Might as well take a gamble and bowl Hafeez to Warner before he starts going berserk.

Yeah, we've seen small scores but that's not because of the pitches being bowler friendly, rather the pressures of playing in a WC. I think we need to relax. As long as we can contain them and prevent them from crossing 300, the match is in our hands.

Just need to make sure Riaz or Shaheen dont bowl short needlessly.

Since when overcast and green pitch not bowling friendly? Its just poor bowling and poor planning by the bowling coach

It didn’t swing because they hardly pitched it up. Boult or someone like Bhuvneshwar would have seriously tested Warner and Finch here.
 
Shaheen is ruining his record by bowling useless short of length deliveries, reminds me of the Misbah era fast bowlers. Absolutely boring to watch.
 
There was no need for 4 specialist fast bowlers if all you had to bowl short of length useless deliveries in the first place.
 
Pakistan should never bowl first. Even if Aus makes 250, Pak ain’t chasing it. Look at the stats.

He bowled so well in SA, was pithcing it up and was the only bowler of either sides who found some swing.

And now Hassan is bowling rubbish as well.
 
I think it's the terribel pakistan which have turned up today, so keep your hopes in check guys.
 
Any one has ideas on how ICC determines venues . . A Pakistan Australia game in Taunton makes no sense . . I am getting a small county ground feel rather than a big stadium world cup feel . . . Pakistan will bring in better crowds than most teams in England so even from a commercial perspective it makes no sense . .

Poor bowling by Pakistan, when they are bad, they are really bad. 🤬🤬🤬
 
Bowling the wrong length is one thing but they can't even bowl a consistent line. :facepalm:

I ask you one better, what is the coach doing? Young bowlers are the clear example of how coach has told them to bowl. Hassan Ali looks a degraded version from PSL since he went back under azhar's coaching
 
In the last 5 matches, Warner has been batting at a sub-80 SR but now we have allowed him to score beyond a ball.

Australia looking at a 350+ score here and Pakistan's mental block against the Aussies continues unfortunately.

Yep, there was definitely something in there, even if only for the first 6 overs, the quality bowlers will get a wicket or two if they hit the right areas enough. Pakistan pace men consistently fail to do it, and their record with the new ball reflects that.
 
Aussies are not going to fear our bowling line up. No spin and just spray guns in Hasan and wahab

If Australia negotiate 6 overs of Amir they can easily score 370 runs.

Looks like grass is cosmetic as I believed it would be and is the case with most of the pitches in ODIs now a days.
 
If you have to bowl short, aim the head. F f s. What are they even doing. No plan of 10 wickets by our bowling coach to the bowlera

We're losing it guys. These guys are being so lazy on the field. Sarfaraz not catching the ball going a bit away from him. Fielders are not attacking the ball. Leaking runs every now and then. Only amir bowled on a promising line. Sad he doesn't get support from the other end.
 
I just don’t understand why bowl first. Everyone knows Pak is the worst chasing side. Looks like WC ends for Pak tonight.

But it's fine his name is not Shaheen. This guy has played for nearly 3 years.

Exactly. Dont let fans out of delusions though. Perfect condition for bowling. And perfect example how poor our bowling unit and coach has been. No plan from them how to bowl in such.
 
As soon as I saw the scorecard at cricinfo I thought why we're bowling first and why no shadab khan because I've been hearing this since yesterday that the grass is cosmetic and pitch is dry beneath then why no shadab? What exactly our team management is doing?
 
what do you mean why bowl first..that was a no brainer..every team in the world cup will bowl first only India thats because they have two quality spinners which no other country play
