if we can bring the margin of defeat below 200, this will give Pak the physcological edge in ODI 3down

Afridi shows he is still not mature enough to be captain. Can't even wait for the right time with 30 overs left including hauritz, just not responsible enough to be captain as the situation showed today.

I would rather take new born baby as captain of this team rather then keeping Captain Planet/brainless/ :moyo
 
I am surprised to see some Pakistani fans giving credit to Australia's bowlers. Because usually that is not the case, people come here to defend Pakistan by saying "we have more talent than Australia but today we made some mistakes".

Very different scenarios, though. We dominated that match and should have won it except for the many mistakes by Kamran, Yousuf and the other bowlers and batsmen on the last day.

Today, we have been under the hammer from the first ball. Afridi, Ajmal & Co did pull it back with the ball, and Yousuf in the field, but it has been pretty one-sided since the interval. A good old-fashioned thrashing, quite unlike the second Test.

To be fair, there was no harm in Afridi hitting out today - nothing left to play for but pride, so might as well try to hit 'em. Can't blame him for trying.

And people are protesting just because this moron was not selected into an IPL team? There are 30 overs ... 210 runs .... I wont mind him getting out to a similar shot in 41st over ... but in the 21st ?? Ridiculous

Also, I hear some much noise about the T20 in West Indies as if Pak will win it without any question! excuse me ... last time was more an aberration than routine.

If you were a franchise owner and spending $250K minimum out of your pocket .. which player from the current pak lot will you pick? It is easy to deride Modi/Shilpa & Co, but of course, you are not the one spending !!
 
Afridi never learns and people want him to captain the side? He needed to support MoYo and wait for Hauritz to attack.
 
this thing is as clear as drinking water....that OUR players lack mental toughness....
they showed no confidence what so ever....i think we can only win t20

the aim should have been to play out the overs and knock off as many runs as possible, it's a lot better than not getting to 100
 
And I am glad I preferred my sleep over this match. I got up 08:30 AM for the Pakistan Innings but they have as usual disappointed us.

57/6 should we be relaxed still? Well for me this would be the last time I would ever get up 4:30 ( that is the time where I live). This is would be the last time. I am ashamed of their performance, but please do not give it away Mohammad Yousaf as a captain, instead please save him as without a doubt WORLD CLASS bats man. Do not point fingers at him, if the team does not do anything than what is he suppose to do. Now 71/7...WOW!!!! What a performance!!!!

this fatass coach needs to stop eating parathas and biryanees and start working with the players or get his motu ass out of here....how long will it take for PCB to realize that we need a damn batting coach!!!!
 
I have serious reservations what Tony Greig just said guys!!! he simply indirectly said we got rid of Woolmer..what does he mean by that??? our team killed him..wth!!!!
 
The key problems are not on the pitch, the opposition, the captain, the selectors, it is in the mind. They are mentally weak and any semblance of rational thinking goes out of the window when a little bit of pressure is put on them.

This is probably due to the first class structure not being a high enough class level. Things come easy on the phatta pitches, and when ever there is some juice in the wkt these guys dont know how to handle it.

They will be very good at being prisoners of war, they'll blab everything within the first 5 mins.

exacty...dats the reason...itz not the case that we have less talent or we dont hav good bowlers or batsmen

we need to focus on that...remember t20 win...we played semis and final with same team which lost against india,srilanka,england...but manage to take the trophy without any difficulty...
 
Atif Aslam's song is being played right now in the ground lol. The only refreshing thing I found in this match.
 
I do not understand Yousuf's rationale in bowling first. We did nothing with the new ball and our spinner would have been better in the second innings. Add to that the fact that our batting wilts under the slightest pressure. Truly baffling decision by the bearded one.
 
Meanwhile Mahmudullah is making the Indian bowlers look ordinary.... oh wait they are ordinary :P

Where were you two days ago, when Afridi scored 48 off 26 balls? And took MOM awards for Southwales?
 
Everyone is trying to hit a six. All they needed to do is support MoYo.

There is no plan when we chase...we should never bat second if we win toss.

Absolutely agree with that, but also, each guy needs to play his natural game and do what he's best at. Afridi cannot block for 20 overs - not capable of it. So he might as well go for his shots and get us to 150 or something. The other guys, yes they should block. Yousuf has the technique and the temperament now to easily play the remaining 20 overs in Test match mode - he should attempt to do it (provided the tail supports him).

Not really, it is quite irresponsible to just throw away your wicket with 30 overs to go. The situation demanded him to stay at the wicket and not try to hit every ball out of the park. Remember Aamer against NZ? But Afridi is such an irresponsible batsman as we saw today that the guy doesn't even have the patience to stand there and fight the long fight, IMO quite cowardly to take the easy way out instead of fighting it out and controling his urges. Just a glimpse of his immaturity.
