I can see us getting some serious lead here. Bradman and Lara doing a great job. :akhtar

Amazing stuff by the tail.
I have so much respect for both of them, even if they do get out now. Ponting is definitely losing it.

Seriously puts Pakistan batting performance into perspective! I mean these two negotiated the new ball!

someone PLEASE make an animation/video/thingy that you can post of that yousuf stare and post it here for jokes LOL

I'm off, hope :asif and :gul can get to 300, anything more is a bonus.

Yousuf gets to stare at them non-stop for 20 minutes during tea, after that the only 300 in their minds will be a 300 partnership :moyo

Grit, courage, passion, aggression where was this sort of play in Sydney day 4.

This is the real Pakistan.

This pitch is like a multan pitch with a bit of bounce. Really flat and movement is zilch so if we follow on get 400 do a Kolkata 2001- now that would be a turning point in our history.

Great job by these two!

Hope to make another 22.

It's also a great batting wicket, Umar/Yousuf would be pissed.

Agree because Yousuf leads by example so 300 partnership should be a walk in the park for them. I think he will be offering them massages and anything they want to eat and drink delivered on a golden platter!

we are 360 runs behind in dead rubber...what's there to love beside Malik and Salman can score indead rubbers?

It was planned by Malik and Butt that they don't score on this flat pitch.:))

Malik and butt played great innings. The bowling was tight and we could easily have folded for 150. Dead rubber but still a test in aus, a chance to stop the rot against them.

Do you think Australia should put Pakistan on follow on?

May be an hour ago Ponting would have had that in mind, but these have hung around for a while and the longer they stay out there (until they surpass 320), the chances of enforcing the follow on will decline.

Alright. I want them to put Pakistan on follow on. But as you said the chances of that are really slim. Our bowlers will have to work really hard. I mean Bollinger and Siddle both were not great with the new ball so imagine how much hard work our bowlers will have to put in

Much appreciated - I missed it what happened? (Well why and to whom did MoYo stare at?)
Maybe there should be a GIF's thread too

Well the bowling was pretty ordinary from Australia in the last 40-45 min. I would think Ponting would want his bowlers bowling against after bowling 100+ overs (and counting).

The stare that Yousuf gave to Butt after he ran him out was so fierce that he scored a century fuelled by nothing but fear. The tailenders have been so terrified after sitting inside the dressing room looking at Yousuf's stare all day that Asif has scored over 25% of his total test runs today and our mild mannered #9 has transformed into the beast known as Umar Gulchrist.

Do not underestimate the power of The Stare™ :moyo

Ponting so terrified of the Yousuf stare that he's agreed to put all the fielders on the boundary :moyo

It's 5.14am in UK right now and i'm still up watching this. Any other UK heads stillup watching?

Good going by these two..really commendable performance..some of our batsmen need to hang there heads in shame..I think that caused Aus to bat again..

At most Punter will bat till tea tomorrow. That will mean we'll have to survive 4 sessions batting last. Well............ No Comments.

Gul has the third highest score. Played the new ball better than Imran and Manzoor,

I think Aussies will bat till lunch tomorrow and try to give us a score of 400+ to chase.
They will go all out to score around 4rpo.
17 overs this session plus 30 before lunch 180 is doable.

105.4
Hauritz to Mohammad Asif, OUT, well flighted again and Asif takes the bait, lofting in the air to mid on and the catch is held. Pakistan all out for 301 - 118 behind.
Mohammad Asif c Hussey b Hauritz 29 (52b 5x4 0x6) SR: 55.76

screw up by cricinfo..I wish it was 118 behind..but its 218..who says cricinfo doesn't help Pak lol? :))

why have australia not enforced the follow on. Doesn't make any sense. If rain comes, it's more likely to be a draw. Pakistan never usually score more in 2nd innings than 1st innings too.

I really don't understand the Punter. Australia will probably win still though.

disappointed by Sarfraz, he is not going to cement his place in test getting out to part timers like Katich

Not sure why you named Imran Farhat in there, the guy has done well I think.

I think Ponting should have gone for follow on. I hope it rainsso they don't have too much time to bat.

Ponting his some right to be conservative, it is not Moyo only domain

so we trail by 218.... with rain due itll be a tie for sure.

Not that much rain, will be a result for sure as the rain will go over at night for the most part and there will be plenty of time for a result. Otherwise i would have put a big bet on for a draw.

I think it was cause his main bowlers are tired

The field setting should be 8 men on bounday from ball 1.
This seems for sure maybe he can get the 9th one on boundary as well to slow the rate and in hope for a draw.
