We have the bowling to make life difficult for any team as long as we put 260 on the board

1 down is the perfect position for him but he will be used as an opener because until Shahzad is in the team we will always have a walking wicket. With Hafeez its different but I hope Hafeez does not get to open he is at best a no.5 player nothing higher.

Should be given an extended run at 3; he's probably our best best for this position across all three formats. We need to make him the focal point of our batting post-Misbah and Younis.

Azhar and Shafiq are very good players, but you can see that Haris has that extra bit about him. Unfortunately so far he hasn't played a big knock other than the 80 not out vs. NZ, but he is someone who can get you hundreds from number 3 regularly, which we have lacked since MoYo.

I'd play Azhar as an opener, I don't think he is dynamic enough for number 3 and could prove to be a liability if the openers lay a strong platform. He's the best player against the new ball in Pakistan and will be an upgrade over Shehzad as an opener.
