I know we like to castigate Indian batting and usually it's awful overseas.

But there are some things Pakistani cricket team can learn from the batsmen.

Indians have batted not too fast not too slow. They have motored along at 3.4-3.5 runs per over all the time. They have never shown intent to chase the target and not shown intent to defend either.

So Australians don't know if to attack or defend.

More importantly, by virtue of playing this way, they've put themselves in a position, where they will have 15 overs and 90 odd runs to win or perhaps even less.

At least they are deciding their own fate. Draw if it's hard, or go for the win.

Pakistan would have batted at 2 an over, taking win out of the equation very early on. Then they would have suffered a quick loss of wickets.

At the end of the day , they would have been battling for survival because of negative cricket.
