So could this be the day that India ensure that they cannot lose the series?

There will be rain many times today. Hopefully Aus can capitalize on that.
 
India deserves to win this one. Hope they can finish things off today
 
pitch seems to have eased due to overcast conditions...400 lead may not be enough
 
Agrawal is killing any hope for Aus here. If India puts another 30-35 runs then Aus will hope that they keep batting for a much longer time.
 
Can Aus take last 4 in the next 10 runs?
 
If somebody said that the pitch was getting easy than she should see the cummins over when he bowled Agrawal. A deadly over.

Very slim chance if target is below 400. Still, extremely hard given it's 4th inning and the way Indians are bowling. Over 400 makes it harder at least in mind.

Aus made 151 in first innings. Let's double it. They can reach 300 with some slogs from lower middle and tail. but 400 would be impossible here.

Indians are probably targeting 425-450 here. Just to put victory for Aus totally out.

Chasing anything over 350 would make it one of the ATG test chases for victory, if not the greatest.

You have to give to India, they have played really well here esp with the ball and it would be tough on them not to win from here.

Agree, I was just saying that 400 below and over makes a huge difference in mind. I don't expect Aus to chase this. Only difference will be how Aus bats. They may bat differently for sub 400 and over 400 target.

The small risk for India is now if one of their pacers gets injured.

Hopefully Aus wins the toss in the last test. This test is pretty much gone unless some one plays a marathon inning or a blinder.

It wont matter if Aus keep on handing out low, slowish decks for an Asian team. 4 pitches similar to Perth, it would have been 4-0 Aus.

Nah, Aus won the toss there and batted in best conditions. It was very uneven in 4th inning. Toss is very important.
 
First 20 overs with no wickets will do nicely here.

Should Aus go for a win or try to draw?

Weird as it sounds I think they’d be better off trying to make a chase of it since they certainly IMO do not have the ability to block for two days and play defensive cricket

They are better off to simply dead block and keep Indians out there as long as possible. That's what I will do. Draw or win shouldn't be in their mind right now. There is just couple of day gap for next test and Indian may be bowling first there. Just keep them out by dead block.

Usually I would go with try the chase but I guess its about getting some self respect out of this game now. If they lose by 100 runs it would be a good fighting effort which they can take forward to Sydney.

It’s all relative, when you come up against quality bowling on non flat tracks, is when we find out how good you are.

Bumrah hasn’t bowled 90 mph delivery and khawaja looks at sea. Playing squared on against the moving ball off the back foot. Only a matter of time before bumrah gets him.

Epitomizes what Brad Hodge said, too many players are picked on potential, T20 exploits, limited over exploits and haven't really been made to earn their spots whereas in the past standards were very high, ie consistently being a top performer for 3 seasons, having plenty of not out scores and also a vacancy in the team being made available

I think there is some spice between Usman and the Indians here.

He was left out of side when Aus toured Ind despite scoring lots of runs earlier simply on basis of not able to play spin.

I think he's very angry with the Indian sledging. When he was out in the first innings Kohli gave him a real send off and now they are chirpping behind the stumps.

Wouldn't be surprised if Usman scores a 100 here, looks very determined.

He is the only one in this side who can bat for really long time. I want him to not get angry.Simply keep Indians out there bowling for as long as possible. Make them tired so they are not fresh for the next test after 3 days. If scores a ton by doing it then it's fine.

This is not UAE. The longer you stay here ,more the chances of getting injured against Shami or Bumrah. And he is OUT as I type this in

I dont mind Ind win to be honest. Those Aussies are arrogant as hell. They have been dissing BD for far too long lol.
