Dont think it was that fast. Looked a bit above 150. Think somethings wrong with the speed gun

hahahhaha

To think he was a wicketkeeper until he was 14
Aman - will McCullum declare behind?

Starc too quick for batsmen and fielders too.

Nobody can catch the ball. Its coming to quick to them.

Mcculum needs to stop this over attacking rubbish. This is a vital moment in the game. He needs to make a big partnership with taylor

Wind is right behind him so he'll get some speed help from that.

I don;'t buy that was 160kph.

The other deliveries were nowhere near that.

It might be because of a crack, but finally a ball moves off the pitch - after 925 runs have been scored. Hooray!

If it was 160kph no way Taylor would have kept it out.

McCullum needs to tighten up against Starc he only has an over or two left.

Speed guns always lie. That's why they should be also connected to a lie detector. ICC take note.

Yup.

If the last 7 Kiwi wickets could add 300 in the 70 overs until the next new ball they would have a lead of 100 and the cracks would be getting difficult to bat with.

It would be like the recent first test between Pakistan and England in that the team taking a small lead would be the only one that could win.

But I don't think McCullum is smart enough to adapt to play that way. The Kiwis need to stay in, not slog and get out. They are actually in a good position, but they'll throw it away.

it is a bit odd to think that starc could randomly bowl 160...

akhtar and lee were consistently in the 150s and starc is generally in the mid 140s

Really, so you know what 160kph looks like and you can tell from watching TV, OK.
Okay.

How many times has Starc bowled 160kph before?

If he can bowl 160kph on the third day of Test match, he can surely do it in an ODI or T20, easily.

Predict Viz predicting a draw. Give the viz a bizkit.

It is not hard to believe that Starc bowled 160. I am sure Aman's reaction would be different if Milne did that.

The prospect of one of our batsmen keeping out a 160kph would be better anyway. I just doubt the legitimacy of it, a bowler bowling that on the third day of Test match is just too far fetched for me, that too with no other ball being over 155.

Batsmen get used to pace. Even a 140kph yorker can surprise a batsmen if the bowler had previously been trundling at 128-130kph. Here Starc had been touching mid 150s even before, so it wasn't something that unexpected. Batsmen were ready to face express pace.

NZ should break into the top 3 in the coming years. Solid young team.

yes they can. If they somehow convince Good bowlers around the world to join their country

They have a decent pace battery and all-rounders. Could do with a quality Test spinner tho. Struggled this series but definitely a side on the up.

Actually Nz have a chance to win this game if they can keep batting like this they can make about 750 by tea tommow and have a lead of about 200 ..they can put pressure on Ozs on the last day

Terrible innings from Baz, made the pitch look more difficult to bat on than it really is and probably had 2-3 lives...

Think you are being a little unfair, he came in as soon as the ball was changed and along with that Starc spell it was actually difficult to bat in that period.

The batathon goes on.

446/4

Overall 1005/13, how riveting.

It's like they're trying to kill the game.
