What's new

Australia convincingly beat Pakistan by 80 runs in third ODI, take unassailable 3-0 series lead

Akmal will hone in on the target with laser precision guidance.

I'd take Hafeez in a heart beat over Malik, any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Sadly BOTH will play in the WC
Hafeez has been in deadly form when he has come to the crease...

Played some gem of a knocks.

Amir and Cummins both were around 18 in 2009-10. Both had a great start but both got forced out of the game. Amir due to being banned and Cummins with career threatening back injury.

Both are now back but Cummins is still showing why he was considered such a sensation and debuted in tests at 18 while Amir is nowhere close to his old self let alone Cummins.

Sad to see and many other such wasted talents in Pakistan cricket.

It would have resulted in the match thread being more active due to babajee but don't see any benefit beyond that.

Rana would have been too difficult to handle for these Aussies on this pitch. :sanga

Senior players in a team are often talismans. They are a link to past glorious legacy. They have either been in battle or they can inspire from an iconic performance.
And then you have Malik and Hafeez.

What would we do without the seniority and experience of Shoaib Malik ?

This is what Umar should do when on the back foot against spinners, place them for fours instead of looking for sixes.

Mickey at presser:Guys in the setup are working hard.We are not there yet but will.We have some talented individuals blah blah...

Whatever you say, Imad is a large hearted cricketer. He plays well under pressure.

This is the last batting pair and we are only 5 down :afridi

Right around the time where the engine runs out of steam :ua

Guess who has the best SR amongst all Pak batsmen :ua

Right time for UA to get out(according to his whole career) but its dropped... somethings never change...

32.5 -- - Zampa to Umar Akmal, 1 run, dropped! Bit happening at the moment. Behrendorff has put down the chance at long-on as Umar came down the pitch and didn't get the distance. Was pretty regulation. He ended up trying to take it too low
32.4 --- Zampa to Umar Akmal, no run, nearly stumped! Came down the pitch, got an inside edge into the pad which trickled back towards Carey but he couldn't quite get it back to the stumps in time

The boy just doesn't have a functioning brain does he :))
