Australia v Pakistan | 1st Test | Brisbane | Dec 15-19, 2016 | Day 1

This is what happens when you have no right arm fast bowlers. Your attack becomes flat. Traditionally Left armers were just picked to give variety to the attack. Its a rubbish thinking to not pick/find even one test match right arm fast bowler.

Actually, they have over done with the wicket - unless one team collapses, getting a direct result might be tough here. Groundsmen are also learning the D/N Test. First, after WACA Test against Kiwis, they over cooked the Adelaide track, which ended in 2.75 days; then they took some grass out of 2nd time against SAF, it lasted 3.75 days; now this one looks a bit too much on opposite end. May be, under light it'll swing a bit, but normally at Gabba Red ball swings much more.
 
There's the odd jaffa from Rahat. Stupid commentator. Obviously Rahat will swing it more. He is trundling.

Haven't bowled badly at all. It's been good stuff from both the bowlers and the batsmen.
 
Huh!!! Misbah seems to have noticed something. If Yasir is on in the first hour of a test in Oz, it really must be a flat track.

Might not be the case - Pink ball doesn't last long, even less than Kookaburra. Previously, by the time Kookaburra lost it's bite, often PAK was 50/4; this time I expect openers to make it 55/1 after 23 overs. In that case Babar & Asad should bat well.

Yasir might not be as toothless as other spinners in Oz. He is a wrist spinner after all and a fine one at that too.

At the moment Misbah doesn't even know that Yasir is one of the premier spinners in world cricket today. Forcing him to bowl a negative line :facepalm:
 
I won't fault the bowling too much. It's a good batting pitch and Australia are also doing it steadily.

Strange field set. Set a normal field and toss it up outside their off stump
 
Not bad, you guys need to chill. We've kept them quiet and the wickets will come.
 
If Misbah wants to block one end off, he needs to get Babar or Azhar Ali in for that, not Yasir Shah. Shah should be attacking, one of the part-timers can play the defending role.
 
If you look at some of the posters here, one would think it's a wc sf match with 100 needed in 80 balls for Australia
 
Wahab bowling well here. Just need Yasir to bowl without that rubbish line and field set now
 
While I am still trying to figure out the legspin plan, the bowling has been pretty tight.
 
People here just blindly going for whatever the commentators are saying.

Not using their own logic or common sense, but I'm not surprised not to see much of it.

Let Yasir and Misbah do their job, they know what they're doing.

I have a feeling it's going to result in a wicket soon of the left handers. So far working right and making them very uneasy.

Yeah, unexpectedly good over. Moving the ball a bit too.

And this is also bad news for us.

Why? Because PAK has taken NO wicket so far, even after the ball moving SO MUCH. If we don't get them out at least 2-3 by 30 or 40 overs, we're all set for a 500+ score.

The same fans that speak of them being a great side when they manage to win the odd game.
