Australia vs India| 5th ODI | Hyderabad | 5/11/2009

So many bad memories of Karachi 05 flooding back here.

OMG!! And on that note I have to leave, gratz to both teams for a thriller!

On a serious note, Tendulkar doesnt deserve to be on the loosing side.

Wow, this game brought back the memories of the Karachi ODI (Pak Vs India) where Inzi scored a brilliant hundred, brought Pakistan close to victory and yet we couldn't finish it.

We did it Afridi Fan, hasanb.

We did it Seen Sheen! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy

:D

:))) I'm just gonna hit the sack, 4am here I will sleep a happy man.

This game is so much like Karachi few years ago.
Pakistan didn't deserve to lose that and i have to admit that India didn't deserve to lose this one ( doesn't mean i am not HAPPY though :P )

Unbelievable...another Tendulkar ton in vain!! Great game though. Australia is still an excellent team. Congrats to them :14:

Mate i think your avatar perfectly sums up the mood on PP right now!

Hahaha India Is Super Choker Worst Then South Africa.......sachin Making Thoese Useless Centuries Hahahaha Loserrrr

HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAA........somethings never change...another masterclass knock for a losing cause......feel sorry for tindu. lol

As soon as Tendulkar got out, i said "MISBAH" staright away.
You single handedly bring your country close to the victory and then play a stupid shot to get out, Tendulkar must be feeling how Misbah felt.

Well played Australia!!!!!

Yep definitely like the Karachi game in 2004 :

Inzy didn't score as many as SRT, but it was his knock that kept Pak in the game. But in the end , like today the home team was just short.

Great match but tendu/India choked again as usual.......but jokes aside, what a great innings from little Master.........simply out of this world.....I don't care whether it's C or Z team, when one can play like what Tendu did today, it's just amazing.........
MY STANDING OVATION TO LITTLE MASTER.......

India SOUTH AFRICA-oked!!
:))

Going by India's historic and majestic chokes (like today) it won't be long before we would be saying South Africa India-oked.

That's what makes us a great team. Optimism, unity, and belief till the very end! :)

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I'm in a pickle, whether to sleep or not to sleep. Jummah is in 9 hours I think I can survive till then and then get a few hours sleep before the Pakistan game. :afridi I'm too full of positive energy right now.

Sixty one years ago, at the end of a tour of England by Don Bradman's famous pack, John Arlott put it thus: "Australianism," wrote Arlott, "means single-minded determination to win - to win within the laws but, if necessary, to the last limit within them. It means where the 'impossible' is within the realm of what the human body can do, there are Australians who believe that they can do it - and who have succeeded often enough to make us wonder if anything is impossible to them. It means they have never lost a match - particularly a Test match - until the last run is scored or their last wicket down."

Can India recover to win the series from here?

One thing is for sure harby's 5-2 prediction has just gone flying out of the window :))

Even though Tendullkar has played well, but he will always be called 'CHOKER'.

It was the good game though.

Dhoni being honest. Mental calculation lost it.

They shouldn't have gone on the go slow between 35-40 overs.

I'd say he must not sleep in the first and the last session of our match tomorrow. As Shahid The Afridi features in both. :afridi

both teams dint deserve to lose , well played both Aus and my team ..feels bad , but still proud of my team as we have come close to winning from almost impossible positions ..just a matter of finishing off matches
been a long time i have been so into a ODI series , some really close matches .

we needed 18 of 19 with 4 wickets in hand , where was the problem of rrr ? it was always about keeping wickets .

There was about 3 overs where India got 5 runs between the 35th-38th overs (correct me if I'm mistaken but it was somewhere in that region), where if they had got even another 7 runs, the game could've been finished in the 49th over.

A remarkable innings by Tendulkar - India played well but Australia still mananged to win this match although they are missing some key players in this tournament and it speaks volumes about their quality and fighting spirit. Can somebody tell me how many main Aussie players are injured and not participating in this tournament?

Lee
Clarke
Bracken
Siddle
Warner

I think Tendulkar panicked when Jadeja started hitting those boundaries, making it tough for Tendulkar to get the record, 200 etc.

Take that record out of the equation and India would have won comfortably. But disregarding records/stats etc is something Sachin is simply incapable of.

As for the other Indian batters, with the exception of Sehwag, PK, and Bhajji, they all tend to be overawed by the situation. That is, they tend to choke (for want of a better word).
:)
