Here is a clue, replace Pakistan captain Misbah with Michael Clarke and see if our batsmen start playing differently?
Captaincy has nothing to do with how batsmen bat. In last 30 years ( since I have being watching cricket) Pakistan lost 80% of matches because of batting failures, quality of batsmen is poor. Does not matter who is Captain. End results were better when we have world class bowlers, batting was always lower class. Captaincy is overrated in cricket.
Pakistani fans and players also are obsessed with Captaincy because of Seudo offesary culture. Everybody loves to be called Captain or Ex Captain, others don't have those insecurities.
Player quality comes from cricketing culture and infrastructure, you focus on that rather than who is captain

The reason Aus bats first is we like putting runs on the board early.

Those bowlers were there before he became captain
My point is that the captain doesn't instruct the batsmen on how to bat...you have to identify players who can rotate the strike and drop and run and nudge the ball around

I should look at what I type when watching the matchBowler making a gets rid if clarke
Silly warne...talking rubbish as usual
It's on impact, not where the bowler finishes up sliding to.Clarke should not have walked straightaway. That was a No-ball

Maxwell got lucky there, his aerial air falls between fielders
Maxwell is dangerous, SL doesn't have bug turning spinners, maxi will come down and decimate our spinners.
Why does Senanayake always looks drunk?
Maybe if you had played little bit of cricket you'd know that captains can't fire players. It is not Desi mind set, its a typical human behavior to be fear of consequences. If Pakistan had a better leader, ofcourse they would have gone with that particukar player. Captaincy can't change these Pakistani players, none of them apart from Maqsood and Haris Sohail look like they 'd listen to anyone. A captain can only provide moral boost, without Misbah doing that no way someone like Ajmal would claim he is a better captain than Imran Khan. This Pakistani team won't change regardless of captaincy change.instead of wasting 30 years of watching cricket if you had actually paid attention to any organization, any corporation or even a smaller companies you would have figured out that CEO or the team lead is automatically makes the entire bunch of followers emulate him or else they don't survive - an upbeat and tight leader keeps his team on their toes - a dheela leader makes the entire team dheeli.
Problem with desi mindset is that generally we are EXTREMELY POOR leaders, EXTREMELY POOR organizers and EXTREMELY POOR administrators, BUT we are THE BEST work horses IF the leader is right.
