yeah and Umar Akmal can join and talk about his drop and misfield. Yousuf can come and give them tips on how to chase a ball and set a horrible field. really, it'll be one big party.

Misbah!!!

Excellent bowling in that session, should have 2 wickets. We need 6 wkts today or aus will get 450+. I am hoping drop catches are out of the way now......dreaming probably but live in hope.

We can hope can't we? If we would have held on to the catches they would have lost 2 wickets. I am hoping fielding will be better in the second half.

What makes you think that? Can we change our fielders? Don't forget big lunch and nap times in the field.

It was a chance but Moyo's throw was slow and off target. Would've been pretty close if it had been a direct hit.

Damn. How the hell Kaneria got injured? Its not like he catches the ball in the field!

Afridi needs to come back to test in place of Misbah. At least he can catch the ball.
 
its been embarrassing so far, hopefully it gets better from here or we are in deep trouble
 
We are at a point where we are hoping and wishing that our team will get better in the field. They better because if they keep this level of fielding they may be worst fielding side to play a test match.
If they had put the hardwork we would not have to hope and wish like this. Our seniors and now some youngster are not up to task to put in the what is required to be good fielders or at least able to take regulation catches.

guys keep faith and hope. Overall it wasnt a bad session...Our bowler kept the pressure on the batsmen and didn't allow them to bat freely. Ajmal is getting better.

We need a at least 3 wickets in the 2nd session and some catching.

Misbah's should be warned for his lousy fielding and then laughing about it.

I agree, we need to keep our heads high.

In terms of Run rate Pakistan have done very well, but definitely need a couple of wickets in the next session.

Ameer Sohail on Geo thinks run out chance was Salman Butt's mistake for not going behind the stump so MoYo could pass him the ball. That was sure shot run out chance.

Katich would've been in by miles if they'd tried that. The only hope was a quick direct hit.
 
We have bowled really well but our appalling fielding has given the edge to Australia. However we can comeback into the game by 2 quick wickets. Need some luck boys!
 
Ajmal has watson in all sort of problems and moyo has deep fine leg , deep square leg and long on

YK tried to yell and you know where he is.

Do you see any other captain (Aus/NZ/ENG/SAF) specially Ponting yelling at any of their players?

Do you know of these team fielding as crap as Pakistan? If they do on regular basis like this I can bet they will take their head of right there

Public humiliation only makes things worse.
 
Brilliant fielding from MoYo, wish some of the guys who are alleged to be good fielders showed that kind of effort today

cuz both Aamer and Ajmal are bowling good so need to keep the pressure up, Asif will come back fresh and will be on top..oh damn another 4..

if those teams began to field as bad as we do then im sure there would be tempers flying.

and YK was right to yell. look at the teams disclipline.
 
This pitch looks great for batting.

Pak should bat well, but it really depends on what Aus score. I can see them racking up a huge score and Pak collapsing under the pressure.

No one is saying to publicaly humilate them but at least talk to them show some concern to find what the hell is going on? why are you not up to the job? start laughing with them is no way to go or like some of the fielders went to Umar to find out if he is OK? I think I saw once one of the Aussies got hurt trying to take a simple catch and Ponting show zero concern with him because he was so disgusted.
 
the strategy should be to restrict Aus to under 400, and then try and match that.

Then, start second innings on an even footing
 
I think some of the Pakistani fans are starting to come to mother earth after the first session. Playing #7 team had made them talk big but reality is not looking pretty.

Well I still hope we do not get embarrassed here.

Certainly the bowlers are not to blame. They created their chances. Its up to the fielders to do the job of mopping up the opportunity.

yes and every ball so far, it has been a great bowling effort, you should sign up at willow.tv to view it live instead of just cricinfo. Fielding has caused this trouble but chances are coming almost every other over due to great bowling so far.

I do have the willow package and have watched most of the match.
Yes Asif and Aamer have been great. Ajmal is now settling in as well.
AR could have put more effort rather then floating the ball to be hit.

it does not look like as if we r going to get any of those two out. When i say out i mean bowl em or lbw run out but certainly not catch or run out.
