Have to say India have done fantastic. I only wish we showed this much guts in Australia.

It was shameful how Misbah and Waqar, despite all their international experience, couldn't even come up with some basic opposition specific bowling plans.

Bharat Arun isn't a big name but with a second/third string attack India have still prevented Australia from racking up huge totals.

But our ignorant cricket culture means we bow down to these former greats even if they haven't an iota of coaching ability.

Gutsy fightback shown from an injury ravaged India. The rain forecast means they might come away with a 1-1 draw, and that would be very creditable in the circumstances.

No matter the overall result in this series, India should be commended for the spirit and determination they have shown. They are quite clearly the best team in the world across all conditions.

If India draw this test , this 1-1 is far more creditable than Kohli's 2-1 win 2 year back !
Yes, maybe but still doesn't change the results of the preceding series and the hard work gone into that.

VK has brought in a cultural change in the Indian team.

Hats off to net bowlers to keep taking body blows and still not giving up.

I know it's getting repetitive, but what a fightback by the Indian team here.

What was Lyon thinking?? View attachment 106241

It was his frustration to throw the ball at the tail.

Aus team is not used to seeing even a good team fighting it back to put them under pressure and here they have been put under pressure by net bowlers and T-20 players. Aus had to keep their cool. If they do it, they can still win it. But India has given themselves all the chance to save this test.

Yeah, the current Indian team has benefitted from the previous series win in the sense that it has shredded the invincibility of Australia at home. Thats a huge mental edge right there for the Indians.

100%. Our performances in Australia have been shocking. What hurts is despite being a disaster we did create small openings. We did well at times against England and NZ but let go of both chances because we have dinosaurs who are coaching our team and who have no idea how to have good basic tactics. I really hope see the end of both as our coaches. We weren't great already and these two have set us back years.

Absolutely, incredible fightback. I have a thought, we keep hearing how test cricket is so hard, tough, etc yet we know for a fact even tailenders can make a great bat in test cricket.

Well done Ashwin, lol. Is there anything which this guy can't do?

Have always maintained that this guy has a future career behind mic as he is a very good analyst and has got a great command over the language he speaks in.

As a commentator Ash will be much better than Ajay Jadeja, Bhogle and Sanju Manju combined. :inti

Run fast between the wickets :D

It'd be a waste if he becomes a commie after retirement.I want him to train young spinners

Natarajan is so humble and lovable. If you have time check Ashwin's youtube channel where he interviews many cricketers including Nattu.

Good to see so many players from TN doing well. After decades of underachievement I guess we are seeing a golden era for the state.

Aussies are still favourites in this match. If they can make 300 and get India to bat for 70 overs or so, it would be quite challenging for India.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow. This has been a feel good test match series and no denying that there's no match for quality cricket.

Australia will look to accumulate the morning session and then try and go at 4+ rpo if they can after lunch. Ideally batting until an hour after tea or so to save the game first, and then leave it to the bowlers.

From India's perspective they need to restrict the run flow. The lesser you allow the Aussie batsman to get away the higher the chances of getting them frustrated and taking wickets regularly.
