Toss in 28 minutes time.

Can Australia make it 3-0?

First news first: two players have been handed their Test caps today - Joe Burns for Australia and KL Rahul for India. What a moment for the two guys. Burns' big-stage entry had been announced already - he is replacing Mitchell Marsh at No. 6, but the Indian management had been tight-lipped about Rahul's case. Any guess to who might have missed out for India? I will give you a hint.. he bats at No. 6.

Will b.k play ? He had just started bowling after an ankle injury. Not sure whether he should play.

Good to see we debut the new guy at six. And easy selection for India, anyone in the squad would provide more than Sharma who is shithouse.

Hope its Nooooo-hit.

Crucial toss to lose, well done Dhoni as usual losing a crucial toss.... From here on, it is just a matter of time till the result says 3-0 Oz

Only question is whether India will fight in the first session.

If not, be prepared for 3 day tests along with some brilliant press statements from our captain beloved.

India lost both the tests so far but gave a good fight, no way can a test end in 3 days.

Actually not joking when I say Ishant has bowled much better than his series figures suggest.

Ishant seems to eventually have found the right length.

This Rogers guy looks really ugly at the crease, even pakistani batsmen look more elegant tham him.

Yep but believe it or not he has scored more than 2000 first class runs this calendar year.

Aaron shouldve been picked ahead of Shami, Shami will just ball the full length drive me for 4 deliveries all day long, atleast Aaron will rough up the batsmen even though he will bowl hit me 4 balls.

See past history.

We fight well. Compete well. Even look to win test matches.

Then we lose a major session which results in a soul crushing loss and after that its a downhill.

Hope that's not the case in this test.

Sidhu: "Very harsh on Rohit to be dropped after 2 tests in which he had couple of starts. Poor chap has played 7 of his 9 tests away and he averages almost same as Pujara (in away tests) but gets dropped. Ironic that selectors are drop a player so quickly in the longer format of the game."

What a brilliant mind.

Someone give this Sidhu a medal.

Does ***** really average almost the same as Pujara in away tests?

No fight.

No passion.

No will.

Looks like getting out EVERY damn ball.

Has been doing the same in 4 countries. SA, NZ, Eng and now Aus.

Never has looked solid in the middle.

That's why Rohit is being dropped.

Does ***** really average almost the same as Pujara in away tests?

Due to the 2 home tests against WI where he scored 2 centuries.

Overseas he has played about 6 tests I think.

Pujara may average the same and has been woefully underwhelming but in terms of impact and taking the shine off, he has been way more valuable. Rohit has never once looked comfortable on the crease.

Edit: Ok Rohit and Pujara avg the same away too. Read it wrongly.

Still Rohit has played very few and his impact in matches has been really bad.

Have a gut feeling it's going to be Watson's day. Easy pitch, big day, sad bowlers. Best chance to score some runs

He's an odi bowler. What more do yo uh expect? Credit goes to dhoni for selecting him

Yeah and credit goes to Dhoni and co for leaving out Umesh all this while.

Atleast that guy picks wickets and we don't have to beg the opposition to declare.

Indian bowlers should have just kept it simple, and be patient.

Bowling short to Australian batsman is stupid and pointless.

Just look at the pitch map to Watson - that's scandalous especially on a first morning to bowl so many short deliveries.

You got to pitch it up so they drive it.

Ishant needs to fire, he is the only quality bowler for India today, somehow some way he just needs to click...

Looks to me Sharma is the best pacer in India today. Been impressive this series.

It's a classic Dhoni move; has a 90mph bowler who at least can take a wicket and shake things up. One who might become a good test bowler with a bit more experience...

And drops him for a 130k trundler who offers "control" (at 5 runs per over, ha) who will never take anything except token gift wickets.

Dhoni has set Indian test cricket back decades.

Can captain fool tell us why was Aaron dropped for Shami ? Yes he was expensive but he also had quite a a few catches dropped of his bowling.

India's bowling really is bad. When they were bowling well, the fielders were taking the p.

If India concede another 500 plus score , i swear Dhoni is gonna breakdown , India have lost two tests after scoring 400 , the bowlers must step up .

India have a big opportunity here , to get into Aussies lower order and restrict them to about 300
