What's new

Australia v Sri Lanka | 4th ODI | Sydney | 20/1/12

Move the field up MJ. Stop being such a *****.

Yeah give easy singles to the new batsman. That worked really well in the first game didn't it.

Now the field is back again for Herath. Rubbish.

Keeper should have gone for that one. Not sure why Chandi is keeping coming off an injury as well. Perera is a much better keepr. Don't understand WTH they are thinking.

Oh dear. Warner out to a shocker but can't review because of captain Clarke!

Warner gone. Very unlucky there to be given out LBW. Exactly why just 1 unsucessful review makes no sense. Need 2 at least.

The Aussie selectors will need a new job after this series is over

Very soon on field umpires would be used only for counting balls ....... time has come that all decisions to be made by off field umpires.

I agree but I don't think BCCI will allow this to happen and we all know why :(

Aussies need to make sure they bat out 50 overs here , if they do they should get to 210 here.

Who ever thought of this only 1 unsuccessful review for ODIs has no clue. Will not work. DRS should be there to make correct decisions. Not to make it a lottery. Need 2 minimum. Otherwise no use.

I agree one is too few the third umpire should be making the majority of the decisions with the technology available to him right at his finger tips.

Yeah plus it's a waste of money as well. I mean just 1 review is a complete joke really. Two reviews fair enough. If a team wastes their reviews needlessly that's their fault.

3 referals per innings should be allowed in both tests and odi's,it may slow down the game but it is necessary!

What a shot by Starc. Probably the best of the innings.

If you can appeal countless times, you should be able to review countless times. A wrong appeal can be penalised with reduction of runs.

Or third umpires should be able to intervene on his own and after the appeal of the players.

Dilshan should have taken that one. Easy peasy.

BCCI are jokers to ban DRS for the wrong reasons.
Well its pretty obvious as to why they aren't using it even Indian fans know why they have such a stance but I wouldn't be surprised to see them change their tune if they find some decent bowlers.

That will make things too confusing imo. I like the current system but I reckon 3 or 4 unsuccessful reviews for Tests and 2 or 3 for ODIs would be ideal. Just one for ODIs is ridiculous and just 2 for Tests is also not enough imo.

Any one saw that dude dressed up as the stumps. His kids are the ones either side of him with just a peep hole to see through lol. Poor kids. Hope child welfare is watching.

I agree .... but suppose a team had three reviews and lost all and then there is a decision that goes against them.

So I think its better that Off field umpire reviews all decisions, it will mean fair play.

Then it's the team's fault I say. I think there has to be a compromise. Otherwise there will be far too many stoppages I reckon.

Starc has impressed with his batting abilities , he can bat at number 7 easily ......... quality player in making if he keeps away from injuries.

I do not think too many stopagges. There has to be a way out , you cannot let cricket matches been ruined by wrong decisions.

Impressed with Starc should be batting ahead of Johnson.

5 overs , Aussies can still get another 25 runs here

200 plus will give them fighting total.

Can't India take some bowlers from Pakistan/Aus/Eng/SA and be done with this DRS thing?
