Never ever write off Australia. They still have 4 elite players.

They have 6 elite players - Warner, Smith, Finch, Starc, Cummins .... and Carey (he'll be, Aussies don't make Tom, Dick Vice Captain, that too being WK). And the other 5 are not jacks either.

India are overrated.Aussies are real deal.Ponting coached in IPL.He knows their weakness. Australia will hit them when it matters

IPL is domestic T20’s played on super pattas. And the tactics used are much different from LOIs. So that wouldn't help Ponting. Besides, Indians are playing normal cricket which everyone already knows.
Aussies can beat us by scoring big while batting first and then taking our big three out.

Williamson, Morgan, and Kohli are excellent captains. But Finch deserves some credit. He has come in a difficult situation and integrated Warner and Smith back in. Also led from the front with the bat. He has made excellent tactical decisions.

Deserves a lot more credit on PP then he gets.

I think Carey is a excellent cricketer who will keep on getting better. Not elite right now but could be one day. I think Finch is world class.

AT 4 down, I am sure most teams would have tried to get rid of those 10 overs and prolong the game - not Aussies, they have brought their best 3 bowlers to get one more wicket which should seal this game. It might backfire one odd day, but most times it'll work.

stoinis is picked for his death bowling. turner has to replace either maxwell or stoinis. and starc is the only other good death bowler aus has(besides richardson). the dilema arises because even maxwell is a handy spinner
