LOL! What's with the animosity, chill yaar :) Its only a game, you know! :) Did I say I 'know' they are working hard???? Did I say I watch their fielding drills? Sheesh...some people love assuming things and imagining the worst! Why not ask me to clarify bro if you felt I wasn't clear or my post was poorly worded before jumping all over it for non-existent issues in it?
I am sorry if I came across the wrong way. I just do not have much patience left seeing Pakistan drop simple catches. Fielding requires some hard work and least amount of talent and we being a national side are not able to do it even marginally well. VERY disappointing. We simply lost the 1st test match against NZ just because of poor fielding, just boils my blood.

Rauf (Ralph) will be taken to cleaners...can't believe this guy is in the test lineup...struggles to get upto the crease...

Thank you for the kind and gracious apology :)

You are right...this fielding, and esp. dropping catches is so annoying! Can't ever become a decent side when we catch like this...unless our batting becomes like India's, which is unlikely.

As you say, poor players and teams can be great fielders too....eg the Associate nations now, the Lankans and Zimbos in the 90s....its about athleticism and tons of hard work, not talent with bat and ball..

Really hope Rauf can come good here We desperately need him to

as I say that four by Watson

0/33

Man I wish I could be here in the comm thread with you guys but I have to hop on a plane in an hour. May the best team win, go the OZ!

this looks like it's gonna be a loooooong day

My first look at Rauf.............first impressions :

1) If he is a test bowler, we have a serious shortage of talent in Pakistan. He looks very ordinary.

2) We need 5 bowlers........4 bowlers are going to be worn out....I expect Asif and Aamer to be overbowled.

3) The early optimism has dwindled away in an hour. It's going to be a long day.

Ajmal correcting Moyo's field placement, he wants it more attacking

Moyo was still caught on the field setting from the last day of 3rd test against NZ when we were trying to defend the 200

First hour up.

Better bowling than we were expecting.

Pathetic catching.

Aus looking ominous now, nothing in the pitch or conditions....

looks like the team is just going thru the motions. second half of the bowling attack looks oridnary.

Well i can't get over that dropped catch. And now the Australian seem settled. Hope we get a wicket soon

good bowling from pak so far, good batting at the same time though.......
It's still early days.....

What's the difference between Rauf and Tanveer Ahmed of Karachi...the latter is in form and twice the bowler that Rauf can ever hope to be...and also he is from Karachi...

I think it is a good move to bring the spinner in early (even though he really has no other choice). Good start for Australia though, while Pakistan have kept themselves in it and are unlucky not to have at least one wicket.
