad for England. Third 100-run opening stand for Aus in this world cup.
 
All the top order guys who fail to convert the starts should learn from Finch and Warner. (Knock on wood). so far they have done a good job in this match.
 
Finch has improved a lot since he became captain. Haven't seen him so focussed since he was made captain.
 
England had to take a wicket with the new ball. Australia are in the driving seat now. England may regret bowling first.

By probability, all 3 has better chances than PAK beating NZ :) PAK is running 0-7 against Kiwis in last 5-6 years on similar conditions and last had beaten Kiwis in an ICC ODI 20 years back, since then it's 0-4 I believe.

But, WC games are not won by maths for sure, so PAK definitely has a decent chance against Kiwis.

Nobody going to abuse Finch for tuk tukking or question Warner's integrity for batting down at 60s SR for the first half of his innings?

I'm sure they'll cop some stick at the other grounds during the Ashes though.
