Closer Pakistan gets to taking lead, safer it will be. Aus will lose time then.

Who better to tell us about "fighting it out" than the guy who said he couldn't play a test match because he was injured only to be photographed zooming around on a jet-ski the day before the match :akhtar

Even though he wasn't anything special in England, he did good enough for him to think of himself as capable enough of continuing. He wasn't bad in the windies series either IIRC. He only played one test in NZ.

This has been the first series where he has totally flopped. He limitations and regressing ability has been exposed and he knows it better than anyone which is why I think he'll call it quits after this series regardless of what happens in the upcoming days.

Partnership is already 40+ here. Add another 25-30 runs and getting closer to draw here.

I can assure you - on return, Shariar will say that, PAK needs Misbah as leader in tough WI tour. This is what happens when you appoint senior civil servants in dynamic posts. Their entire training, grooming is to follow a system, establishment - everything has to be polished. My father was one - his rule was 7:30 am breakfast, even on Fridays & even when I came back from abroad for few days - and even after marriage, he'll ask mom, why ****** is late at breakfast table!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shariar is a fantastic administrator, but PCB needs a young professional, in his 40s, with 2 decades of experience in Corporate Marketing or Corporate strategy, with a knack & passion for the game.
 
These two just need to stay for 10 more overs then surely Australia's heads will start to drop and we can sneak into a lead and kiss goodbye to a loss.

If Pakistan gets a lead then most overs will be gone. Aus may not get time to bat for even 5-6 overs.

It was on a tour of New Zealand or Australia, can't remember which one exactly. Was a pretty well publicised incident at the time so it should be easy enough to google

No, Sarfraz will stand up to the stumps. Wahab will stand by the sight screen and bowl from the boundary to make sure his foot lands behind the popping crease.

Umpires would warn us for negative bowling in that case, better to pack the offside and bowl two feet outside off.
 
Amir has thoroughly out batted Misbah, Sami and Babar in this series
 
Amir has thrown it away, his lack of bowling performance has taken a toll on his batting technique as well

If you can't see what's coming for a 45 years old man in cricket field, then PCB should find other task than managing cricket.

What you have said, makes complete sense, I agree - but, Misbah is not carried for those reasons. ONLY reason, Misbah is carried is that PCB hasn't created a replacement - they are stuck with an old man, who unfortunately has lost his last breather at the toughest of places. Junaids have written that many times & me included, several posters have written that - he is just one step away from collapse - people at PCB are not that dumb.

Problem is, they haven't appointed a proper deputy; they appointed a wrong ODI Captain & are more confused, therefore almost forced to carry Misbah. It was clear lack of vision as these 3 tours of AUS/NZ & WI were scheduled 2 years back.

If Azhar is made Captain being father of a 14 years old boy at 32 & Safu deputy at this "young" age as WK - 3 years down the line, almost identical things are waiting.

He is a bowler, so not much expected - but 2 things should be appreciated - 1. he knew what was his job, wasn't good enough to accomplish & 2. he made sure that it has to be a top ball to get him out.

Mentally much, much tougher guy than most there. People may laugh, but I'll make him Captain, at least someone who has the fighting attitude.
