I think that win at Adelaide has got into the head of Kohli. Such a brainfed. What a pity. Honumanji with his part timers playing a role of spinner :smith

Jokes apart, no matter how fast bowler friendly a pitch is, always have a wrist spinner in the squad. And with India having one real good one, they definitely missed a trick.

No Indian at least not the same ones wanted to go with 4 Pacers and no spinners and I am pretty sure no Indians wanted umesh to come in for ashwin.
 
Only 2 slips and gully for a batsman who is still on nought and had a test to forget last week, apart from THAT catch.

Not actually this wicket has not shown anything for us to have needed 4 Pacers and if we don't pick wickets quickly the last session is going to be really bad.
 
Ishant has returned to bowl his usual quota of tripe.
 
One end bumrah is bowling thunderbolts other end Sharma trundling. Kohli shud get Shami on keep the pressure on both ends
 
Sharma has been psychologically damaged by a no-ball. I didnt know he was so mentally weak. Might also explain him taking more than 6~7 years to correct his length. One article on him bowling no balls and such a profound effect.

Edit: He has bowled 2 good over now, just continue lad!

This is brilliant for Aussies, just smash any part time spinner off the attack and watch Kohli end up being banned for a test. I am assuming the punishment for slow over rate results in captain ban :wa
 
Poor selection by Kohli . 1-1 or perhaps a draw if the weather on day 2 & 3 is dicey as per yesterdays forecast by BoM-Australia .
Does anyone see this pitch crumbling ? Commies did say it is dry but temperatures on day 2 , 3 & 4 dropping sharply .
 
Despite literally being wicketless so far, one good thing Indian attack has done is not too concede runs at a good clip which is a norm in such circumstances.
 
This will be the difference in the series, Aussies will keep taking blinders while we drop anything that isn't a lollipop.

That gives us a better chance to win a match (and series) though with better captaincy (and Rahane or Rohit may improve their batting under their own captaincy!)
 
Khwaja is being too ultra defensive. he should score singles and get Harris on strike if he is feeling pressure
 
Now Virat should pile on all the pressure he could on the new batsman.

You can already see the difference between last match and this one, last game with no freebies once or twice an over and here we have spray gun yadav leaking runs per usual. Good job kohli.

Usman Bhai, despite the blessings of a lot of ppers, has got to be rubbish if he can't score even here. Australia need a better option . :sree

what wristsliting, just because they lost 3 wickets doesn't mean good selection, nothing in the pitch to suggest it needed 4 pacers rather than 3. We have already seen ball keep very low for pacers and crazy bounce for spinners, we need control in such conditions Yadav's bowling is the opposite of control.

As an old saying goes "wait till both teams have batted then judge the decisions made".

Aussie playing so defensive remind me of Pak as many of us have exerted what's the point playing dot balls when one ball is gonna have your name on it Aussies need to play more positive not to take anything away away from Indian bowlers who have done well since lunch.
 
The kind of turn Vihari is getting won't amuse Indian bats one bit. And Kuldeep will be twiddling his thumbs looking this.
 
Both bats new to the crease, time to pluck out one of them at least before they settle.

So you know better than Kohli. If Ashwin is fit he had definitely go with him as jadeja will be not a good option on this pitch against 6 left hand batsmen.

He is right we started to crying very early.

Vihari just got a wicket off a ball that shot up are you seriously telling me that jadeja with accuracy won't have been a threat and by your logic lyon should not be bowling to indians as we have 10 RHB's and lyon is a right arm finger spinner.

Even bigger problem for us is, for all the moaning that idiots did about ashwin not bowling well, ashwin as per his captain's tactics kept an end tied up helping create pressure for the pacers to add to and benefit from it. With Umesh in the team there will never be a 20-25 over period where we keep things very tight and umesh will bowl at some point and leak boundaries.
Kohli got his selections very wrong especially when we come to bat and see that none of the tail can hold the bat as ashwin was the only bowler who could bat.
