What's new

Australia v Pakistan | 2nd Test - Day 1 | SCG | 3/01/10

The crowd has been surprisingly gracious to Asif today. Standing ovation and all. I was expecting more hostility. may be that starts later.

Gul to Bollinger, out Bowled!! Bollinger's castled now, length delivery on the stumps and Bollinger plays down the wrong line, misses it completely as the stumps are shattered, Bollinger is gone now and he races off the field, the Pakistanis will come out to bat soon,Asif takes away the ball with which he picked up a six-for today. Bollinger b Gul 9(19) [4s-2]
44.2
Gul to Bollinger, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Out batsmen need to play about 6-7 overs today. Main thing is to play off the new ball and batting will become easier

Channel 9 cuts off coverage for probably the Australian east cost or maybe just Sydney. They get to watch the more important things like news :))

M.Sami Started the demolish work Finish Handsomely by M.Asif So They Should get Some Rest To Kill The Australia in next innings

I don't know why Akmal is still out there, he should be padded up, we might need him soon.

Cricinfo--
Its raining now, the ground staff brings in the covers. Pakistan might get lucky here if the rain does not stop.

What a fantastic performance lads. Well played Sami and Asif.
I would add

:moyo for his good captaincy and :gul for that good catch of Ponting.

Asif bowled well but well done Sami for destryoing Australia's top order ,hes still got the pace and nows hes got the outswinger going too

Thanks to Gul's bowling that we have to face only 14 overs now. MoYo bowled him so we can drag the inning. He has really gone down hill fast.

If we make 250 about what we've been averaging for the past few months, we'll be fine :inti

Guys I don't want to jinx the team but just remembered this. We bowled WI out in first test 93 away series for wait......... 127 with Ws and atar ur Rehman doing the damage but we got bowled out for 140 odd and in 2nd innings haynes carried his bat and we lost the test comfortably.

lets hope the batting doesnt ruin the great moment we had just now with our bowling performance

Win the toss, hope there's a bit of moisture in the wicket for Asif to use. Bowl them out for 130 and win by an innings. Simple.

Maybe.

Part one of the plan has been accomplished, let's put the rest of it into action

guyz which opening pair is better??

Aisf/aamer
or
Asif /Sami

Sami is good first change bowler when the ball is relatively new and he can keep up the pressure.

It would be a miracle if these Pakistani numbnut openers can survive even one over...

Doesn't matter, they'd both last as long as Butt/Farhat will on this wicket

they really have to leave as much as possible.....thats the only way i can see them surviving tonight

Farhat dont play anything outside off

LOL just block the wicket with your body and bat, with the hawkeye malfunctioning you may just get lucky with the LBW reviews...

These batting collapses are killing us OG. Happens too often lately.
