Looks like lack of Umpiring support is causing problem for Australia :))

Difference is Hayden. Physcologicaly, we are defeated against him. We have no clue how to get him. Anyways, make th most of it while he is out.

umpiring is making a huge difference no doubt. at sydney, by the 5th day indians were looking lost and broken, knowing aus was going to win no matter what.

Sharma's ball to Ponting was brilliant- thats how Ambrose use to bowl
I expect Gilchrist to make a big one today.

Ahh come one dude, enough of the umpiring cry. Losing 8 wickets in 2.5 sessions (considering 2 were give out wrong) is no excuse. Look at it that way now.

Kumble should get a picture of current score card and get it embedded on golden plate at his house so as to tell his grand children, later on, what his team did to invincible Australians at Perth :D

On a serious note- Great fight back by Indians. However, only a foolish would count Australians out... they know they have won numerous matches from situation worse than this.

Yup, if only he good move the ball away, would be a great asset with his height and high arm action! Gilly, yes he is due and he does stand up when the ship is sinking.

More importantly India have lost several form such situations.

Losing 8 wickets on a last day pitch in 2.5 sessions is very common. Look at Pakistan in last test against India, they lost 7 wickets in just 36 overs.

.
He should wait 2 days before IND wins the match by an innings

Absolutely, they are like those very annoying bug, no matter how much you crush, it still holds its breath. Didnt mean anything derogatory here just couldnt find a better analogy.

The pitch was very good. we couldnt get many australian wickets in the morning session on the same day.

Clarke gone. Sharma bowling really well. Hahahahahaha, Aussies don't know how to bat in their own conditions! LOL

It would be excellent if Aussies follow-on. I know it is bit too early to say that.

God bless us.

When the fall of Australia so obviously comes ....and it's going to be a long fall.....I'll be watching every moment of it...

Can hardly compete with India in back to back tests......South Africa are going to beat them 6- 0 end of next year....

Here's old uncle Gilchrist to try and put some bat to ball......does anyone remember when he used to be good ? Man..that was a long time ago ...

(just kidding...he's still good)

I like to think of it as an attempt to wind up ozgod...but who'm I to argue with you Sigmeund Freud .

i doubt kumble will enforce follow on.

No , he would never . Whatever happens if Australia win this from here they have done an amazing job and deserve their 17 win record .

Since when does due mean "crap
" ?

Saffer,
enough of your criticism of Aussies.
i am scared of Gilly.
He is out to prove to his detractors that he is the most destructive batsman in the Aussie line up.i only hope he fails again. if he scores big here, i will consider your 'woofing' as the reason and you will be charged as guilty!

Australia have been in this position and recovered countless times. They might even take lead from this position.

Singh to Symonds, no run, thats well bowled, a zooming yorker catching Symonds by surprise, he jams bat down just in time and the ball then spins away - like an offspinner, literally - and narrowly misses hitting leg stump

that will be a nightmare, if it happens. But I think a wkt is coming soon, can sense it

Ponting looks totally at sea at the moment. He'll either get out for below 10 or he'll settle down and make a big one. OZ need him to hang in there.

Woke up to check the score (it's 2am here in Boston) and looks like Ponting doubled my prediction - he looked totally out of sorts, his head was totally not aligned with his body at the crease. Symmo and Gilly are staging some kind of comeback though.

Saffer's lame attempt at a gee up is so ordinary it's not even worth responding to. Just make sure you don't lose to the WI again son. Since you've lost Ginger Meggs I'd put money on Zimbabwe to give you a run. If you manage to beat them maybe we can talk about whether your team deserves to be put on the same level as OZ, India and the other top tiers. This thread is reserved for the 1st and 2nd best Test teams in the world. Last I checked you lot had slipped down to No4. ))

Back to bed - I reckon that OZ will probably be rolled for about 250 or so. Gilly's been riding his luck a wee bit. Once he goes the tail isn't that great at wagging, Lee and Clark aside.

On another note, before I go to bed, geez Healy is annoying to listen to. Not only does he have that hick Cane Toad accent, he starts squealing like a little girl whenever the OZ hit a boundary. If he wasn't so perceptive with his comments I'd mute him.

Amazing counter attack, but actually this was always on cards, isn't?! :D

Just one wicket and things would change hopefully...

jackal786 said:
Bounce is there. May be the bowlers didn't hit the right length enough? ofcourse with an exception of Lee.

Yep :19: Remember Australia have a very inexperienced bowling attack and the international players don't bowl on the WACA very often in FC matches.

India have bowled the right length and got the ball to move - well done

:))) :)))

Think I might have heard this before from South Africa LOL

Weren't you going to beat us last time and lost 5- nil?

Australia are not beaten yet

Thats been the problem for every team there is always something that gets the aussies off trouble, I can see them taking a lead and india being bowled out cheaply and them going on and on about their fairy tale 17th win in a row...

Time for the great international conspiracy to give us some umpiring assistance :D

Anyways we have Warne in next , he can bat...oh wait :6:

Now do you realise why I wanted Kumble to click picture of scoreboard at those very moments? :))

One more session of that and we are in front :)

Kudos to Gilly for taking Aus. to such position. His counter-attack style is just phenomenal, second only to Sir Richards I would reckon...

India are in box seat here!

Gilly needs to get a ton and aussies tail needs to wag!

what was the "possible" reasons for Asad Rauf in giving Symonds out a little late? was the verdict difficult to adjudge?

What do you mean by this man? Is it some kind of joke? :20:

yes, he misses warne's reassuring presence when it comes to facing a rare crisis like this for the Australian batting line up :D

Yes is a joke. We had the luxury of Warne for so long it feels really strange not having him around.

Is what we have said for many years - give Warne a bowl - or having him come out to bat when we need assistance.

He seems to take a long time to give decisions in general.

Please don't tell me the umpire is now taking too long to give the batsman out.....after an "intimidatory appeal" by Kumble :D

Relax.
I was following up on Cricinfo.
wanted to check up with those who are watching "live" whether there was any doubts on the edge/snick or any other doubts like glove/arm guard....thats all.

Quite honestly, having only mostly seen him bowl against India, this IS a joke :) I think it probably because of the way our guys have always treated Warne (tendu, lax, gang, dravid etc) he has never been much of an entity to be appreciated for us.

life would be quite easy if things are as good as u predict!

when Gilly started going after RP, I was just thinking the first over of 20-20 match at bombay and wondering whether that could be emulated :) but didn't imagine it could be so true :) :)

Ideally, Navjot Singh Sidhu should have been first name in that list! ;-)

Gilly gone to RP singh and india are into the tail now...

they need to knock last few wickets over cheaply!

India have been impressive as a bowling unit in this inns.

good morning ...

ozzies folding like a deck of cards ..

pressure of 17 in a row got to them.

I can't believe this. i am actually supporting the indians in this match. Hindustani aaj haq ki rah par hein.

so just for this match, Go India, destroy the cr@p Aussie ego.

Are India again going to stop Australia breaking another record???
not sure. because India have to really defeat Aussies. a draw is almost out of question now. we got a healthy lead, but by no means heavy..

Seems like india enjoy playing on bowler friendly surfaces!

A possible famous win been set up?

i don't understand the wisdom of giving mitchell sami the new ball ... ponting would be much better off giving it to stuart clark !

If you watched first innings, Johnson is getting good bounce and carry on this surface, plus he beat the bat quite a number of times.

6-0 maybe was a little bit cheeky of me....I have to allow for one draw for rain...

ok Ozgod..well beat you 5- 0 .
