Looks like all those people complaining about us resting Smith in a 'difficult' series were wrong.

I think it had more to do with the fact that a captain isn't expected to be sent back mid-series. More understandable if it was after the test series but not in the middle of it.

Congrats Oz well deserved. Not a bad series apart from the last game all went down to the wire.
On another note the selectors and Mathews certainly got what they were asking for. Another series lost with a bunch of half cricketers and now Mathews out with what looked to be quite a serious calf injury. Given all the bowling Mathews has been doing last one and a half years or so it was only a matter of time. Well done!
