1:00pm: The covers are still on, the wind is blowing but there is no rain at the moment. The umpires will come out and have an inspection and hopefully we will have some play, stay tuned. The ground staff is out and working.
Thank you.

1:10pm: The main cover is off the pitch and a loud cheer from the crowd present at the ground.

I won't be satisfied until I see the sun shinning through. They have that giant ball of fire in Sydney don't they?

If it keeps raining today hopefully, we wont be beaten 3-0 and scoreboard would be like 2-0 just as west indies :)))

So far the only update is the SCG camera it self. I guess they are right (a picture tells a thousand words) this is much better then listening to the Ausi commentry!

Hey Dude

Question; How did you get so much into cricket living in NY ?
It was during the 2003 World Cup. There was so much hype around the Indi-Pak match. That's the first match I can remember watching and since then I've been hooked. Growing up in NY baseball, NFL, and basketball were my main sports but cricket has made its way in the top 4. I still prefer baseball over cricket and NFL is tied with cricket for second. I guess its a part of growing up in NYC. Moved here when I was 5.

Must be obviously inswing being born and raised in NY but still following the game with so much interest. WHen I was in the US all I knew about cricket was what my father told me, never watched one game till I moved to Oz...
